Negative experience: My experience with this company has been extremely disappointing. They were irresponsible, frequently provided misleading information, and showed little respect for their customers’ needs. Communication was poor and it often felt like the focus was solely on making money rather than providing honest and professional service. I would not recommend this company.

Fantastic experience: Today we attended a house viewing with Tomasz and he was fantastic - polite, friendly and most importantly he listened when we stated we didn't want to hear the usual pushy sales pitches that you'd usually get when viewing a house. It meant that we were able to have a constructive and candid conversation, without any pressure. We have a few more viewings booked with other Estate Agents over the weekend and I can only hope they go just as smoothly; he has set the standard high.

Negative experience: I wish I could give 0 stars! The WORST experience I have ever had private renting. AVOID LEADERS AT ALL COSTS! Viewed the place it looked fine, we were told the window seal and carpets would be sorted for when we moved in but that wasn’t the case! The estate agent who I viewed the house with.. I was asking questions and she didn’t have a clue, couldn’t tell me anything! Absolutely useless! Paid our deposit, signed our tenancy and paid the remaining upfront costs and then 4 hours later we were still waiting to receive our keys?! Communication was absolutely poor. We weren’t told anything about being assigned a property manager and then were assigned one about a week or so after moving in. She was so unhelpful, abrupt and dismissive. We moved in on 29th January to no water supply so had Anglian water out at 2am in the morning to fix it. Then damp started to appear all over the walls in every room, damp carpets, our belongings being ruined! We had loose plugs, electrical wires sticking out of walls, broken toilet, radiator hanging off the wall etc. I tried getting in touch with someone from leaders but heard nothing.. so I got in touch with the council, who got in touch with leaders and I then finally heard from the property manager about a week after moving in! So it took the council being involved for her to acknowledge us! She was so unhelpful, slow & unprofessional! She wasn’t wanting to get things sorted imminently for us at all. The property manager was horrendous at responding and just simply didn’t care. I explained that I am pregnant and living in these conditions is extremely dangerous but this didn’t matter to her/ them. I could write a book about how bad this experience was and all the issues we faced with the house. Leaders had clearly gone and wiped the walls down before we moved in to hide the extreme damp issues and let us move in knowing it was bad! I took a video when I viewed the place and it was fine, so this is the only thing I can think was done. The place wasn’t fit for animals to live in, let alone human beings and especially me being vulnerable! We paid to move in and relax and embark comfortably on our new journey of becoming parents but have ended up having to leave after 1 month! So much money, time & belongings wasted/ruined because leaders allowed us to move into these horrendous conditions and couldn’t even be bothered to help resolve the issues. So unsettling & disruptive.. All of this stress & upheaval whilst I’m pregnant! We asked for leaders to speak to the landlord and for us to be given some sort of refund and were only given 50%. I finally got that through after a week and it was £22 short! Wonder who’s pocket that’s gone in to! The property manager’s manager dealt with this after coming to see the house because I don’t think she believed how bad it was. Her staff couldn’t be bothered to deal with it and I thought she was a bit more on our side and could understand how bad this situation was for us and how much upset and distress it was causing but I was wrong! She was just as bad as the rest of them! I don’t know what sort of place they are running there but it’s diabolical! I think nursery children could run that estate agents better than them in there! I don’t ever do reviews or make complaints but this experience was absolutely appalling and so unsettling for us. Then to top it off, they give you a welcome home pack with little bits and pieces in there and they were all out of date. Just topped the whole experience off. If anyone is going to view a place with leaders, check everything thoroughly! Feel all the walls, check plugs and everything because they won’t tell you, they’ll hide it or tell you it will be sorted before moving in and then nothing will be done! I would recommend not even bothering with them, the place is run by incompetent children but if you do then just check everywhere throughly before paying any money or signing anything!

Fantastic experience: Couldn’t recommend and Joe and the team enough! They weren’t actually our estate agents during the purchase of our property but our sellers estate agent. We had numerous issues in the chain - and Joe and his team chased up everyone in the chain from our estate agents to everyone else’s solicitors while providing us with constant updates on the whole chain throughout the purchase. Needless to say if/when we sell we will 100% be contacting Joe at Leaders very professional and on the ball! Thanks Guys, we love the new house

Negative experience: Im not pleased with leaders service .very disappointed instead.This people dont care at all .Whenever we report an issues they dont fix it. a house that has no freezer,washing machining ,oven stove and raditors are not heating. Most of the things were old wn we moved in they promise to fix some off the things but never fufill their promise. The other day we had a serious blockage in the house and l called them one of the workers who answered the phone started shouting at me telling me that you must fix things on your own .l tried told her that when we moved in the house some of the things needed attention and not up to date you promised to fix things. The lady was saw rude and told me that were you forced to move in. I dont skip any day to pay rent .but they are trictly us bad. Im saw dissapointed with this company. Poor service ineeded

Fantastic experience: Jaznay was amazing. I’ve dealt with her from start to finish and she has worked so hard to find me the right property. She showed me around a property which wasn’t right for me, and following that she had a look and sent me lots more which would suit me much better. I requested a viewing on one, which was fully booked, and she kept me in mind to call as soon as she had a cancellation. I loved the property and applied straight away. Negative experience: Got to be the worse letting agency out there, rude behaviour, with no professionalism whatsoever, letting agent Katy tried hard selling no deposit scheme. If you don’t use it and want to go on a traditional deposit route then you are not preferred. Agent is so unprofessional that they are not even remotely interested in offering anything else knowing the fact Im still on a lookout for a property. Will be reporting to Ombudsman for breach of the Tenancy Fees Act.

Negative experience: I sincerely feel scammed by leaders. I moved in since July into an apartment and they cannot fix a door bell. It has cost my family but don't seem to care. After multiple calls they keep making false claims of willing to repair it but nothing has been done after 4 months. I really wish there were ways to report such service.

Negative experience: Quite possibly the most pointless estate agents we've interacted with. It's harder to make an appointment here for a viewing than it is getting a GP appointment We ring, no answer. When we do manage to get through, we're told to make an online enquiry. We've submitted multiple enquiries over the last few months and not a single time have we had a response. And when we call them up chasing for a response, we're told to send an email enquiry. It's literally a vicious circle

Negative experience: I contacted this estate agency to arrange a viewing for a property they were advertising to let. During my first call, the line was cut off and the woman I was speaking to never called back. After several attempts, Katie Bryant eventually answered. She admitted her colleague had spoken to me earlier, but it seemed my contact details hadn’t been taken, very unprofessional. Katie arranged the viewing but abruptly ended the call. She later sent a confirmation email with the wrong date, which I had to correct. On the day, I travelled from London to Milton Keynes, only for Katie Bryant not to turn up. I called the agency and left a message, but received no response. Extremely poor service, the staff came across as disorganised, unprofessional, and unreliable. I would strongly advise others to avoid this agency.

Negative experience: Went for a viewing, made an offer then got rejected by the landlord. The Lettings Consultant didnt really help much with our application, then when we tried to call her afterwards she ignored all our emails and calls and never responded to us again when we simply wanted to ask how we could strengthen our application in future. Funny she had ended her email "Please let me know if there’s another property you would be interested in." and then never proceeded to speak to us again? Very odd and unprofessional.

Negative experience: Worst experience ever. They booked me for viewing 3/4 times and all the time they cancelled it on the day. One time I reached outside property for viewing and they didn’t inform me that its been cancelled until I called them. Very unprofessional, unreliable and always in hurry to cut the phone. Negative experience: I would give zero stars if I could. This is by far the worst experience I’ve had with a letting agency. Their process of handling repairs and basic communication is completely ineffective. From the very first day I moved in, I have not been able to use the shower due to ongoing defects and despite raising this issue repeatedly, it has been over a month and nothing has been resolved. The agency fails to act as a proper bridge between tenant and landlord, showing no urgency or accountability in getting problems fixed. Instead, I’ve been left in limbo, chasing for updates and living with unacceptable conditions. A long list of defects still remains unattended, and every attempt at communication feels like it goes nowhere. Tenants deserve at least the basics: timely repairs, clear communication, and a safe, functional home. This agency has delivered none of that. I would strongly advise anyone considering renting through them to think twice before committing.

Negative experience: Avoid at any cost!!!! Where to start ..... I live abroad and I trusted these people to rent and look after my property.The biggest mistake ever ! Never again and I would never recommend this estate agency to anyone.Landlords, be very careful who do you trust to manage your properties, as people like these are dangerous! They let bad tenants in my property , without my authorisation and without my signature on tenancy agreement.As a results of total neglect and checks , my flat was filthy and covered in mould. Total unprofessional and arrogant.As a result dealing with them , i lost lots of money in renovation costs and sleepless nights. Avoid !

Negative experience: I generally do not write reviews, but I felt it was important to share my experience with Leaders Lettings to help others make informed decisions. From the outset, the experience was completely unprofessional. I had pre-booked a property viewing and travelled a considerable distance at my own expense (approximately £50 in travel costs), only to be told by the agent (Katie) that the keys she had were not working. As a result, I wasn’t able to view the property I had arranged to see. There was no prior notice, no apology, and no effort made to reschedule promptly. Out of the few properties that I have viewed later, I chose to proceed with one by Leaders. However, I was repeatedly pressured to opt into a £60-70 “No Deposit” scheme, despite politely declining multiple times. Once I made an offer on the property, I was told I’d hear back the same day — but no response came. I had to follow up for three consecutive days with no clarity or consistent communication. Only when I mentioned that I was moving forward with another property did they finally respond. When I received the draft tenancy agreement, I noticed multiple concerning clauses. Several of them were extremely tenant-unfriendly. These included: • Mandatory professional cleaning charges upon exit, regardless of the condition or whether the property was professionally cleaned at the start. • Vague “other charges” clauses, which left room for potentially unlawful deductions. • Clauses that made the tenant responsible for costs like boiler, insurance price surges(for the insurance the landlord is responsible for, not the tenant insurance), which should legally fall under the landlord’s responsibilities. • Ambiguities around deposit deductions, clearly structured in a way that could lead to unjustified financial loss for tenants. In total, there were over a dozen red flags in the agreement. Thankfully, I consulted a solicitor friend who confirmed that many of these terms were legally questionable or potentially outright non-compliant. When I brought up these concerns with the agent, her attitude shifted drastically. She initially introduced herself as “Molly” but later turned out to be someone named Lauren. I was told that if I wanted to proceed, I had to accept the agreement as-is, with no amendments, not even discussions allowed. She even attempted to persuade me to sign the agreement first and “discuss changes later,” (and not agreeing to write an email confirming it) which is a highly unethical and manipulative practice. When I asked about withdrawing without penalty if the changes weren’t made, I was told I could not get my holding deposit back, which again contradicts fair practice. What was most disturbing was the underlying attitude: “If you don’t want it, someone else will — demand is high.” This disregard for tenant rights, coupled with the unwillingness to act in good faith, made it clear that their business model hinges on exploiting people urgently looking for housing. After reading several other reviews, I realised my experience wasn’t unique, many former tenants reported unjustified deposit deductions and similar treatment in google reviews. In summary, I found Leaders Lettings to be deeply unprofessional, rude and dismissive of legal standards, and openly exploitative in their dealings. I strongly urge prospective tenants to read agreements thoroughly, seek legal advice, and approach with caution. Or better steer clear of them completely.

Negative experience: This is by far the most unprofessional agency I’ve dealt with. I left the flat in very good condition,clean and with everything in working order. Yet I received a message saying £250 will be deducted for professional cleaning. Had I known this would happen, I wouldn’t have gone to the effort of cleaning, just for them to come up with a reason to take my money. Over the phone, I was told everything was fine, but the email said otherwise. I would upload photos to show exactly how I left the flat, just to give others a clear picture of how things are handled by this agency. Very disappointing experience, especially with the manager, Joanna Betts.

Fantastic experience: Polite, professional service highly focused on getting you the price you want for your house sale. Leaders discussed the potential I would get for my property and they achieved the sale price I was looking for. Lots of viewings for my house and a buyer was found within a week of going on the market. Also during the rest of the sales process Leaders supported me all the way to completion of sale.

Negative experience: My sister in law and her partner applied to rent a property in Oxley Park through Leaders only to be told that they could only have the property if they went on the No-Deposit scheme, for which they'd have the privilege of paying an increased £70/month in rent. They requested to pay the standard deposit but were told in no uncertain terms that the landlord would only consider them if they went on the No-Deposit scheme, so they withdrew their interest. I'm sure that both Leaders and the landlord are aware that forcing the No-Deposit scheme on tenants is against the law. Avoid these law-breaking money-grabbing jobsworths at all cost.

Negative experience: I had very bad experiences with this letting agent. I lived in their property for just a year. Nothing was broken, I cleaned the whole place before moving, I was due a deposit of £951 to be paid back to me, but I received an email that they will take all the money and they said they are going to use £345 to clean the property that has already been cleaned, £115 for damages where nothing was damaged and £491 for redecorating the house. I have reported them. Very shameful

Negative experience: I don’t usually write reviews or complain, but after a failed attempt to escalate an issue, Ellie Maher, Head of Property Management, has completely ignored my email since 7th March. This seems to be a pattern with their management; radio silence and zero accountability. Landlords and tenants, I truly urge you to avoid this company. We initially rented our house with Alan Francis, and they were then bought out by Leaders. I will start by saying our landlord was lovely and very responsive We had an agreement with our landlord to terminate our contract 5 months early, this was October 2024, with the view to move out in early February 2025 - we wanted to give them as much notice as possible. This is when the issues started, we waited 3 months for a DocuSign contract. I emailed Jack Hurley multiple times to chase this, the only response I had from him was that he’d “try to find out how to resend the contract”. Wow, revolutionary, especially from the lettings manager. I also called 17 times (yes I counted) from November 14th to December 20th. I quite literally tried everything bar smoke signals and a carrier pigeon to try and contact this pathetic business. In that time we had empty promises of a call back “by the end of the day” from not only Jack, but Romy, Shannon, Jasmine and a few other people. Calling them is like shouting into the abyss, except the abyss is more helpful. On 20th December I hit the lottery and got through to Katie; someone give this woman a pay rise. I explained what was going on and within 10 minutes of ending the call she had sent the contract through, I only wish I’d got through to her in October. Or November. Or even the 19 days of December prior to that. When the time came to put the house on the market and arrange viewings, I was accommodating and told them I can work around you, they must’ve misheard me and thought I said “I will work for you… for free” because we had 4 viewings one day, the first booked for 10.45 and the estate agent didn’t turn up until 11.15, a few unanswered (shock) phone calls later, we had to show people round ourselves and were late for an appointment of our own. So not only had we lost the last shred of respect we had for them, but they’re now looking completely incompetent to potential tenants, it’s truly embarrassing. On another occasion we were told that we had a viewing, and when no one turned up I rang the office to be told it had been cancelled, fantastic communication guys, I have nothing better to do than sit and wait for you, but at least you’re consistent at being spectacularly inept. Legally, the deposit must be returned within 10 calendar days of agreeing on the amount. Leaders took 21. Am I surprised? Not in the slightest. After six months of sheer laziness, incompetence, and outright disrespect, this is just another pathetic display of their inability to do the bare minimum. Thank you to Katie, Mia, and Isabelle, you seem to be the only people who actually take pride in your work and care about customer service. A rare find in this company. To put it bluntly, if I never have to deal with Leaders again, it would still be too soon.

Fantastic experience: Moved into brownbaker court MK and this was facilitated by Leaders. Mia Anderson from Leaders dealt with our tenancy paperwork and everything was explained in great detail. We were informed about our insurance policies and no deposit schemes by the agents as well which facilitated the move. I would defo recommend having your next move being done through Leaders

Negative experience: Our initial rent was with Alan Francis, who were taken over by Leaders in mid/late 2024. In October 2024, we moved out of the property. We applied for our deposit to be returned, but heard no response. In December 2024, we chased them. Three phone calls, all of which said the person of interest would ring back (she didn't). I turned up in person to their offices, and was given reassurances that the deposit would be returned. After chasing for a further two months over emails and phone calls, we are still yet to receive the deposit. We have had to work through TDS to receive payment - this is still ongoing. I would not use Leaders again based on our treatment

Fantastic experience: I would like to send a huge, massive THANK YOU MESSAGE and compliments to Francesca, who worked in the Letting Team at Alan Francis (now Leaders)! Francesca has been truly responsive and supportive in helping out to manage the property I let through this estate agent! About 2 years ago, the property underwent a subsidence issue which involved the home insurance to send 3 specialists to conduct Geotechnical survey, Drainage Investigation, and Arboricultural survey to find the root causes. Eventually root causes found and issues being rectified with a "Repair Certificate issued by the home insurance company". The whole process was about 18 months long, from issues being reported until issues being resolved! Francesca has been so Amazing! She diligently liaised between tenants, those surveryors, builders' team and myself to have this major issue and big job completed! I couldn't even count how many phone calls and emails we exchanged in resolving this whole complicated case! I should have sent this "Thank You Message" months ago, but due to business, just managed to do so! Again, "Thank you!", Francesca! And my gratitude extend to the excellent letting team too, for those who have been so supportive and helpful, such as Jacob who many times very quickly answered my phone calls, passed on information timely and helped me with information I required. I contacted them over two weeks regarding multiple rental properties and attempted to arrange viewings. Unfortunately, despite my efforts, the staff were consistently unresponsive. Fantastic experience: I used Alan Francis (now Leaders & Elan Francis) Estate Agents for sale and a purchase property and the service Leo Delaney (together with Joe Frost & Mohsin Akhtar) provided was excellent. They were a breath of fresh air compared to the other estate agent I have experienced. Always there to answer my questions, offer advice, and get me and my family through a very stressful time. Leo took time to explain the complexities involved. The sale property was well marketed and got people interested, over 20 viewers within few weeks and 30+ viewers in total. Leo smoothed the process right through to completion as the inevitable bumps in the road popped up during the whole process to sale. The process was a bit easier for the purchase property as this was owned by a developer. However, Leo and his colleagues were extremely helpful throughout. Leo contacted me on completion day to make sure everything was concluded satisfactorily. Leo and his colleagues were very knowledgeable, very responsive, polite and pleasant from beginning to end. Negative experience: This review is for the LEADERS letting side, have been transferred to the switchboard 4 times, they never return phone calls, no reply to the email enquiries, feel sorry for a landlord trying to rent a property through these guys as they clearly don't respond even used a friend to request no response to them either. Clearly you don't with your generic response, how about actually getting back to customers who are looking for a property instead of wasting their time.

Negative experience: I have lived in rented apartments for 14 years and have never encountered such rudeness as in this agency. No help with reported problems. Additionally, after moving out I cannot get my deposit back, because the agency does not care and is not able to answer my questions, "when will I get the money?"
