While I was outside the UK, Chris helped me arrange everything so that my property could be rented out smoothly. Chris was incredibly quick and professional in finding tenants and managed to secure the price I was hoping for. The whole process was handled efficiently and with great communication.amazing work Chris . Hope Nurse has also been amazing on the management side. She made sure everything was taken care of, kept all documents up to date, and ensured I received everything necessary regarding the tenants. She really made the whole process stress-free, even after the tenants moved in. Hope was also very proactive and motivated, and whenever something needed to be done she knew exactly who to contact and how to get things moving quickly so thank you for everything hope . Negative experience: I wouldn’t recommend Thomas Connolly to anyone. Customer service becomes non existent as soon as you pay the deposit and sign the contract. Even the property managers and letting managers give you false reassurance and then when it comes to honouring what they agreed they go back on their word. So many people have put the same review. Save yourself the hassle and go with another estate agent. Asked for a callback from the lettings operations manager multiple times yet I haven’t received one, probably because he has made false promises that he can’t deliver. very unprofessional. I would give them a 0/5 stars if Google would allow it
Negative experience: Before moving in, they seem very polite and attentive. However, after you move into the property, that impression completely changes. Whenever I opened a maintenance report regarding issues in the house, the reports were closed without any proper solution or communication. During my tenancy, I experienced several problems and felt that the management was quite irresponsible. I was even threatened regarding my deposit before I had moved out. After I left the property, they attempted to make unnecessary deductions from my deposit, and I had to resolve the issue through a DPS dispute process. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this agency.

The process of selling has been so smooth, and peaceful due to their kind and caring nature. I couldn’t recommend them enough, and if we sold again, we wouldn’t use anyone else.
Fantastic experience: Cant speak highly enough about the quality of the service from Thomas Connolly. They had managed the letting of my property since they opened in 2014 and their thorough, professional vetting process always ensured I had great tenants in my house at all times. Communications from the lettings team was always exemplary. If ever there was an issue that needed sorting they would quickly give me options to rectify and were always happy if I wished to pursue my own route. At the end of 2025 my last tenant moved out and I decided to sell the property. Was a no brainer for me to use Thomas Connolly to facilitate this sale. In no time at all they had taken photos and marketed the property and within a week or so had agreed a sale. Again the sales team and back office function was exemplary in keeping me informed with the progress of the sale ensuring that the sale went through without a hitch and within the expected timescales.

Negative experience: Very disappointing experience. The team was extremely sweet and convincing before the contract was signed, but once it was done, genuine issues were ignored. I lived without a working intercom for almost two months while staying on the first floor with school-going kids, which made daily life very difficult. This was repeatedly brushed off as a “minor issue.” When I moved out, they claimed damages equal to my entire deposit. Thankfully, I had taken photos before moving in and had to go through a stressful DPS dispute that took over 2.5 months to resolve. I did get my deposit back, but at the cost of significant time, effort, and nearly £500 in additional expenses. I later learned this seems to be a common pattern with multiple tenants. Renting a family home should be based on trust and fairness, especially for overseas tenants trying to settle in. Sadly, I do not trust this agent and would not recommend them. I genuinely hope they change their way of doing business.
Negative experience: I am extremely disappointed with the service I’ve received from Thomas Colony management. For more than a month, I have been reporting a simple kitchen tap issue through both email and the FixFlo portal. Despite multiple follow-ups, the only response I consistently receive is that they are “waiting for landlord approval.” Beyond that, there has been no meaningful update, no timeline, and absolutely no sign of proactive communication or accountability. What makes this especially frustrating is that the repair itself is minor—something that should realistically take a day or two to assess and resolve. Instead, the ongoing delay has caused significant inconvenience, forcing us to wash all dishes in the bathroom sink, which is neither hygienic nor practical. Over time, this has even started to create health concerns and added unnecessary stress to daily routines. I expect better from any property management company, particularly one responsible for residents’ basic living conditions. Effective management should involve more than automated replies and vague excuses. At minimum, tenants deserve timely action, transparent communication, and a clear resolution plan when issues are reported. Overall, my experience has been very disappointing, and I sincerely hope Thomas Colony management improves their responsiveness and commitment to tenant well-being moving forward.

Negative experience: Very poor service. Behaviour by one of estate agent who was rude and unprofessional. After asking about deposit back he was forcing me to pay for cleaning company to speed up process with returning deposit-even when I said that everything was already cleaned as I spend half day doing deep cleaning plus just to remind at my contract Is that first they need to do inspection and then decide if cleaning is needed or not!. After that he was answering rude and said that „10 days is not apply anymore for my deposit back because I am not cooperating with him” avoid that company at all cost. We asked few times to do repairs they have been not bothered even to do it! Now still waiting for my deposit with no answer at all! Not recommended that company and estate agent named Sam. Very rude and unprofessional person who don’t deserve to be at place like that if you do not know how to talk with people and later saying that I do not understand what he emailed me. Sorry but if 3 people who was reading his email did not understand him maybe it’s time to come back for him to school and learn how to talk with people! Avoid at all cost! Forgot also to mention that we paid for few days extra to make our payments at first day of the month- they never changed contract and we did not got money back for those days and yes, we needed to move out at the day when month was finishing (27 or 26) so we lost money for few days what we paid for. Even when we had proof that money was paid they did not do nothing about it(emails and proof of payment) Will definitely never come back here, the worst so far agency from what we was renting flats.

I had formally disputed the charges and got the verdict now, I have been returned almost my full deposit after DPS dispute handler decision. They wasted my time. I will never recommend this agency ever. if anyone using their services , would recommend to go DPS dispute at the end of tenancy and don't let them take your hard earned money. Negative experience: Called us a few days before we were due to get our keys saying we couldn't move in on the agreed date. On the day I moved in lots of stuff left in the flat they were completely unaware of. Also oven had not been cleaned. Notified them of issues in the flat on the day we moved in, being no cold water in the bathroom and no hot water in the kitchen. No instructions as to the alarm system, oven, heating system. This was requested and haven't had anything back. Had to chase multiple times to see if we could have fibre installed, we then had to go two weeks without Internet due to no response. We have now been in the property almost two months and the only issue they have done anything with was telling me I could get Internet after chasing myself multiple times. They're just in it to make money initially not a good service at all

From the moment we signed the tenancy agreement, hoping to begin our new chapter in our first home, we were met with nothing but cold, money grabbing indifference. Sheryl Williams and her team are leeches, utterly lacking in humanity or care, focused solely on extracting every penny from us. What initially seemed a welcoming start quickly revealed itself as a near scam. Their true colours emerged with relentless blame, borderline bullying, and outright harassment, abusing their authority at every opportunity. Even upon moving out, they were quick to point baseless accusations at us, forcing us to involve the DPS for mediation just to receive some sort of fair treatment. Leaving their grasp was an immense relief, like breaking free from shackles. Spare yourself the misery and avoid these vultures entirely. Opt for a private landlord or ensure your property is not managed by the likes of this agency.

The house was in very poor condition when I moved in, with multiple issues that needed urgent repairs. Despite contacting them several times, they were completely unhelpful and did nothing to assist me in getting the problems fixed. When it came time to renew my contract, they failed to offer a proper one-year renewal and left everything uncertain and stressful. Now, after moving out, they are refusing to return my deposit without any clear explanation. I would strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with this agency. Fantastic experience: Just completed the sale of a Milton Keynes flat using Thomas Connolly MK. It was quite a protracted affair as seems to be normal these days so it was particularly important to have the services of Sales Negotiator Karl Garrett and Sales Coordinator Cassandra Butler to keep the process on track by liasing with the solicitors and directly with the buyer whenever necessary. They remained confident that the sale was on track and offered detailed explanations whenever the process appeared to have stalled. Selling property is acknowledged to be a stressful process these days and Karl and Cassie were essential in reducing that stress to a minimum while promptly chasing up any apparent delays, particularly between the legal teams that seem to need constant encouragement to deal with the various requirements expeditiously. Would recommend this team to any potential seller.

Before you sign the agreement, they are incredibly responsive and helpful, but the moment you move in, their attitude completely changes. Any issues with the property require you to chase them endlessly, and even then, there's no guarantee they'll do anything about it. For example, the gutter at my property was blocked, causing water to hit the edge of my window every time it rained—especially at night—making it impossible to sleep. I raised this issue multiple times over my entire 8-month stay, yet nothing was ever done. My property manager, Sheryl Williams, ignored my complaints, and it became clear that unless the issue was urgent in their eyes, they simply didn’t care. To make matters worse, when I moved out, they tried to find excuses to charge me from my deposit, even though the property was actually cleaner when I left than when I moved in. Fortunately, I had taken photos before leaving and compared them with the ones they sent me at the start of my tenancy, which helped me reject their unfair claims. Despite this, they still unfairly deducted money from my deposit. If you want an agency that actually maintains their properties and treats tenants fairly, look elsewhere. Once they have your signature, you’re on your own.

I'm pleased to share that we had a very smooth onboarding experience, which included the credit check and contract signing process. The property was clean and well-maintained, and we encountered no issues when moving in. Throughout our stay, whenever we faced any issues, there was a straightforward system in place for reporting them. An engineer would send us a text to schedule an appointment, making everything quite seamless. They consistently addressed any concerns we had. I would particularly like to highlight one incident that was costing us hundreds of pounds each year. We had an unnoticed water leak (the mistake was ours, we didn't notice it), resulting in a water bill exceeding a thousand pounds last year. This year, our water supplier installed a smart meter and informed us by post that there was a leak, and if left unresolved, we would be facing a bill of over £1,100 this year! I immediately reported the issue through the automated system. Our property manager, Sam A., quickly stepped in, advising me to inspect the situation. Together, we reviewed the smart meter readings, and Sam identified key moments in time, encouraging me to think carefully about what happened during those times to help pinpoint the leak's source. After several conversations with Sam, we figured out where the leak was coming from, and he arranged for an engineer to come out promptly and fix it. As a result, now we are likely to pay only a third of what we paid last year. This is just one of many positive experiences I can share about our agent. Their inspection manager, Sally M., regularly visits the property, listens to our concerns, and takes photos. Before each visit, she sends an email with a letter to arrange a convenient time for us. She is very polite and friendly, and we always look forward to welcoming her when we receive her email. We feel that these visits provide a great opportunity to report minor issues and anything else we want to discuss with our agent. Overall, I have many reasons to leave a 5-star review, and I've only mentioned a few of them here. Negative experience: As a landlord who have used them a few times, they do somewhat do the job in finding and vetting a tenant - about half of the job required - although it did take four months - but their backoffice management is somewhat lacking. I pay them for a service and therefore I am the customer, but it's a real 'computer says no' situation over there. No scheduling, no planning, no friendliness - everything seemed left until the last minute, sitting on stuff for days instead of acting on it so that everyone isn't fullfilling promises made they didn't know about. Emails just cut and paste 'computer says no' kind of thing. They expect you to 'trust them' with their money but I don't run an operation giving tenants keys without warning, keeping our money for longer than necessary, random responses....So next time, we'll try someone else.

Positive experience: Professional and Customer Concerned! The best part myself and my partner felt on renting with Thomas Connolly was the way their estate agents dealt. We had the best service from Oliwia Grunwald on sorting out our house in CMK. She went beyond and above for us in getting the apartment ready for us in a short time. If anything was broken they send someone very quickly. Very good communication. Im very happy with a service. I think if you are good tenant, you take care of the property and you paying rent they will treat you the same way back.

Fantastic experience: We finally found our dream rental house in Milton Keynes. Big thanks to Charlie the sales agent who not only understood our requirements but was quick to show possible property pipeline and to our surprise the very first property ticked most of our requirements. One area of improvement is professional cleaning should be done more thoroughly and the inventory checklist should be done in person to avoid hassles or confusion especially if one is taking property rental for first time in UK.

Negative experience: **Any tenant avoid this agency** *Absolutely disgusting* We couldn't use the shower for a month, and they didn't apologize or deduct the rent, especially after we always pay rent on a 6-month's basis. They send us a check-in inventory report with blurred images at the very beginning, then use HD photos for check out report and ask for additional cleaning fee.

Fantastic experience: Charlie was quite simply fantastic! My parents have had to move out their home for a major water leak repair, which an insurance company is dealing with. Charlie “ held our hands” throughout the process in what is a challenging rental market! Katy was also excellent with the administration. The insurance company have also complimented Charlie as a breath of fresh air!
Positive experience: (2021-05-01) First time in Milton Keynes, Harry showed me one place, loved it, fit all my needs (need not have looked any further), documents was signed a week later, moved in soon thereafter. Smooth and seamless. (2023-08-14) *Edit: while Harry was a spectacular negotiator, any services around the tenancy thereafter have been structured so that the agency have to do minimal effort and work for maximum gain. Examples: inability/unwilling to change the rental schedule (even after the initial 12 month contract); omission of break clause after written email agreement, and subsequent dismissal thereof when presented with the evidence. I have more qualms and will add them to more edits once my journey with them completely ends.

When we asked for professional cleaning No response from the Property Manager 2. During December when temperature was very low and Icy. I reported for property management on 26 December and came to property 07 January 2023 we been forced to live in this horrible state for 10days which had severe health issues.
