Fantastic experience: Caitlin and Wiktoria have been super helpful and supportive while trying to move.

Negative experience: Very poor experience with Connells. We paid an advance, and after our mortgage was declined, we requested a refund. Despite the circumstances being beyond our control, Connells have refused to return the advance. We dealt directly with a member of staff named James. Before the issue arose, communication was friendly and helpful. However, once the mortgage was declined and we asked about the refund, the behaviour noticeably changed. We were then spoken to in a dismissive and unprofessional manner. Instead of taking responsibility for a payment made directly to Connells, we are now being told to contact the developer ourselves to chase the refund. This feels like an attempt to pass the problem on rather than resolve it properly. Overall, the service was disappointing, stressful, and poorly handled. I would strongly advise others to be extremely cautious before paying any upfront fees and to ensure refund terms are clearly documented in writing.

Fantastic experience: I recently sold my property for a great price and I have to thank Naresh and his amazing team for their hard work and professionalism. Given that I had initially dealt with another estate agent who tried to bully me into accepting a lower offer, I appreciated Naresh’s knowledge, insight and realist view of what was achievable. There was no hard sell or BS! Communication of viewings, feedback from viewers and offers were sent to me promptly and in writing. Special thanks to Zain and James who kept me informed even when I was thousands of miles away in a different time zone! I can’t vouch for Connells in general but i highly recommend the Central Milton Keynes (Silbury Blv) crew.

Negative experience: I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Connells Estate Agents in Milton Keynes. I have been waiting for a refund of my deposit for over three months, and despite repeatedly following up, I have received no proper response from anyone at the branch. Every time I call, I am told that someone will “call me back by the evening,” but nobody ever calls back. This has happened repeatedly, and it shows a serious lack of professionalism and customer care. The agent who handled my case, James, has not returned my calls or provided any updates, which has made the entire process very frustrating and stressful. Based on my experience, I would never recommend Connells Estate Agents. The lack of communication and the unacceptable delay in returning my deposit have been incredibly disappointing. I hope the management addresses these issues urgently.

Positive experience: Decent enough managed to find me a buyer for my property. But a few things to be aware of before you go ahead and instruct them. - I did my research beforehand on flat sales around the MK central region and Connells valuation appeared quite far fetched (approximately 10-15% higher) in comparison to other valuations I’d received from other estate agents. I did question this at the time saying that seemed very ambitious, but was told they’d valued others in my block and they’re well versed on the valuation of my type of property, so proceeded since their commission fee % was slightly lower than other agents later realising this was perhaps a tactic to get me to instruct them. Perhaps naivety on my part, but they’d locked me into a fixed rate fee at that valuation (which I’d realised at completion) and when listed I had no interest whatsoever at that initial price, this prompted me to get them to reduce the sale price to get ‘people through the door’ for viewings. Ended up selling at about 10% less than the initial valuation price and paid the fixed rate fee based on the initial inflated valuation. Perhaps I should have pushed back more at their initial valuation which on reflection was probably a means to get me through the door and sign. - They recommended me their solicitors Conveyancing Direct. I had received a quote from another conveyancer that came in a bit cheaper, but since my buyer had also opted to go with Connells recommendation (same firm) I thought it was worthwhile paying the extra since Connells would have a rapport with them and communication would be better and the process more seamless. Anyway that wasn’t the case the whole process was a living nightmare, there was terrible engagement between Connells and Conveyancing Direct and I’d often have Connells phoning me up for updates when they were conveyancers they’d recommended. For the sake of your sanity if you hear the recommendation Conveyancing Direct come from any Estate Agents mouth or see a contract for instruction with their name on RUN AND DONT LOOK BACK!!! Anyway I paid a premium to those Conveyancers for awful service. Connells should reflect on whether they should recommend conveyancing that is high cost and low quality to their clients, which in itself is also a reflection on them. Having said that they did manage to get my chain free leasehold sale over the line after a painful 9 months, but bear in mind some of the things I’ve raised above to save yourself some headache and some pounds.

Negative experience: Complete useless estate agents in the UK. Avoid at all cost don’t be fooled by their RED fancy lettering (Connells Group) we only chose these guys as they seem to know what they are doing being the Big Boys on the market lol. They will act quickly getting you all set up and on the market but after communication is the worst. No call backs or email responses just rudeness from all. Estate agents will bully you to sell for less than you anticipated and when you push back they respond with “that the most buyers are willing to pay”. I thought you were on our side as we are the ones paying over £3k in sellers fees!! At times they will lie and bully you to go down the auction route just to get a sale on their books and end up selling for less than the market value. They don’t care about the seller or how much sentimental value our home means to us. They don’t do their due diligence when a buyers pops us but rather waste everyone’s times and when a sale falls through they just wash their hands and don’t even apologise. Best go for a smaller estate agent who cares about your sale and can provide quality over quantity.

Negative experience: Dishonest agents. Sad tenant's reports don't get a hearing. Whether we report them to lazy institutions to hold you accountable or tenants are not respected. I rented an apartment from these people last year. There were damages already in the house of which i reported. When i moved out, i was charged for the damages they refused to fix. I reported the issue with images but they kept throwing the issue here and there. Very dishonest people there.

And when i asked for the info on service charges for a flat i wanted to view, didnt even have that info to give. Completely useless

Negative experience: Worst estate agents going, bombard to get you on the market then once your on the market you can’t get hold of anyone. They don’t care to sell your property at all which makes no sense as I’m not sure how they will ever make money. Bad communication and terrible customer service to the point that we won’t even entertain a new house if they are on with Connells. Don’t waste your time, go with any other agent.

And gave a much better, valuation than another two estate agents, that undervalued the property by £50,000, James put a higher value on property & it sold for the full asking price, as it rightly should have done as is worth every penny, even had several offers, bartering in end. Fantastic experience: An excellent service provided by Connells on the sale of our house. We started our journey with other agent that simply didn't perform and we are so glad we switched. Big thank you to Georgia Williams who took the time to discuss and find out all the information on our property and the best selling points, so when she showed people around she was able to provide accurate and detailed information ( unlike our first agent who simply turned up and winged it). We always got proper feed back following viewings and we sold within a few weeks of being with Connells. The quality service continued until final completion with regular updates on how things were going and speedy responses to any of our queries. Moving house is said to be one of the most stressful time of your life, but its certainly made easier with a great agent. Can't thank Georgia enough for such a great service and we wish her well for the future.

Negative experience: Total waste of time and money. Worst estate agent you can think of. If there was a negative rating I would give them -5 because they wasted two years in the name of sale and no sale at all. They misled us with promises of quick sales and a big pool of buyers. They black mail us to reduce the price which was their own valuation, only because we were tied up with their unfair contract. The buyer's solicitor was slow and whenever I called the office I was told "Mr. Incharge is busy and will call you back" but no call back, I call next next and same story. I was calling for two continuous weeks and still no call back. They had no contact or update with the buyer whatsoever. If you are selling, make sure to get everything in writing from them and if you notice they are not able to update, consider your options and don't end up wasting two years like we did.

Negative experience: Horrible company to deal with. They only care about getting you in the place and seem like the nicest bunch. Then once you are in, they treat you like the enemy. Everything is your fault, nothing can be fixed all of a sudden. Worst if you get a bad landlord who just wants to collect your money and do nothing.

Negative experience: Good luck getting your deposit back. Was told I would get my deposit back about 2 months ago. Despite chasing the branch up every week still nothing. Branch says head office need to send it head office say the branch need to authorise it and they refuse to talk to each other. Wiktoria has stood out with what has to be the worst customer service I've ever experienced. She promises the money will be sent "soon" and she's chasing the accounts team when in reality the accounts team confirmed she doesn't even really to her emails. Apparently she hadn't replied to the authorisation email they need to process for 3 weeks. Joke of a branch. I'll attach a pic of the email from Wiktoria weeks ago saying I would have the money that day, still nothing.

Fantastic experience: We moved with connells middle of September, upon small hickups (not on connells part) it was a lovely and easy move. I had Wicktroia, Chido and there was another lady (so sorry I've forgotten her name, but she's the one who printed my documents and gave me the keys) who were just the nicest people. Answered all my questions and queries, helped my gurantours when needed, kept me up to date on how it was going and the house viewings etc were just like looking at a house with a friend, super friendly, knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable in the stress that is moving. These 3 ladies need recognition.

Negative experience: Recently arranged a viewing of a property, everything was confirmed time and date all agreed. After driving for an hour I arrived for the viewing on time with no member of staff there to meet me. Various calls to the office to see if someone was attending went unanswered, a complete waste of my time. An e-mail I sent to stress my displeasure of the service I had received also went unanswered. He has been brilliant, doing more than his share, helping me out when the conveyancers or other parties were slow to respond or take action, and explaining everything relating to the mortgage very clearly.

Negative experience: To tell an elderly woman that you're not interested in helping to sell her flat unless she sells to an investor, nearly 25-30k below the market value is disgusting.. Just because you wanna make a quick buck instead of waiting as apparently it takes too long

They kept us updated at every stage and although it took longer than planned, they were helpful in fire fighting all issues and getting us across the line. They were both very friendly and eager to get us in, they gave us a lovely ‘welcome to your new home’ package! Overall a lovely and friendly experience and would definitely use Connell’s rentals again.

Negative experience: They don’t even deserve the 1 star. We have rented the same property through connells for 10 years. Their service from start to finish is shocking. Thankfully we had a brilliant landlady who always made sure things were sorted. The staff don’t answer phones and never reply to messages. You report issues and they don’t do anything about it. They leave you without heat and water and lockable doors. They treat tenant's like they are bottoms of the pile. It has taken over two months to get our deposit back and we had to threaten legal action. If you are thinking of renting avoid these agents. The right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing.

Fantastic experience: Samantha and Connell's letting could not have been more helpful in finding us the right tenants for our house. Communication was fantastic, and she gave proper consideration about getting the right people, which we appreciated. I recommend them to any landlord looking for that extra can-do attitude from their letting agent.

Negative experience: When ever i call to view the property its always fully booked. Even though property listed in an hour, fully booked. 1 time I viewed share ownership property which is for the first time buyer and who can't afford full property. I offered full asking price but they sold it to some one on cash. My question is if someone can afford to pay full 72k cash. Which is un fair. Last time property on sale but when i phoned to book viewings, they said it will be available in few month time. So, my question is, why you put on sale then if its not available. Every time they take your number for call back but never call back. I think they are just scam..

Fantastic experience: We were purchasing a property that Connells had on the market. With an expiring mortgage offer setting the deadline we really had a tight timeframe to work with. Demi pulled out all the stops to make it happen in time and we couldn't be more grateful.

Negative experience: Terrible customer service, lackadaisical and unbothered. A few of the ladies at this branch (Claire, Chloe and I've forgotten the other name(s)) are pretty rude on the phone, then switch their demeanor when in person. They don't pass messages on to other staff, so you have to explain everything repeatedly. One of them is a very pushy sales representative, who takes personal offence when you decline her services. This just makes for flawed system when it comes to booking viewings, putting down offers. Wouldn't buy/sell with them if you paid me, unfortunately cannot rate less than 1 star.

Negative experience: One of the worst estate agents, very non professional. Tried calling for the property to view 3 times but they are least interested. Confirmed viewing but didnt send any confirmation and if you call they are rude. They don't have any vital information of the property and are not bothered to help you with it. Very poor service
