Negative experience: My experience with Richard Greener Rental Agency during the check-out process for the property at NN2 was extremely poor due to unfair and non-compliant deposit deductions. The agency attempted to charge for items that fall under 'fair wear and tear,' that were deteriorated after two years of normal use. This deduction violates the principle of allowing for depreciation. Furthermore, they proposed highly inflated costs for minor items (e.g., £50 for a sink plug and £60 for a radiator valve, items costing less than £10 on the market), and a £210 cleaning fee without initially providing the necessary corresponding check-out report or invoice. I had to challenge every single deduction with evidence and reference to the Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS) guidelines on fair wear and tear. After that they reduced some of the items. Prospective tenants should be cautious and ensure they have a detailed check-in inventory as this agency appears willing to pursue deductions aggressively and unfairly. Be prepared to take your dispute to the TDS. I would not recommend their services."

Negative experience: Awful experience - property was falling apart structurally and the only advice from these people was to speak to the flat upstairs?! To this day, I still don't know what I was supposed to say to them, nor the expected benefit of doing so! Issues never got resolved promptly, comms were incredibly slow and overall disappointing. Glad we moved and glad we deal with a different agent. Would never again use Greener Rentals

Being a family owned company we felt they really cared for what we were going through, even the owner Maria calling us whilst they were on holiday keeping us up to date and showing they really were there for us. The set up is brilliant with Matthew selling the house and then Jane guiding and chasing the buyers solicitor and along with everyone else it really works. Negative experience: AVOID, AVOID, AVOID this estate agency. They lied to me many times, lied about the sale date (as it turned out instead of 3 months it took 7 months) The estate agent personally assured me that the seller was a professional, to confirm to the solicitor that everything was ok and they would remove the furniture as soon as possible LIED (costing £500) a few months after the transaction they called me and my friends to get my documents, passport photos etc because THEY LOST MY DOCUMENTS. Etc. There were lots of problems... they only care about the seller and their commission. The buyer is not treated well!!! Estate agency in Northampton (NN3) AVOID, AVOID, AVOID I can prove everything I have written, I have emails, text messages etc.

The process of moving in was very smooth, with no pressure. As a young professional, they provided me with help and advice on how to manage my bills, which I appreciated. The treatment I have received during my stay so far has been excellent. Customer service: 10/10. Shoutout to Ryan— I lost my house keys during my Christmas holidays, and he made sure I had a key before I arrived from the airport, saving me from having to wait for a locksmith outside my house on a cold winter night. If that’s not excellent customer care, I don’t know what is!

Negative experience: It feels like a discrimination : I hardly wrote reviews even I had bad experience. But this time I’m very much stressed because of this agency as they are giving me hard time after my two year of tenancy with them. I repainted and cleaned as per inventory standards (February 2024) and they ask me to pay more than my tenancy deposit. They said they need to clean it again for £200 and other unjustified bills to get my full deposit money. They didn’t provide us any service during our tenancy ( no bathroom extractor fan, not repainted after wall leakage problem etc, they only provide me one dehumidifier and I have to repaint it (1 year ago) because my child was sick due to the mould caused by the wet wall). The apartment property is currently let agreed (within few days) because we maintained, repainted, cleaned it very well. And still agency is holding our money ?

Negative experience: See below a list of bad experiences I made during my tenancy. The agency did not respond to any questions sent in via email during the whole term of tenancy. The washing machine was not working when I moved in and I had to organize the repair on my own after multiple weeks. When calling the agency I was always told the landlord didn't come back to the agency yet. I was given the wrong electricity meter number and the mistake was only spotted by me when one other tenant was on holiday and my consumption didn't go up at all. I was called during my tenancy that I wouldn't have paid the rent. After one week of no answer to email or phone I was finally told that it was a mistake and that my neighbor would not have paid. This is certainly not professional and I assume not legal since this is a significant privacy breach. Finally, on moving out the agency put me under pressure to accept deductions from my deposit for damage I am not responsible for. I was sent an unkind email that I should please just accept it without informing myself about my tenancy rights. Be careful when renting with Greener Rentals.
