Fantastic experience: When we decided to put our house on the market we really were not sure who to sign on with. However we managed to select 4 local agents to speak with, one of whom was Mark at Bradford and Howley. From the moment I made contact with him, he was kind, understanding and reassuring - most unlike estate agents we have had dealings with in the past! Mark visited our house, went through the marketing process and offered us the reassurance and guidance we were looking for. There were never any hint of any aggressive selling techniques, simply a friendly and thorough approach as to how Bradford and Howley were going to market our property. I particularly like the fact that Bradford and Howley were members of the Guild of Property Professionals, the only estate agents in St. Albans allowed this privilege and the additional benefits and reassurances this title comes with. Once we gave the go ahead for Bradford and Howley to sell our property, within 1 week the photographer had been round, viewings were in place and a solicitor secured. And true to their word, within 5 days of putting our house on the market, we had our first offer on the table, ending up with the luxury of 4 offers from the first 7 viewings! Mark was also extremely pro-active in helping us with the properties we were looking to purchase. Once we had narrowed our options down, he did a search on the properties we were considering to find out their selling history in order to give us a good idea of their current value and what to offer on our chosen property. From signing on the dotted line to accepting an offer on our house, the whole process had taken just 3 weeks so thank you to Mark, Kerry and the team who have got us so far so quickly. You feel like you are our friends who we can come to for help and advice - certainly not the traditional estate agent image! After the sale was agreed Mandy Atkins was involved in helping to push matters along and liaise with the other parties and their solicitors and she was also excellent. I never felt that anything was too much trouble and it was great to have such good support from the start to the finish. I definitely recommend them.

Negative experience: We arranged a viewing but upon arrival the owner told us it was already sold. The agent Kev could not be contacted. An associate of his rang, simply saying that the viewing had already been cancelled. He didn’t apologise. We went to considerable effort to get to the viewing. There was no record of any cancellation email or voicemail or missed call

Negative experience: We regret using B&H to sell our house and would not use them again. They get two stars only because they are efficient and effective at the sales side but their sales progression was terrible. They made the whole process difficult and stressful and dealing with them was a horrible experience we would not want to repeat they followed this up and knew exactly who we were, still wouldnt trust them to either buy or sell a house ever again
