Negative experience: Check For Restricted Covenants Before Paying Reservation Fee We were notified about restrictive Covenants attached to the land after going through Conveyancing Process and ended paying both reservation and conveyancing fee, even though covenants were clearly mentioned in Sellers legal Title. The matter is now being dealt with by The Property Ombudsman.

Negative experience: DO NOT BUY A HOUSE FROM ANDREW GRANT!! They take deposits to accept your offer and then you are basically held to ransom by your seller and you are forced to go along with the seller otherwise you won’t get your money back if you back out even though there t&c’s say it would be, they will not give you your money back!! I would go to seller directly and avoid andrew grant estate agents at all costs!!

Positive experience: I found Andrew Grant to be helpful & curtious throughout my journey buying a new home which took near on 6 months. My only real “ niggle” was it was difficult to speak to the sales rep as on most if not all occasions she was never available and I never received feedback emails after I raised certain questions which in the end my solicitor dealt with. The MD of the company who I spoke with at the very onset was professional if not a little “forthwith” when it came to negotiating the selling price of the property based on I assume there commission from my vendor. Another strange thing is the “fee” they place at the onset albeit refundable at the exchange of contracts which .5% of the agreed selling price which means you need funds behind you in the first instance, not in my opinion best practice nowadays with the housing market so turbulent adding further strain to the buyer. Generally AG are a good estate agent but need to tighten there back office and have available sales reps when you ring or it becomes so frustrating when you need answers to questions raised in a prompt manner. Overall my experience was of a positive outcome and AG are far better than the smaller estate agents.

They have a new app where you can track every part of the transaction. Sale brochure and pictures were very professional. Communication was good. The admin team were very proactive in chasing the buyers and chain throughout which you certainly wouldn't get with "online agents". Not 5 star as there were a couple of things that could have been better (not reading instructions correctly on 1 occasion / no response to1 email regarding commission) - otherwise it would have been a 5. Would highly recommend their services to anyone.

Fantastic experience: We recently bought a property that Andrew Grant were selling and have to say that they were the most helpful professional company to deal with. Our own agent was worse than useless however Louise Jones, the senior customer liaison agent, was a star…she was able to sort the many issues that were occurring below us in the chain and more than cover our own agents failing and non communication. She was in touch daily as the sale progressed keeping us updated and helping to make sure the sale went forward when, thanks to our own agent’s incompetence, there was a real risk of the chain collapsing. If we ever move again we will have no hesitation in using Andrew Grant and would highly urge anyone wanting to sell a house in the areas they cover to do the same.
