Fantastic experience: Great bunch

Negative experience: Terrible for first time renters. Don't explain a single thing to you unless you specifically ask ("what does *word you have never heard in your life* mean?"). How am I supposed to ask if I dont know the question?

Fantastic experience: I used this agency after moving from abroad and they were really easy and smooth to work with. We viewed the house and on the same day put a holding deposit and the rest of the process was easy and quick. When I gave my one month notice, they were really understanding and they allowed me to drop the keys on a bank holidays. If I ever move back to the West Midlands I would use them again

Negative experience: We had a very frustrating experience with Hunters Agency during our checkout process. At the initial inspection, they told us the house was “well-maintained and spotless.” We were assured in writing that everything was fine and our deposit would be released soon. However, the very next day, they began raising minor issues one by one starting with a claim that the bins weren’t emptied (which we had done), followed by an alleged wall break reported by the landlord (with no proof or photos provided despite our request). Eventually, they claimed the kitchen was “greasy and dusty,” which was simply not true we had left the house in excellent condition. It felt like they were trying to find any excuse to deduct money from our deposit. Sadly, we’ve since heard similar stories from other tenants about this kind of behavior. It’s disappointing to see agencies taking advantage of tenants like this, possibly without landlords even being aware. Would not recommend based on our experience

Fantastic experience: Good evening, I had a viewing with lea from the Redditch branch the other day, he made my husband and I feel very at ease. He was kind, welcoming and very knowledgeable about the property. After having viewing with other estate agents in comparison to them he was by far the best at his job. I do hope we can find a home with your company because I have every faith that we will get a really good service from Hunters Estate agents. Fantastic experience: I have been using Hunters for approximately 15 years to manage my rented property and I could not recommend them enough. Susannah and Tom and various other staff that have been there over the years have always been helpful, kind and always get straight back to me with any query. If there’s been a problem with anything in the property that’s needed a contract person they’ve always offered reputable companies and any jobs, big or small, have always gone smoothly. They have well and truly managed my property with complete stress free competence. Thank you so much!

Negative experience: They cutted 300 pound from deposit They said that house not clean and there are materials on the kitchen Materials were in the kitchen before us Our tenants were finished 7th March 15th March they said that flat is not clean and storage is full How can be sure someone didn’t put into flat Clearly being theft

Negative experience: Rented through them for 3 years, started off okay but then when I had issues it took ages to get anything sorted, had to chase them about responses on numerous occasions. Lack of communication upon leaving the property. I will not miss having to deal with them!

Positive experience: Would recommend Hunters. I had Susanna and different agents round for a valuation and hands down, Susanna was my favourite. Very efficient and good with communication. Hunters had done their research and pricing is transparent so no hard sell. Would recommend

Fantastic experience: I have been a landlord since 2007 and have used the services of Hunters (previously Hadley) since 2007. They have always been totally professional and have been responsive to any queries from various tenants or myself over the years. I've had contact with many different members of staff and without exception they have been courteous, friendly and helpful. On the few occasions that I visited the offices I was greeted almost as a friend, not just another customer, and this attitude made for a very relaxed working relationship. Over the past 14 years there have been hardly any occasions when a problem wasn't sorted immediately, and on the very few times that a slight delay occurred I was always assured that it would be corrected as soon as possible. I have no hesitation in recommending this company and the "icing on the cake" was that I think I received good quality business knowledge for very reasonable fees. My thanks to everyone that I've dealt with and I hope you all have a very happy Christmas and a healthy New Year.

Olivia was very responsive to all of my questions and I felt she was very good at communicating between myself ... the vendors and the solicitors. Nothing was too much trouble it seemed and that made the whole home buying process so much easier for me . Would highly recommend hunters estate agents

Negative experience: Dealings with Susanna & Tom Myself and my partner found what we thought to be our dream property however Hunters made every possible attempt to make our lives absolute hell. We went to view the property which we immediately said we wanted, it was 2 months later after a terrible ordeal with referencing due to the incompetency of Hunters that we finally got the keys. We had the whole house professionally painted straight away, I am pregnant so we were very eager to try and settle as quickly as possible and as the rooms were bright blue and yellow, it was a must to have the painting done to make it a nicer house to live in. Whilst having this done the decorator pointed out that there was a major wasp issue, I was made aware of DEAD “bees” when viewing the property however was reassured that it wasn’t a problem and they just needed vacuuming up. It was since getting the keys we realised just how severe the problem was and that Hunters had lied to us again, there were swarms of wasps in both chimneys and it was incredibly dangerous, the house was totally uninhabitable. I notified Hunter’s that we’d need Pest Control and a chimney sweep however I was totally ignored. It got to the point where our SECOND lot of rent was due and we still hadn’t been able to move in due to the wasps and Hunters had done absolutely nothing to help us. We were and still are to this day absolutely disgusted with the way we’ve been treated. The whole team at Hunters are totally incompetent and I have on record proof that we’ve been lied to on numerous occasions. We chose to hand the keys back due to the stress it was causing us, we had received legal advice and they pointed out straight away numerous inaccuracies within our contract that meant we were able to end the tenancy with immediate effect. We have lost a considerable amount of money and endured months of wasted time and stress. We have been totally disregarded by Hunters, they have been so unwilling to cooperate with us to try and solve any issue that it has led me to such a negative review. I would never ever recommend Hunters and hope that no one else has to experience what we did.

Fantastic experience: Susanna and all the friendly team at Hunters handled the sale of our property with such ease and profesionalism that we had none of the usual stresses of selling a house. They quietly nudged us when necessary from pre-sale through to completion keeping any hassles to themselves and making the whole process very easy for us. Highly recommended, and a great advert for high street estate agents rather than faceless and impersonal internet agents.

Fantastic experience: My partner and I have been on the rental market for a number of years due to the demands of our employment to relocate and between 2020 and 2031, rented a property through Hunters Estate Agency. From the outset, Hunters could not have done more for us as tenants. We made our initial enquiry, communicating with Tom. Tom was professional and knowledgeable from the outset, seeming to be on the side of us, the tenants. I say this, as on plenty of occasions in our renting history, we would tell when an agency were too far on the side of the landlord and wouldn't make adjustments or negotiations to suit tenants. It was due to the overall personability of Tom which made our decision to choice the property they had to rent. On our entry to the property post tenancy agreement signing, Hunters ensured the property was immaculately clean and provided a comprehensive inventory with accompanying photographs. Hunters then allowed us a short period to review the inventory and when we wished to amend anything or enter an addition, Hunters, (Tom), were immediately responsive with a polite manner. This continued throughout the renting period. Any questions or queries we had about the property were communicated with Hunters and they responded promptly, always in a polite manner. On exit of the property, Hunters were again polite and professional in their approach. We dealt with Lee and Richard through the exit process and they were just as professional and knowledgeable as Tom, our initial agent. The dreaded exit was made so easy and simple by the Hunters team, who were excellant in thier communication and very understanding and responsible with their inspection of the property and use of 'fair wear and tear'. For anyone looking to rent through Hunters, I couldn't recommend them any higher, and would take it further by saying if any landlord was looking to rent their property, Hunters should be without a doubt the only option. Thank you guys.

Fantastic experience: In spite of the difficulties selling a property with a very short lease and during two lockdowns, Susanna and the team did a good job and got us through it all admirably.

Positive experience: We have had a protracted move due to the pandemic and difficulties in our chain. But I can not speak highly enough of Susanna, she has been on top of everything and kept me in the loop throughout the entire process. She has always managed my expectations and been open, honest and helpful throughout. The selling process was hassle free, lots of viewings and offers were delivered quickly, always with a realistic view. In terms of the exchange, this would have been so much more stressful without the Hunters team keeping us calm and acting professionally.

Fantastic experience: Excellent engagement, support and advice from Tom Cleaveley on first contacting the branch, particularly where some other companies have failed to respond or provided minimal support in lettings. Professional and friendly service with a clear explanation of the latest legislation and the branch processes. One of few agents I’ve contacted who is prepared to check if prospective landlords accept pets.

Fantastic experience: This is my second time renting through this agent and they have gone above and beyond. The staff are always respectful, polite and fair. They take time to understand their tenants needs and are always on hand to help if needed. I would not hesitate to rent through them again, and if i were to buy or even let out a property myself they would be my first choice to contact.

Negative experience: Poor customer service. Agents take too long to reply to calls or emails which subsequently led to me and my partner losing our application to a property. *This next section is in response to Susanna's response as I can't directly respond on here* I replied to Tom's email the day after he emailed me and I didn't hear back from him. I also did have a viewing which was on Saturday 29th June with my partner, so your records are clearly wrong.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience of renting a property, always had great communication with us and kept us informed of any difficulties during a complicated move in. Dan was great at keeping in touch even out of office hours and really worked hard to make sure everything was just right for us. We had all the move in paperwork and keys handled with ease and any little niggles you find when moving in were handled professionally. I would definitely recommend Hunters Redditch :)

Negative experience: To say we are dissapointed is an understatement, I would not give them 1 star ifI had the option. We contacted the redditch branch within 1 hour of a rental property added onto right move ( Saturday 27th April 19 ) to request a possible viewing. We received no call back. Two days later we made another call (Monday 29th April 19) to be told the earliest opportunity we could view the property would be Thursday 2nd may so we provided them with numerous times and date we would be available. Again no reply from hunters On Wednesday1st April we made another call to the branch requesting an update to be told viewings had already taken place several days ago and an application has since been accepted. Clearly this property had been reserved for someone they knew. Customer service is appaling and incompetent staff. Potential tenants and landlords be aware.

Fantastic experience: Hunters have been very efficient in renting out my property, Richard came to my house & explained everything - it was a bit slow at first but we kept the faith & it all worked out positively. Tom was an absolute star so very helpful, kind & professional, he is an asset to the company, nothing has been too much trouble for him.

Negative experience: Cannot express how disappointed I am with hunters, had an issue and keep getting told I will get called back, then never do, keep getting told they will have answers for me by the of of the day had that one 3 times!, raised the issue to a manager and they instantly did the same, still no answers, shocking service, rating them 1 star is too much!!! If you want to rent don't rent with these guys!!!! You will receive this incompetence every time!!!

Fantastic experience: It was a bit daunting the idea of selling our first house, but the staff of Hunter’s made the process really easily. This was from giving us an honest valuation, to taking the photos, organizing the viewing, and then negotiating with the buyers once the offers starting rolling in. They were always there with their advice and guidance but never put any pressure on us to make a decision we were uncomfortable with. Once we accepted an offer, they took care of all the work to progress the sale keeping us informed along the way. Thank you all very much.
