Negative experience: Honestly I never leave reviews, but feel it's my duty to inform people that Hunters Liverpool are really bad at managing tenancies. There are many stories I can tell you about my time renting with them, but for now I'll only focus on their poor communication skills. The most recent example is that I received an email today about an issue in the apartment while I moved out in January 2021 (nearly 4 years ago!). During our tenancy we (me and my 3 housemates) unsuccessfully tried to get the agency to do something as simple as CC'ing all of the tenants in important emails, as we had very different schedules. Then, on multiple occasions, it happened to my old housemates and myself that we received emails about important things in the apartment (like in the screenshot) after we'd moved out. The only reason I'm writing this review is because an estate agent should be capable of sending emails to its tenants. That's one of their most important jobs: to keep their records up to date and communicate with the right people. If this had happened once or twice I wouldn't be writing this review, but I stopped counting and it's now a running joke between me and my old housemates: Oh, typically Hunters!

Fantastic experience: We recently went through a tenancy process with Hunter to find a new rental property. The entire team, especially Chloe, was outstanding. Chloe guided us through every step with patience, excellent communication, and support whenever we needed it. We couldn’t be happier and are looking forward to the next 12 months!

Negative experience: Honestly, not sure where they got all these 5 stars from as they seem really fishy. Just have a look at the lower star reviews and make your decision from there if you decide to rent with them. From the start of my communication with them, I would call to require about the tenancy and deposit etc and I would receive extremely rude customer service, have the phone put down on me two times (especially after I have told them I was calling internationally and this was costly, and being told I would get a call back and this would never happen. However, because I was in an urgent and tricky situation, I remained adamant to secure my tenancy as to not conflict with my studies. However, I should have known the lack of helpfulness and communication would be pervasive throughout my tenancy. I’ve been here almost three months and I can not wait to move out. Since the start of my tenancy, I have complained about silverfish and bugs in my toilet. I have sent almost 5 emails, called over 4 times, and visited the agency in person once and I still have not had any issue sorted. They continuously ask for pictures of these insects and you have to continuously stay on them to receive some help. After a contractor finally came and saw me, I thought he would resolve this issue for me. However, he simply came and left ants baits (when I had clearly said that I have flies and silverfish) and never checked up ever again. Additionally, we have previously had our codes changed for the doors that allow us to enter the building and haven’t even received an email on it, leaving me to be unable to ENTER my own house and have to wait for other tenants to ask them for help or if they knew what was going on (they didn’t either) Anyways, if you want to live in a place where none of the landlord/agency obligations are going to be carried and you have to constantly be frustrated, uncomfortable in your own house then hunters agency is the place to be.

We had a great deal of sensetive issues to navigate through and Josh made them a breeze. Negative experience: I called the office to let them know I struggled for a whole HOUR to get my 2 year old out of his room due to the door handle breaking (this issue was previously reported and awaiting response from landlord). Chloe was extremely RUDE to me on the phone and said she’d call my landlord but doesn’t know how long it’d take for this issue to be resolved , when I asked her to confirm that they’d try and do something on the same day, she told me twice to “ tell your 2 year old not to close the door again!” I couldn’t believe the level of immaturity and insensitivity she displayed and let her know that, she then said “I’m not talking to you” and HANGED UP on me. I’ve never been so disrespected in my life for looking out for my son’s safety and hope to never be in contact with her again.
