City Residential were able to source a local solicitor who set the wheels in motion in the ensuing eviction notice process. Negative experience: It’s funny how you have no record, but decided to reach out via email. The agency was incompetent on many occasions when I stayed at a property. Filthy property I had to spend hours cleaning, ideally would have needed deep clean by professional but I didn’t want to waste money on this. When I contacted the office basically told me and this is me summarising said it was my issue(as you viewed the property) well now I know how slimey agency can be, I remember to check the fridge on all properties now-even though on viewing they said they will do a deep clean.Not to mention the fridge that was so mouldy as when defrosting didn’t not only clean it but left the doors closed looked like shrek’s swamp was growing in it. After cleaning I had gotten significantly sick from it. Furthermore the amount of times the boiler had broke I appreciate this wasn’t your issue that it had broke multiple times but lack of communication and addressing issue meant without hot water on multiple occasions especially in the winter was horrendous. I then left the property in better condition then when receiving it. You had reached out 3 different emails after I had left, why I didn’t respond well I was sick of your agency wasting time and my money when I never missed a payment. So yes it’s a 1 star review. Before you go delete all your emails, I’ve screenshotted them and saved. If you want me to attach images of the mouldy fridge, I’ll be happy to do so. Anyways have a nice life and hope these fake 5 star reviews support your business well. Have a great Christmas and new year !

Negative experience: Absolutely useless company complete amateurs. They visited one of my properties after I requested a valuation and gave all the usual polite talk: "We're looking forward to seeing the property," "Thanks for having us," and so on. Then… nothing. No follow-up, no valuation, not even a basic thank-you email — just radio silence for over two weeks. In that same time, I had two other agents view the property and provide professional, market based valuations within 24 hours. This company is clearly not serious or capable of operating at a professional standard. A complete waste of time.

Their Agent, Mr Finlay Austin, showed me the flat. although I had booked for one viewing, Finlay showed me around another property as well in the same building to ensure I make the best decision. Fantastic experience: Their customer care is excellent, and they truly go above and beyond to support their tenants. A special mention goes to the Head of Property Management, Shola Meadows, who has been incredibly professional and proactive. Despite an issue that should have been resolved by the building developer (Romal Capital, who seemed keen to ignore the problem), Shola took the time to investigate what could be done within her capacity. Her willingness to step in and help, even when it wasn’t technically their responsibility, speaks volumes about their commitment to tenant satisfaction.

Positive experience: Finlay was informative, polite and knowledgable during our property viewing. He took the time to listen to our specifications and answered any questions we had. This is the complete opposite to the first agent who showed us around the first property we went to view, she knew nothing about the property and couldn’t answer any of our questions hence why I can’t give the full 5 stars. If it was just a review of Finlay rather than city residential as a whole then it would be 5 stars.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service from the City Residential Lettings team. We were looking for refurbishment work to be carried out with a view to re-renting our apartment as soon as possible. Stephen and his team promptly specified and arranged for refurbishment to a high standard and rented the apartment within a week at on excellent market rate. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

Negative experience: Typical behaviour for an estate agent. Reported repairs at the start of my tenancy, they were never fixed and then they tried to take it out my deposit at the end. Would say avoid but all of these companies are as bad as each other.

Negative experience: Avoid! This is by far the worst lettings agency I’ve ever rented with. When we viewed our flat they told us we can get parking permits, which was a lie, both me and my partner had to pay £120 each per month! The minute we moved in the walls started to get damp and there was a major leak, they ignored our emails and did the bare minimum to stop this. It wasn’t until the offices below our flat came knocking at our door early hours of the morning claiming the water was running down their ceilings that city residential started to act. This went on for months on end, the contractors they sent had the attention span of a frying pan, one of them claimed he couldn’t open our door ( he didn’t know he had to turn the key twice to open it). Our clothes and walls were covered in mould, our flat stunk of damp and we were not once compensated for it. It was only when I threatened to report them to the council that they issued the eviction notice, seems like they will do anything other than to repair.

Very knowledgeable and honest with their approach. Communication was excellent and has continued since I have rented out my property through City Residential. Fantastic experience: I would like to share with any landlord who is looking for a lettings company, to look no further than City Residential. We bought a brand new apartment in liverpool which was put on the market with another company who messed us about for nearly 8 months. At this point we were completely fed up with them, so we phoned CITY RESIDENTIAL and spoke to Stephen Butterly head of new business and asked if he could help. The very same day stephen picked up the keys visited our apartment took photos and on returning to the office contacted us to let us know that they would be happy to take it on. Day two the apartment was advertised with right move on there premium listing which was wonderful as the very net day the flat was viewed by a potential client looking for a let. two days later he contacted city residential and made a offer of the full rental price and asked if he could move in, in nine days time after checks had been carried out and references taken.DO NOT BOTHER WITH ANY OTHER LETTING AGENTS un till you have contacted City Residential and spoken to Stephen and his team they have been fantastic and i can not thank them enough Angela

Fantastic experience: I used City Residential when I purchased a property in Liverpool 10 years ago, the service was excellent, therefore when I recently was ready to sell, there was no question about using them as the selling agent. The property was sold very quickly, the communication was excellent, weekly updates were provided and phone calls when there was urgent or significant updates. Very professional service and cost was in line with the competition. A friend is currently selling a property in Peterborough area and are receiving nothing like this level of service from their agent.

Fantastic experience: I've recently started letting out my flat. First time landlord and I didn't really know where to start. City Residential have made it very easy for me. They dealt with getting the landlord licence, the electricity certificate for compliance, arranging a few minor repairs; they found a tenant in literally 1 day and just made it easy overall. The people I've dealt with Stephen and Sophie) have both been friendly and professional. They have been quick to respond to my emails, so I'm very happy with the service and so are the tenants.
