Fantastic experience: The apartment was a small studio with all the amenities included. You can even choose it for a long term stay since they provide all the kitchen facilities. It’s brand new so very well insulated and I find quite good.

Fantastic experience: I’ve absolutely loved this place - it’s so cosy and pink, which is my favourite colour. I didn’t need them, but it was so useful having a dishwasher, washing machine, cocktail maker, and toaster in the room. I also loved the hot water tap, so there was no need to use a kettle. I’ll definitely be staying again, as this is now my new favourite accommodation in Bristol

Fantastic experience: My fiancée and I really loved a house we saw online and so booked in to view. Mackenzie was absolutely brilliant and we managed to view straight away. This was our first ever house purchase so we had a lot of questions, and Mackenzie answered them all. He was always quick to respond and also a great go between whenever we had questions to pass on to the vendors. Couldn’t recommend Mackenzie enough. He was brilliant. We are now in and settled and are very grateful to have had him helping us through the purchase of our new home!

Fantastic experience: A delightful cottage in the heart of Shaldon where you only a stones throw away from the beach, pub, chippy and shops. Very clean and well dressed house over three floors. Well equipped and well presented. The stairs are a little tricky but you soon get used to them. Definitely will return and Shaldon has always been one of my favourite places to stay.

Positive experience: We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at the property. The accommodation was clean, spacious, and well presented, making it easy to relax and feel at home. Check-in was straightforward and communication with the host was clear and helpful. Just to note, two of the three bathrooms had broken toilet lids during our stay, which we made the host aware of. Aside from this, everything else was great and the property suited our needs well. Overall, a pleasant stay and we would recommend it.

Fantastic experience: i have had colleagues who use this accommodation on a regular basis and have expressed how good, clean and convenient they are. I have always used the Premier Inn when in and around this area which to be fare can be quite expensive and their prices fluctuate on a daily bases. my first visit to the accommodation left me quite speechless, the rooms are well kitted out, very clean and tidy. beds are comfortable and the bathroom is also good and clean, one minor issue is the size of the bathroom sink, bit small but in the grand scheme of things its not really a show stopper, if anything this is me trying to find a fault! quite a few rooms available, how many im not sure but was pleasantly surprised with just how quiet it was. very well priced and will defiantly be staying there again.

Negative experience: I definitely do not recommend this company. We rented a one-bedroom flat in St Thomas, Bristol. Everything was filthy. The bed was smaller than the bed frame, the sheets were dirty, the kitchen was filthy and stained from previous guests. The shower leaked and water was running everywhere. The carpet was disgusting; a previous guest had written "Clean me" on the table with the dust. There was also a major lack of communication from Hopewell; they didn't answer emails or phone calls. We made the payment and they didn't send us the gate codes. We called Booking.com and they told us they always have this problem with this company (which I don't understand, why don't they stop working with them?). It's true that Booking.com was very helpful and contacted us, sending us the codes. They have good reviews here on Google, but on Booking.com and other companies, the reviews are terrible. I definitely wouldn't recommend this company. Here are some photos of the leak, the countertop, etc...it's a shame I didn't take more pictures The accommodation was a disaster and Hopewell's treatment was awful, total neglect.

Fantastic experience: For me a one night visit, a night out and a nostalgic revisit of Bristol after 20years. The booking was easy, for me the deposit payment was a leap of faith, but some trust in the system and no problems at all. Lots of contact with the agents, you get key safe numbers so no hassle with meeting anyone, easy process. The room was beautiful! High ceilings, stylish, little kitchen, en suite bathroom with a shower. All clean and well appointed. Bed was perfect! I’m 6’2” so served me well. Location is good, a little city noise, but you’re in a city. The hill isn’t that bad, I’d recommend walking to Christmas steps, some nice bars and cafes there and just a prettier walk to town. I will definitely stay here again next visit for a night out with my partner. For the price a great stay!

Negative experience: I’ve used hopewell to rent their apartments almost every week for the past 4 months due to work, and I haven’t been impressed at all with their standards! The apartments are never cleaned properly!! It’s really a massive rip off that they charge around £40 for a cleaning fee when you book, however pots and pans are almost always dirty, there’s usually some crumbs and hairs lying around, and the level of grease and grime in some of the rooms is just disgusting!! Not to mention showers are always rusty, and amenities not always working properly / clear on how to use. They often forget to provide something whether it be washing up liquid, or soap or etc The rooms are lovely spaces with good amenities and in great locations but sadly it’s let down by the lack of care!

Mackenzie was always incredibly responsive to any of my queries, which was much appreciated (particularly as a first time buyer). The whole process felt straightforward and stress-free thanks to Mackenzie’s help.

Positive experience: All very clean and tidy. Contemporary furnishings and fittings. Electric radiators worked well once turned on. Only comment would be that there were no hand towels just a medium sized bath towel. Other than that all good.

Fantastic experience: Wow what can I say…me and my partner loved this place. It’s close to a motorway bet you don’t realise it’s there…the house is so peaceful. We absolutely loved the layout, very different to a usual place but so nice. Everything worked as it should, beautifully presented so if you need a break away from the hum drum of everyday life…this is the place. We would go back in a heartbeat

Fantastic experience: Very comfortable nicely done up Air B&B. Good location for Chew Stoke and the Chew Valley. Parking is a little tricky and involves a short walk which is something to have in mind if guests are elderly/disabled in any way.

Negative experience: AVOID AT ALL COSTS Avoid this agency if you value honesty, communication, or professionalism. I’m only posting this now because my deposit has finally been repaid and I’m no longer financially tied to them. Our tenancy with Hopewell was one long chain of preventable problems. The property was shown with a dining room that turned into a fifth bedroom two weeks after moving in — even the landlord said it shouldn’t have been advertised that way. They tried to remove my parking permit on the day the agreement was issued, the inventory arrived a week late, and their “out-of-hours” support didn’t respond during a four-hour power cut caused by a locked fuse board. They also didn’t tell us about a delay in the washing machine installation or the landlord’s offer to cover laundromat costs. I received incorrect late-rent notices despite paying early every month, and my deposit repayment was delayed six weeks because they processed individual tenancies as if they were joint. Even the property manager said they “can only work with what the landlord wants,” which explains everything: they don’t advocate for tenants.

Fantastic experience: I loved my stay here. The room was large with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Well located and the tavern downstairs was friendly with great food too.

Positive experience: I stayed for 3 nights, lovely little studio flat, although there is parking if you do go out then on return be prepared that your space will be gone. Not saying my stay was fully perfect however when I asked for someone to call me back they did . The lady I spoke with was polite and friendly and thanked me for my feedback and the things I made them aware about. Comfy bed and overall a nice stay

Positive experience: We had to wait outside the property in the rain for 1 hour, a faulty key lock being the problem. Otherwise the accommodation was excellent + the free parking being a bonus.

Fantastic experience: The marketing was prompt and efficient. Viewings were quickly arranged, and a buyer selected. That the process took an appallingly long time was entirely the fault of the buyer and I was reassured at every stage, which helped a lot! I was kept fully informed at every stage. Excellent!

Fantastic experience: A very nice basement on Gordon Road in Clifton, close to the university. Comfortable bed, a well equipped kitchen and a lovely living and dining room, where we had a family reunion. Also very warm due to the underfloor heating. Only negative points is that there was nowhere to hang you coats near the entrance or place to hang towels to dry.

Positive experience: The flat was lovely and clean and we had a very comfortable stay. It was well presented and modern and in a great location. The only difficulty was the lock box to collect the keys, when we arrived we really struggled to get it open. we called the people for help and they said they knew it was tough to open and that we needed to apply more force- we then managed to open it. However when we went to leave we could not get the box open at all- we tried to open it using the keys etc because it was that hard to open. So again we had to ring the company who said we just needed to apply more force until we told them we had been there for a long time trying to open it. In the end we had to just leave the keys in the house. It was clear that others have struggled to open the box because the metal was dented and damaged. Other than the problem with the lock box it was brilliant and we had a great stay. Also just be mindful that there is building work across the street. Woke up at 8 to drilling. Was loud as was right outside the window.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely loved our stay at flat 118 Redcross street in Bristol. Location was fab, area was clean, quiet and safe, and weekend on street parking was lovely. Only thing I would say is bring a mattress topper because the mattress is VERY hard and the bed is quite squeaky! The room was a little chilly getting close to winter now but popping the oven on for 10 mins to take the edge off really helped. We would 100% stay again, it was clean, modern, and overall one of the best stays I’ve had in Bristol!

Fantastic experience: Very nice location, cute animals outside the house. House (The Cottage) is overall in good shape, but shows a little bit of wear. Living room carpet could have been vut cleaner (there were some crumbs on the carpet). Also had to rewash dishes cause they had been put to cupboard wet and living room table was also broken. But overall the stay was good. House was ideal size, free parking, everything was quiet, bedroom really cozy and beed comfortable. Would recommend to everyone who want to stay put of the city but still really close to everything.

Fantastic experience: 46 Pembroke Road the ground flat duplex is a very premium apartment. Classics designed with quality books, travel interests and maps, and collectables from the owner's vast global adventures. We enjoyed our stay, fact that we are the same type of people and felt at home quickly. We found the kitchen well equipped, the open space living and dining areas, and bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The stairs to the downstairs bedrooms and bathroom do need careful navigatio. We managed without problems but thought the agent could remind future visitors who might have incapability handling steps.

Negative experience: Communication was unacceptable. The address wasn’t clear, and we stood in the rain trying to open the wrong lockbox. We couldn’t reach anyone for over an hour—no replies to calls or Airbnb messages. As a result, we missed our dinner reservation and were charged for it. Eventually someone answered and we got in. The next day we were accidentally locked out when the wind slammed the door shut. Again, it took over an hour to get help. When someone finally answered, a rude, dismissive young woman questioned us rudely, insisted it wasn’t an accident, sighed heavily, and made it clear helping us was a huge inconvenience. We then waited another hour for her. Her attitude was completely unprofessional. I messaged the host explaining everything and received no acknowledgment—just automated check-out instructions. The flat smelled strongly of damp, especially under the sink, and the floors were lifting. It’s also extremely noisy from traffic and loud neighbors. There was also no mirror unlike what the pictures suggest.

Fantastic experience: The old dairy, Clevedon 5 number 4, is an excellent property, tastefully furnished, and ideally located. However, there were three issues we had which could be easily fixed. There were no cloths to wipe down surfaces; there were no instructions for the appliances; there was no information about the local area and suggestions for places to visit

Fantastic experience: Great place to stay. Clean, beautifully maintained. Would stay again. The security is very reassuring and the reason for my only complaint: the outside combination door lock. The silver color of the letters and the background make it difficult to see what the buttons say - especially at night and a few pints. Perhaps a new keypad? Otherwise, super place. And kudos to the friendly cleaners. They let us leave our bags and cleaned around it. Much appreciated!

Positive experience: The apartment is a good size (it seems bigger than in the photos) and is conveniently placed for Clifton and the city centre. We had an issue with getting hot water in the bathroom, but we sussed it in the end. The secret is ensuring that the boiler in the cupboard under the outside stairs is set to max, and running the hot tap in the kitchen at the same time as in the washbasin so that the hot water starts to flow through. The switches for the underfloor heating, towel rail and bathroom mirror are in the cupboard above the washing machine, which we didn't discover until a couple of days into our stay. It would have been helpful to have these instructions at the beginning of our stay. The property manager did come round promptly when we asked for help though. The bed was comfortable and the apartment was well cleaned and maintained. There was some noise from the apartment upstairs, but only footsteps on the creaky wooden floor (bring ear plugs for sleeping!). Otherwise the apartment was quiet, despite it's proximity to the Lido which is well worth a visit. Sadly, the weather wasn't good enough to use the courtyard but it would have been nice on a warm summer's day.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend! Me and my friends had a great stay at the Alma Tavera guest house - we booked out all the rooms. Staff were super friendly and we had everything we needed. Will stay here again for my next trip to bristol

Negative experience: Do not be fooled by its central location and the supposedly modern look! Apart from other relatively minor issues (a stuffy room, no air conditioning, and an unpleasant smell), the shower broke down less than 24 hours after checking in. The issue was reported, and we were promised over the phone that the only option was to relocate us to a different apartment the next morning after reporting this major issue. The issue that made our stay unexpectedly uncomfortable. Despite numerous attempts to get in touch with the person who proposed the relocation (over the phone and via email), we never heard from them! They never got back to us! The scenario that seemed unimaginable became a very unpleasant and extremely annoying reality. We had no access to the shower until the end of our stay! Our advice is to avoid Hopewell - Independent Estate & Local Lettings Agent in Clifton, Bristol, at all costs.

Fantastic experience: We had a lovely stay in Mortimer road. The beds were very comfortable, rooms were large and well appointed. The shower(always important) had great water pressure and was a good size. We had a lovely week staying in Clifton. The location couldn’t be better. I would love to visit again.

Positive experience: The room was very nice but the booking process is very overcomplicated. I received far too many messages and texts and emails instead of one concise email telling me the different door codes required. Also we arrived at 10 pm and could not get the front door open. Luckily another guest was leaving so we were able to enter the building.

Positive experience: Booked an apartment in Bristol via Hopewell and had good support and communication throughout, especially putting my mind at ease regarding the deposit required. Location of the apartment (Premier Suites) was ideal for a stroll into the city and also to a couple of nearby restaurants and bars. Highly recommend Pasture, Lamaya and Left Handed Giant. Easy access to the apartment and parking space, although you do need to go up to the apartment to retrieve the gate fob for the parking first and during our stay the lift was out of order so it was a bit of a trek up the stairs to the third floor! The apartment was all we needed for our short stay and would recommend for similar.

Fantastic experience: Our second time at The Chalet at Seagulls and it didn’t fail to disappoint again. Such a beautiful chalet in a peaceful picturesque area. The Chalet is tastefully furnished with high quantity toiletries and an array of essentials. Total perfection. Catherine the host is accommodating and extremely friendly. Very refreshed after our stay.

Fantastic experience: Hopewell have looked after my flat for over 2 years now. I have dealt with other agencies and here is the difference: medium size business and the way things are run mean that: 1) you have one point of contact, and for a long time, no new person each month, so they know your flat and history 2) they look after the flat, regular visits ensure they keep an eye on it- I had city relay in London who never visited my flat once in 2 years. 3) they have everything in house, handy man etc, so what you pay for this is small, again city relay just used external services and the costs passed to me were huge! 4) no hidden fees: again city relay look to make money everywhere. So if the flat was empty because they couldn’t fill it for 2 weeks they would dust it and charge me 70 for a ‘re fresh clean’. 5) occupancy: Hopewell have always been able to keep my flat very full, this shows that they really dedicate time to check on every flat. They aren’t just in autopilot mode. There are many more reasons… but the other main thing for me as a landlord is my trust in the company..

Positive experience: A spacious, well-equipped appartment, with good storage space and located close to shops and restaurants. The hot water and room temperature controls are a little challenging to work out and we found the appartment a bit too hot at night (in early September) - maybe a fan would help. Great to have secure parking out the back and a washing machine, although a clothes horse would be good in the absence of a clothes drier. Overall it's a pretty good and comfortable place.

Little things like a floor towel for the bathroom would be useful but overall a lovely stay. I would stay here again.

Positive experience: Lovely little property. Clean comfy bed, good shower and kitchen facilities. We had an issue with there being no key when we arrived as the key safe was broken but the cleaner came over and sorted us out once we had contacted Hopewell. The sofa needs a deep clean. It’s badly stained and actually smells stale which isn’t ideal. Other than that no complaints at all and thanks!

When I arrived there was a food and wine festival happening down the road which was fun. It’s a perfect get away cottage with everything you need, clean and well decorated. This place was in the perfect location for us, and since we stayed Sunday - bank hol Monday we were able to park right outside with no issues. Walkable to Clifton Downs. Lovely big shower, somewhere to cook, sit and eat together. We will definitely keep this place in mind for future trips to Bristol

Positive experience: Good location and basic set up which was good for a the 2 nights we were there. Couldn’t get hot water from the tap in the kitchen and the air con unit didn’t work. Wasn’t an issue for our short stay.

Positive experience: Beautiful & comfortable, exactly what we wanted. Spacious and welcoming with great views. A clean and quiet atmosphere. However there was no dish cloth and no pillow cases on the pillow. Other than that, I recommend this place a lot. Had an excellent experience.

Fantastic experience: Accommodation was good for the price, premises are kept clean and the washing/drying equipment are good and new. The bed was a bit small for two people and a bit stiff. Service was good and responsive.

Fantastic experience: Very lovely accommodation I'm so impressed when we arrived. It's for my husband birthday and we are come from London to celebrate in Bristol. Would love to come back to stay here again when we come to visit Bristol again next time

Fantastic experience: The apartment was amazing , extremely comfortable and clean . The decor was really cool too . I have nothing tgat i can think of thats a negative so would highly recommend at stay at this location

Fantastic experience: Excellent studio flat, clean and modern with comfy bed. Great bathroom and shower. I would recommend and would definitely stay again.

Positive experience: Lovely little stay! Flat was clean and well presented. Easy to find and get in to. Basic essentials all there which was great (soap, washing up liquid etc) Only issue was the mattress was very uncomfortable. The springs kept popping out whenever we moved. Hot water seemed to only work on day one. Didn't contact the host though as we were leaving an hour later.

Fantastic experience: We have just returned from a few days staying at The Granary and this will not be the last time we visit. Communication from the moment you book to the moment you check it is very efficient. The house itself is absolutely beautiful and finished off to a high spec and it has everything that you would need. We sat outside and fired up the hot tub last night, it took 30-45 minutes to heat up which is a lot quicker than we thought and we’re kept company by the beautiful Alpacas that roam the field. Made a special effort to get up from the super comfy bed early this morning to catch the sunrise and was glad I did. Any future bookers are in for a real treat when you stay here, I already feel jealous

Fantastic experience: We stayed for 11 nights in the Hay Barn and it was lovely, clean and comfortable. Everything you would need. The only thing I would say is the lane driving towards the cottage is very bumpy with some deep potholes which could do with some attention. I would definitely stay again. Also very good for disabled persons.
