Negative experience: CJ Hole were consistently useless, always unprofessional and often Illegal. Highlights included: - Letting people come into my house to remove my dishwasher without warning me. - Letting people into my bedroom for "maintenance" without warning me. - Stating that we had to give back the keys early. - Booking viewings at unreasonable times and when we rejected them asking us to organise viewings ourselves. - Taking 11 months to fix a roof leak, during which time I had to scrape mould off my walls - Offering to bribe me to remove this review. - Delaying an agreed rent refund until after we had moved out and then denying knowledge of it. I twice had to threaten them with legal action to get solutions to the problems I raised. Avoid at all costs.

Negative experience: More like zero star! Arrogant Rafal of CJ Hole money grabbing unhelpful piece of work. Very quick at pointing out faults some of which were there before we moved in….i.e blue tac on kitchen wall. Funny, when you need him in the freezing cold, and the water and heating go on a Friday night his answer FOLLOW THE PROCEDURE…contact the emergency plumber, who would not do anything until the Tuesday, then it goes again after supposedly being repaired. Funny when rent needs to be paid there is no delay grabbing that! When we moved in we pointed out things were unfinished this fell on deaf ears. He made us weed the driveway but guess what there were no garden tools supplied, so had to go and buy some, not good for a student budget! It was also suggested that we get a cleaner that they recommended, with whom I got in contact with after many attempts who said they would get back to me. After two weeks of no contact and me calling every day, they finally got in touch with me and told me Rafal said we no longer needed her. Definitely does not view students the same as private tenants!

Fantastic experience: Bought our first property through CJ Hole and the process with them was relatively straightforward. First, we had our viewings with Keiran and found our house. He was polite and very communicative, never left me waiting for a response. He arranged a few more viewings for us whilst we were sorting out the legal bits and another lady who works part time (forgot her name) sometimes did the viewing. Both were polite, gave us all the info they had and didn't rush us when viewing our house. Once we had moved along more into the process, we worked with Karly who actually seemed to know what was happening more than our solicitor at times. She kept me informed, was very communicative and helped chase those who needed to be chased in the end so we could complete before Xmas. We even got a bottle of prosecco in the end when collecting the key. We weren't expecting it all and really appreciate the gesture, thank you! Very thoughtful. Negative experience: Rented with CJ Hole for 18 months and the experience was disappointing from start to finish. From mistakenly registering our council tax with our next door neighbours, to not keeping appointments, failing to complete repairs, no interest shown in the damp and mouldy conditions we were living in, to even getting our names wrong I have no good word to say about them during 18 months of having them as Lettings agents. Communication was poor and their standards for renters shocking. No care or attention for tenants, only for profit.
