Fantastic experience: Had a great viewing by carmelo, very helpful and friendly!

Negative experience: Absolutely awful letting agent, repairs outstanding for over a year. Reports of mould have been unactioned for over 6 months. I have been left with no hot water, caused by Dryleaze Handyman Services acting on behalf of CJ Hole, for a week with no sign of resolution. The service provided has lacked professionalism and any follow through. Staff our not aware of legislation, timelines and repairing obligations despite acting as a landlord! Recommend everyone to avoid letting a property from them or any landlord who uses CJ hole as a property manager

Negative experience: We had a very disappointing experience with CJ Hole. We began the process of purchasing a property through them, but due to poor communication and misleading information regarding the status of the sale, we ultimately lost over three months and incurred over £1,500 in costs. The situation was extremely stressful, the after-sales team was difficult to reach, and we received little to no communication from senior management despite raising our concerns. I'd never recommend using this estate agency to anyone!!!

We have five rentals in Bristol and we use CJ Hole’s tenant-finding service. We have always found CJ Hole staff to be extremely pleasant and professional. And today Jamie managed to locate an important document from 2019 for me - all done with good humour and speed. No being putting on hold, no being directed to a chatbot - an excellent service all round and we highly recommend CJ Hole.

Fantastic experience: My current tenancy is being managed by CJ Hole Southville and I honestly can’t recommend them enough, Max (property manager) helped us through every step of the application and referencing process seamlessly, meaning that we had nothing to worry or stress about. There’s always someone on hand to answer any queries and questions, plus all the staff are very friendly and easy to talk to. Again, I can’t recommend them enough, especially Max.

Negative experience: My experience with CJ Hole Southville has been extremely disappointing. After moving out of my tenancy in August, my deposit has been held for months due to poor communication and repeated administrative errors by the property manager, Max. Despite providing written proof that I’d left with the landlord’s agreement, the agency failed to update records or release my share. I’ve had to escalate the matter to official bodies for resolution. I would not recommend this branch based on my experience.

Negative experience: We had a smooth process and everything was very timely, so that is a positive. The team we had the pleasure of meeting were all super friendly and helpful - Ethan in particular! Unfortunately, our property manager, Max, brings an unpleasant attitude, is defensive when asked about things that he has missed/messed up on, doesn't know how to communicate effectively and generally has quite a rude and arrogant tone. I can't fathom people working in a service role who make every interaction seem like a chore or inconvenience to them - especially when they are being asked bare minimum (i.e. to update tenants on maintenance progress). I did try to speak to his manager, Seth, who also pretty much disregarded what I had said about our experience, hopefully a public review will urge them to address the issues.

Negative experience: Avoid this estate agent if possible and I wasn't even their customer, I have to give 1 star to simply get my point across They were the estate agent handling a property in our chain and similar to the solicitors dealing with the property they were on par with lacking communication skills. As the transaction was ongoing we were reaching out to our estate agent to get updates as we knew this part of the chain was the only outstanding party as the rest of the chain was complete and ready to move. Multiple emails and phone calls with our estate agent to get the following back "no responses from emails and constantly ringing though and going to voicemail with no replies." This had gone on for multiple weeks with no responses at all, by this time mortgage offers throughout the chain were coming to expiring and needed to get a tangible update. A voicemail was subsequently left by our estate agent emphasising the urgency to get an update with the information given. After this they did get a response,not to provide any update to the chain but simply to state they weren't happy with the manner of the voicemail being left. Not to provide an update to the sales but a review of the voicemail itself. After all this we still hear nothing from them, the reason for this turns out to be that the original person dealing with the sale left the company, their replacement left the company also shortly after and the transaction was left with the area director, all of which failed to respond to any communications nor update us that could be delays due to handing over of the sale. All of this in itself is shocking behaviour, no disregard for the fact that there were multiple parties in the chain at a point where the whole chain could fall through due to lack of timely responses. The only good thing to come from this was that we no longer have to deal with this estate agent as the chain collapsed and no longer have the stresses of the lack of any updates from them and now moved onto an estate agent that has competency and understands the nature of timely responses and customer satisfaction.

Fantastic experience: On September 4th, our group was shown around a property in the Bedminster area by Carmelo Bartucca. He was a lovely and friendly sales negotiator.

Negative experience: Horrendous agents. Did they sell the property? Yes. Manager, Sam, attended to the valuation and I was blown away with the professionalism, honesty and promise of aftersale services. This is where the good stuff about them ends. They have a dedicated after sales line, it’s option 4, don’t bother ringing it, they never answer it. On the 29 occasions that I attempted, it wasn’t answered once. Voicemails are ignored. One time the inbox was full so couldn’t even leave a voicemail. Awful service. We had an issue with our property during the sale which the buyer was legally obligated to be informed of, naturally, we were worried and wanted to be kept informed. Were we? Ofocurse, not. A full week later, I called again only to be told that the buyer hadn’t even been made aware, a bit of a problem when me as the vendor has to make the agent aware of legal obligations. When these complaints were raised with Sam, the manager, they were met with excuses such as being understaffed and automated emails being sufficient as a means of communication. Considering they were considerably more expensive than other agents, their service fell grossly short of being considered satisfactory let alone impressive. Avoid!

Negative experience: Comically incompetent. We had experience as renters and our landlord was selling the house so we saw their selling methods too. There's so much to say that I'm going to make a timeline. 1. Property was advertised as furnished or unfurnished. We said we wouldn't want the majority of the furniture so they said it would be gone. When we moved in it was still there. When questioned they said we should just get rid of the stuff. (Two years later as we were moving out they again described it as furnished despite us getting rid of at least 50% of the items.) 2. The window in our flat broke within the first two weeks of tenancy. We reported it and two years later our property manager admitted they probably deleted the request. 3. The property was put up for sale. They lost the key to the flat! So we had to attend every viewing to let everyone in. The estate agents were consistently 15 minutes late which always lead to awkward exchanges with potential buyers. Agents had done no research on the property and regularly deferred to me to provide information. The landlord took the property off of the market! 4. When we handed in our notice, they "lost" the email and asked us to re send it to them. In summary: couldn't organise a fire in a match factory!

Positive experience: We've completed 4 or 5 viewings with CJ Hole, Ethan Buckler who showed us round was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He quickly understood what we were looking for and was always ready to give important information when required. Ethan was also excellent and backing away when we were deep in conversation or needed a quiet moment. Overall the booking process was a little bit of a faff because of the number of properties and our schedules - none of that was Ethan's fualt but that's why it's only 4 stars.

Negative experience: Would leave 0 stars if I could. Literally the worst at communicating with other estate agents in relation to house move. We have been held up in a chain for several months and trying to get updates from CJ Hole in relation to progress is like getting blood out of a stone. Causing unnecessary stress in an already stressful situation! Would appear this is not the first time they have held up a chain.

Negative experience: No correspondence with our estate, no discussions with our buyers buyer, no response to us. CJ Hole holding up pur entire chain and don't show any signs of caring about completing a sale.
