Fantastic experience: I recently sold my leasehold, shared ownership flat in Ware via Luke at Taylor Phelps. After a disappointing experience with another local agent, I moved the listing to Taylor Phelps and Luke was able to sell it within 3 weeks of the listing being live, securing asking price. The legal process was far from smooth but Luke remained friendly, approachable and down to earth throughout which helped reassure me along the way. Taylor Phelps operate with a no nonsense and honest approach, and i wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them!

Negative experience: TERRIBLE agency. I will never ever buy a property from this agency again. We brought a house and the agency never informed us the house has an estate (service) charge on it. We later found out after the conveyancing process started and we paid our solicitor. There is absolutely no reason a seller will hide this information from an estate agency. They misled us and expected us to believe the seller didn’t disclose such information about their property. You as an agency have a responsibility to ensure you have all information about a property before you put it on the market. Secondly there was a leakage in the kitchen pipes which was again very obvious to the estate agency as it was just below the sink however we overlooked this when buying. That to one side, I have never seen an agency lie about such charges we are liable for a lifetime. I am absolutely disgusted and my next property will not be purchased by yourselves. You need to be transparent and professional with buyers. With this tupe of selling behaviour, you will not be referred to anyone or win new clients. Ridiculous and on top we were not even offered a compensation for this. Not willing to reduce the price adter lying about service charges. Horrible people
