Negative experience: Our family were purchasing a vacant new build through MA so gave Louis, MA, a chance to market our lovely home. I supported him with the written details. We sold for a lower offer as he got a deal on the new build for us. Two weeks later he said the developers wanted 25k more from us! We had sorted our mortgage, paid a deposit for the plot and instructed solicitors. On the day we agreed the deal, our For Sale board arrived, over a week and a half late! For us, it felt like lies were told and he worked for the developers and our buyers, over us! We let the deal fall through, took our property off the market and will go back on with Steven Oates. Others friends of ours locally had this experience of immaturity from Louis. Westley is professional. Louis is a good person but let us down. We are back to square one, weeks on sadly!

They showed us a number of properties and were very patient and not pushy. When our initial offer on a property was not accepted, they carried on assisting our search and because of their good communication, when the initial buyer fell through, we knew where we stood and were able to speedily return into the process. We felt comfortable with their attitude being helpful and wanting to move the sale ahead - but not at any cost. Fantastic experience: I have already recommended MA twice since they handled brilliantly our flat sale in Hertford. This was a niche flat, four-bed, one of only two in a large development. We mostly dealt with Westley & Michael. I will add my voice to previous reviews that complement their honesty, communication, partnership approach, professionalism, diligence and unique philosophy. Matt the MA photographer is gifted, a former estate agent himself. Westley suggested a good asking price and we achieved 98% of this. They fought on our behalf when facing a tricky buyer’s solicitor. It was especially important to me that we could be hands-off. MA were knowledgeable about the specifics of our development – such as communal facilities, the lease conditions or the management company – they could handle most aspects of buyer enquiries. We set up before viewings and went out – MA staff were fully equipped to show people round and bring out the best in the flat, as though they had lived in it themselves.
