Fantastic experience: After a year on the market with Stags and GTH we changed to the Property Centre who then sold our house in 17 days! A world apart...not just with their amazing photo's and videos (so much more effort went into it) but they learnt so much about the house they could answer every question and 'sold' the house to potential buyers - didn't just show ppl around! Their communication is excellent too - I just can't recommend them enough. Other estate agents could learn a lot from these guys!

Negative experience: I have rented through The Property Centre for the past five years, and my experience has been up and down. At every inspection, the focus has been on criticising cleanliness. Photos are taken and I am told the property has not been cleaned to a satisfactory standard, despite the fact that the property itself is old, damp, and has received little to no meaningful updates or maintenance during my tenancy. There is a clear difference between lack of cleanliness and long-term wear, damp, and deterioration caused by poor upkeep, yet this distinction is repeatedly ignored. Tenants are quick to be accused of causing damage, while the agent fails to fulfil their responsibility to ensure the property is maintained to a reasonable standard. As a result, I now feel too scared to report issues when they arise, due to fear that I will be blamed or held responsible rather than supported. The inspections feel one-sided and unfair, placing blame on tenants while overlooking the landlord’s and agent’s obligations. After five years, I would expect a more balanced, responsible, and professional approach to property management. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience thought the years.

Fantastic experience: The property centre have been fantastic. I’m currently purchasing through them and they have been wonderful from the offset. From my initial viewings, they listened to my wishes and needs and accommodated that into the properties I viewed. Once I found a property I liked, I arranged for a second viewing with Toby who was fantastic and allowed me plenty of time to ring my mum who is overseas. He was kind and understanding throughout the offer process and reassured me when I was anxious about the process of putting an offer in. Toby’s also been able to accommodate further re-visits so I can get things measured up, take more photos and videos and generally stayed in contact and has kept me updated through the process. Overall, really impressed and can’t wait to finally move.

Negative experience: Recently moved out of rental property managed by property centre in Taunton. Our property was originally rented with Richard Gibbins but then handed over to the property centre for rentals. We have had nothing but bad service from them. They have held our deposit as the land lady was not happy with the garden in a residential area known for poor soil/gardens especially in winter months. On the inventory it was written that the garden is acceptable for this time of year however the landlady disagreed and proposed we pay for re seeding. We as tenant felt this was unfair if the letting agency had agreed this was ok for time of year. They made us wait for quotes for this regardless this took 3 weeks. They pressured us to have viewings whilst we were moving out which we felt was unfair. We are still waiting for our deposit and we moved out in November. Every time we ring we are put through to answer phone or people are always in meetings. We get promised a call back and they never do call back. We feel this is really poor communication and has been managed very poorly. they have already re rented the property we moved out of and we are still waiting for our deposit and had to pay deductions from it even though there is tenants already moved in to. really unhappy with the service. Do not recommend.

Fantastic experience: I would strongly recommend Tom, I was with a cooperate high street estate agent for 7 months. In that time, I had 7 different agents try to sell my house (a modern, 3 bedroom semi detached house in an estate). After not getting anywhere with them and after some poor advice from them, I decided to look elsewhere. Tom came in and took on the house. In about a week I had more viewings than I had previously and after about 10 days of the house being on the market it was sold! I think a lot of this was down to Tom's professionalism, work ethic and personal touch. So if you are looking for an agent that will get your house sold then I recommend you give Tom a call!

Fantastic experience: After being listed with a couple of estate agents, we'd slightly lost hope that we would ever sell. But Property Centre were so proactive at getting viewings and pushing the property that they managed to get a buyer within only a couple of months. Genuinely so grateful we swapped. Thank you!

Negative experience: Landlords - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! We opted to rent via property centre and found immediate contact / communication issues. Sadly the issues are from the top down, management to team members. We were given tenants without referrals who also (after the fact) we were told weren’t ideal, who then stopped paying us rent, along with destroying our immaculate new build home and sub letting to others during their time in the property. Now this wouldn’t be the worst thing as problems happen in life, and as we paid for Property centres rental guarantee (complete waste of time) which didn’t pay us, leaving us to get a credit card to cover missed payments. Again, accidents and problems occur, which you would then hope a fully managed service (that we paid for), would MANAGE the issue. Again, this did not happen, we were chasing every other day to find out the issues and what we could do, but they seemed more concerned with not upsetting the tenants rather than helping their client I.e us! Furthermore it took us to talk directly with the tenants causing the issues and tell them of our struggles financially for the tenants to agree to leave! We understand problems occur, but it’s how it’s managed that makes the difference between good or bad service. At every single turn it has been poor from property centre, from their recommendation of tenants, to the management of the issues which occurred, through to simple communications! At every turn we have had to chase, we’ve been ignored and constantly trying to get answers when for instance we sought fixing the house back to pre incident conditions, it’s taken 2 weeks for any financial calculations regarding deposits and to finalise everything properly. Once again our 3 phone calls today have all been ignored until my partner rang on a different number and it was answered immediately. We then raised our concerns to the managing director who had the Gaul to say it was nothing to do with them, remove any accountability and merely blame us. Instead of seeking resolution or taking any responsibility. This is a continued issue from property centre and if managing directors act like this no wonder their staff also do. Since changing estate agents we’ve not ONCE had to chase or wait for communication to occur. We listened to property centres advice regarding selling our property, which has again led to us being in a financially worse position AGAIN, along with the tenants who refused to pay, and then fabricated their own version of events to remove any accountability their end. Whilst all this stress was ongoing, financial problems mounting for us and serious concerns, the 30% payment we finally received from the tenants before leaving, the property centre made sure to take their FULL management fee before giving us the remainder. Instead of speaking to us, being fair, understanding, or trying to calculate a fair way to do things which helped us out (their client) they made sure to take their full payment whilst still not paying us the rental guarantee insurance for the first month of missed payments. This was absolutely disgusting behaviour and accurately shows how Property centre operate and true reflection of their priorities! Very very poor service at every turn, communicate with a landlord if they face financial challenges, and manage the problems that occur if you claim to offer a “managed service” with “rental guarantee insurance” You can never prevent bad situations or problems occuring, but we relied upon yourselves to help us sort it and at EVERY SINGLE TURN you failed us! The only reason we sought clarification or reassurance wasn’t to be a pain guys, it’s because you continued to let us down and further lead us into debt and longer periods of stress than needed. Simple communication and understanding is all it took to improve the bad situation we found ourselves in! Be better!! I’d avoid these at all costs!

Fantastic experience: Let me start with saying that it does matter (extremely) which estate agency you will pick to deal with your sale. I was dealing with another agents before employing The Property Centre and it was nothing short of nightmare. The Property Centre sold me within 2 weeks from taking over. They achieved full asking price, which was more than I wanted and more than previous agency suggested. Sale is a daunting process and you rarely know everything that is happening with your sale. Not with The Property Centre you don't. They have set me up an extremely helpful group chat to keep me informed on the progress of everything and they were chasing things for me with both sides solicitors. Absolutely worth every penny of their well deserved commission. I know other people who sold using The Property Centre and their experience was as good as mine, which means that the business is just operating that way and puts customer first. My heartfelt thanks to Jon, Lizzie and everyone else at The Property Centre. Keep on doing what you are doing and soon others will have no customers as I could see the difference from the day 1.
