From start to finish I must have been a pain to deal with my really appreciate their non stop support with selling my property. Negative experience: I have just returned home from seeing the manager, face to face, as I wanted some answers, but I didn’t get anything! Not even some display of remorse or apology of what has occurred. Just like the vendors, the manager has no respect towards me or my partner. To just increase the price of the property without actually giving us the opportunity to increase our offer and allowing us to make the decision to withdraw and lose money invested so far. I am utterly dumb struck at how an estate manager would not even attempt to discuss with the vendors and encourage them to have an open discussion with us about the situation. But no! Just to see the house reposted on Rightmove at a higher price! Is this not just disgusting, disrespectful, thoughtless, rude, insulting and completely degrading? We were asked for ‘transparency’ from the vendors and we’ve displayed nothing but. Everything was governed and controlled by them. We were so obliging and now they decide to increase the price, 6 weeks down the line! The state and smell of Barstow Eves premises in Witham demonstrates everything about the way they behave!

Negative experience: Where do I start, if I can give a negative rating then I would, but unfortunately I can’t and therefore have to give it the minimum one star. Firstly, the law in England needs to change when it comes to selling and buying houses to prevent innocent parties losing hundreds if not thousands of pounds when a sale doesn’t complete. Why am I writing this review against Bairstow Eves, they are allowing the owner of the home in which the sale was agreed with us, to pull out and are willing to re-advertise the property at a higher price which has resulted in us losing hundreds of pounds in legal and search fees. I do not know why they would want to go down this road with the seller but instead refuse to market the property. Is Bairstow Eves that desperate for business? I will also be writing to their HQ to question why they are allowing their branch to do this to us?

I really never knew how much Estate Agents needed to know and do to support a chain through a sale but I do not believe our purchase would have been achieved if it wasn't for the exceptional service we received every stage of the way. I would highly recommend. We also used their Solicitors for our purchase and Sale and again, they were superb.

Fantastic experience: A team that will truly give their all and go above and beyond for you: Particular props go to both Jordan and Nick for not only the help and support they gave us, but for picking up the slack/carrying the weight of issues caused by another agency up the chain - Jordan and Nick are superheroes! From stage one, Jordan was lovely and informative during the viewing, and she was magnificent during the offer/final offer stages; I daresay my other half and I wouldn't have got the property without her support - definitely recommend for first time buyers! And in the time beyond/up to the completion (tomorrow!), she has been a helpful and active agent for us; her positivity is infectious! Through no fault of Bairstow Eves, we had quite a few nightmares along the way, but Nick and Jordan kept us up-to-date, pushed hard on the chain above, and made the impossible happen. DISCLAIMER/ADVICE: Bairstow Eves are magnificent, but I wouldn't recommend the Countrywide Conveyancing Service (I believe they may be a part of the same group, but not sure)/I would recommend using a different conveyance service. There are many great things about Countrywide, but ultimately a few significant blunders their side almost collapsed the sale, and you could potentially find yourselves having to do as we did, which is jumping through hoops and pushing hard to get things done. I won't speak more of Countrywide though. This review is more to recommend Bairstow! Conclusion: - Absolutely wholeheartedly recommend Bairstow Eves Witham - Jordan is a saint and goes above and beyond what is expected of an agent - Nick is a spectacular manager that tells you how it is and gets results. - (Perhaps don't use Countrywide Conveyancing though)

I can honestly say Bairstow did everything they could during the process to introduce the right people to us and we successfully found a buyer in August 2021. Fantastic experience: I have nothing but praise for the WHOLE team at the Witham Essex branch. Negative experience: Worst estate agent I have ever dealt with! When asked questions he seemed very arrogant and would say what you want me to say to that? Clearly just in it for the money. How about you get some basic customer service skills. A monkey in a suit would of done a better job. The guy just wanted a quick in and out had no interest in being there.

Nick was round first thing in the morning with his camera and got the property online straight away - I liked the idea of having an open day rather than viewings here and there so he set one up for the following Saturday - he lined up 7 viewings for me - I handed Nick my keys and I took myself, my three children and two dogs to my mums! (hence why I preferred Nick to do the viewings and on one day for me!) by lunchtime we had three offers - Nick handled all the negotiations for me and it was the first guy that viewed my house whom ended up buying it. Nick the estate agent came round to my house, gave us a fair valuation and said he would have it sold within a month and later that day we had a viewing and the house was sold within the hour, I was amazed. The service and professionalism from the staff who dealt with us was amazing. Nick, Jordan and Elaine were brilliant and went out of their way to make sure our move went smoothly.
