Fantastic experience: HOLLAND BROADBRIDGE in general and CHARLOTTE JONES in particular are highly recommended ! Every staff member involved with our property sale has been absolutely superb ! Email responses to/from the team come quickly, phones are answered promptly, advice is offered where necessary. Our property was vacant and viewings were arranged and accompanied by HB. We were notified in advance of each viewing, always by email and often by phone too. We had the opportunity to cancel if inconvenient for any reason. Once we had accepted an offer, our sale was managed by Charlotte Jones. She is exceptional! Charlotte kept me informed sometimes many times a day. She phones, she emails, she chases whoever is blocking progress, she responds to my emails or phones me within minutes of me raising a query, she chases again! Our process was complicated by my conveyancing solicitor (from an online conveyancing firm) being utterly useless. The solicitor made Charlotte's life tough. He literally never answered his phone or emails from the buyer's solicitor or Charlotte. He rarely responded to emails from his paying client (me) and then ignored specific questions I'd asked. Only Charlotte's tenacity in constantly chasing to keep the process moving, and her calm smoothing of waters when my buyer threatened to pull out due to the unnecessary delays caused by my solicitor's absence of timely responses allowed us to make it to completion. I am preparing a very different review for that solicitor !

Fantastic experience: Used HB for the sale of our property. Alex came out to value our house promptly and we were very pleased with the valuation. Fantastic experience: Recently engaged Holland Broadbridge to carry out a valuation and have to say that Alex was excellent taking time to understand our requirements and providing information on similar properties recently marketed in the area to help give a wider picture

Positive experience: Holland Broadbridge were the letting agents for our flat from 2007 to 2024. Naturally, over this length of time, there were a few hiccups with getting repairs carried out, but overall HB provided a good service and ensured the flat was always let to suitable tenants. They handled the sometimes delicate relationship between landlord, tenant and maintenance contractor professionally. When we decided to sell the flat, another level of complexity was added. James and Harry in Sales secured our desired quick sale. Charlotte and Fiona in Lettings worked hard with our tenants to find them a suitable new flat to rent and liaised with Harry and James in Sales - who liaised with the buyer - to ensure we could handover a clean property on the buyer's preferred completion date. There were several moving parts in the closing few weeks - not helped by difficulties in pinning down contractors to undertake essential repairs. However, we were pleased when the efforts made by both Lettings and Sales led to a smooth and prompt sale. (We are also grateful to Fiona for stepping in when Sales were a little tardy in actioning a small agreed refund after completion.) If ever we needed to buy/sell/rent/let another property in Shrewsbury, we'd be happy to use Holland Broadbridge again.

I own 3 rental properties that Fiona & the lettings team have managed for me for the last 16 years. They have always made it a pleasure to deal with and always selected the most suitable tenants that were available at the time. In 16 years the properties have always been rented out and never stood empty. They have always kept me informed of any minor works needed doing & organised the relevant trade to get the job done at a reasonable price. My Father has recently passed and was a part share owner in the properties so I had to get valuations for probate. I have never dealt with the sales side of the business before and was introduced to Alex Bebb. I cannot thank Alex enough as he was very understanding at this sad time and went about his business in a very professional and respectful manner. He liaised with my tenants and assured them that I was not thinking of selling the properties and sent me email and written valuations all within a few days. Fantastic experience: Holland Broadbridge came to value our house - very professional, polite and friendly. Very quick to organise and communication was great.

Negative experience: Overall a terrible letting experience! Upon moving into the property it was found to be in terrible condition, stinking of dogs and filthy, the previous tenants had not cleaned at all. Garden like a jungle etc. Tried raising this and were told its just what its like and that the house had been cleaned. Land lords "handyman" had been in to do some plastering and had not cleaned up or finished the job. Cooker packed in within a month, without going into details Holland Broadbridge took no responsibility and it took months and months to get a working cooker. Landlord sent round contractors with no prior notice, woke up one Sunday to find someone digging up the driveway! Landlord decided to sell up 5 months into a 12 month tenancy, we then had prospective buyers showing up unannounced, viewings being booked in when we just wanted to live in the house, Holland Broadbridge (who were the estate agents) said "so long as we give you 24h notice we can show up when we want." Upon checking out, letting agent turned up on the wrong day to conduct exit inspection, and had the wrong inventory! we were then accused of causing damage and mess which was left by the previous tenants. In 8 years of renting we have never had such a bad experience. I hope some lessons can be learned and future tenants have a better experience.

Fantastic experience: Alex Bebb came to value my home. He was very nice and complimentary about my home of over a decade, he gave me helpful tips about the housing market and how to add value to my home. He knew what he was talking about on a holistic level from architectural floor plans, building regulations and of course the best way to buy and sell. I would personally recommend Alex if you deal with Holland Broadbridge.
