Positive experience: I recently sold a property near Shrewsbury, through Belvoir. Although it was, eventually, an easy sale to a pre-declared interested party, it was a long, drawn out process mainly due to difficulties with the Land Registry. However, the sale was conducted efficiently and professionally without too much interaction with myself. I would especially like to commend one of the sales advisors, Lyndsey Medley who particularly impressed me with her work ethic. I had first met Lyndsey some time before, when I had previously considered putting the property on the market. I eventually decided not to proceed for personal reasons. At the time she was working with another agency but is now at Belvoir. She impressed me immediately by her friendliness and interest in not only the property, but also in the history of the house, which was very important to me. She exhibited a real desire to market our property and, although we received valuations from other agencies, from the first moment of meeting her. Fantastic experience: After having been let down by another agent earlier in the year, we decided to market our property in Wem with Belvoir. This was the best decision for us and we wish we had chosen the Belvoir team to start with! Our house was on the market for a month at which point we agreed a sale on it, with completion following a month after. We would like to thank Lindsey, Helen and Richard for their dedication and professionalism throughout. The quality of the brochure and other marketing materials was great; everything was sent to us for review and approval ever so swiftly! We had a steady stream of targeted viewings which was very encouraging to see especially in comparison to our previous experience. Helen made a great video for the online brochure, and we had a buyer in reasonable time in a very slow market. The legal stage was a real trial for reaqsons that are hard to pin down, but Helen and Richard listened calmly to my ranting and were helpful in keeping the buyers onside. It went through in the end, 2 months later than expected, to relief all round. You may find a slightly cheaper alternative, but the service provided by the Belvoir team was worth it.

Fantastic experience: We’re sadly saying goodbye to Belvoir after 25 years! Over this period they have handled numerous lettings of two properties and their eventual sales. All the tenancies have all been excellently managed for us, with seamless changeovers and efficient handling of any maintenance requirements. I think that our tenants would say the same thing. Negative experience: Terrible estate agents, booked to see a flat with a guy named George Hyne, arrogant, unfriendly and knew nothing about the property, when I asked to put my name forward 3 times, I had no further communication from them, avoid if at all possible.

Their professionalism helpfulness and attention to detail could not be faulted and through these qualities I always felt in very safe and competent hands. Fantastic experience: Recently sold a property with Helen and Richard. An excellent service from start to finish. Received an offer at asking price within the first few viewings. Some negotiating had to be done subsequently due to some survey concerns which were all handled sympathetically and professionally meaning both myself and the buyer were satisfied with the outcome. Further to this, due to frequently being out of the area I needed help with letting in surveyors, contractors, and performing viewings amongst other things. Fantastic experience: I've dealt with multiple people here at Belvoir Shrewsbury over the years, the lettings team managed the property when it was being rented and the sales team dealt with the sale process. There's a complex history of help and support they've provided during my time with them, which can't fit in this single review, neither can my gratitude. While the whole team has probably had to step in and help with my property at one point or another, there are some key players who were absolutely essential in managing and selling my property. Richard and Nicky both helped immensely with managing the property as a rental for years, not only handling tenancies seamlessly but also surpassing expectations and supporting me through multiple complex works to the property. Then when it came to the sale, this was incredibly tricky for multiple reasons, not just because it was a listed building. Both Helen and Richard stuck with it despite numerous sales falling through for different reasons relating to solicitors, lenders etc. But every time, Helen was ready to pick up the pieces and start again, reviewing our strategy and suggesting new ideas, including an auction sale which also fell through. Despite the consistent negative news of sales falling through, Helen would get the marketing back up and running, arrange multiple viewings within days and usually find new potential buyers within a week or so. Without Helen and Richard's persistence and support, I couldn't have got this sale completed, and so it goes without saying that I can absolutely 100% recommend Helen, Richard, Nicky and the rest of the team at Belvoir.

Having barn conversion on the market for considerable period, decided to go dual agency with Belvoir , who introduced a perspective buyer in a week who offered the asking price & a cash buyer so no chain involved. Fantastic experience: Well from the range of star ratings it looks like there's good Belvoir offices and not so good ones; this is a review of an excellent one. We've just sold our house through the Shrewsbury Belvoir agency, and the service we had from them was absolutely first class. They did a great job of marketing our mortgage-sensitive house in this year's difficult conditions, but above all they remained fully involved right through to completion day. Helen and Richard were unfailingly friendly and supportive, and spared no effort to help things along. They also maintained communication and engagement with our buyers, their solicitor and other relevant agents throughout, and played a valuable role when the chain got stuck for a while with another buyer's appallingly bad solicitor (NEVER go with an online solicitor - be warned!). Ok, so some other estate agents may charge a smaller commission; but from our experience and observation, this is one endeavour where you definitely get what you pay for: Belvoir Shrewsbury knocked spots off the others in our chain. All in all, very highly recommended.

We don't live in Shrewsbury, so we had no experience on which we could draw, when we needed to market a property in the town recently. After reading many online reviews for a variety of agents in the area we eventually decided on Belvoir and we couldn't be happier. Although we ended up selling the property, we initially toyed with the idea of renting it out, but as a result of the excellent advice and a detailed market appraisal, provided by Richard, we decided to sell instead. Negative experience: Current agents are a complete joke.. been locked out of the property twice when they’ve come to repair things as they some how have keys for the property I did not have, Repairs are done as cheap as possible using second hand parts and break in the exact same way almost on a monthly basis. When leaving they wanted to charge me for belongs that either belong to a previous tenant or the property itself even after it was mentioned to them when I moved in these items were not mine. When I needed a meter reading , which happened to be in the owners property I was just told to contact the owner myself which in my eyes makes the agency completely redundant if I need to contact the owner myself Would rather avoid in future as it was not a good experience at all.

Fantastic experience: After failing to sell my house using another estate agent, I went on the recommendation of a friend to use Belvoir. Yes they are more expensive but I feel I got what I paid for, excellent presentation of the property, personal involvement of the estate agents, regular contact, and I also feel they were very supportive of the buyer. This was good for me as my house was not necessarily the easiest to sell. But, I got a quick sale at the asking price, so happy days & thank you Belvoir.
