Negative experience: AVOID Terrible agency. Tenancy ended month ago, landlord agreed zero deductions, yet agent Malik kept promising I would get deposit this week, for weeks and hasn’t paid a penny yet. Had to raise a Tenancy Deposit Scheme dispute myself just to get my own deposit money back and still waiting after 35 days. Dishonest and happy to sit on tenants’ deposits.

Negative experience: Leaders in Luton the staff have been ok in sorting out problems but have miss- sold myself and my partner a property. We have been told that the property we are in is for young professionals yet it is seen by us as a student property. We got told it has been professionally cleaned but hadn’t. We have had problems from day one since we have moved in. It’s has effected my partners mental health as he is has been through lots of personal problems from ex partners. We have felt like the property manager that has been assigned to our property isn’t doing things in a timely manner. We had no hot water for 2 weeks so couldn’t shower. Took a week to get the radiator sorted. We have had issues since the day we moved in with our hob. We got told that we have an oven but it’s just a microwave. The Luton branch manger has been fantastic in trying to sort out our issues but we have felt we had to go to the Bedford branch to voice our concerns and see if we can get support in breaking our current... Negative experience: I do not recommend this rental agency. I have dealt with rental agencies before, but I have never encountered one as unprofessional and arrogant as this one. My wife called them earlier to rent a house, and they spoke to her in a very bad tone and on top of that, they were racist to her. After hearing our names, Mr. Agent Daniel told her that we could not afford to rent and hung up the phone in her face. I do not find this at all professional.

Positive experience: I appreciate that the company follows due protocol and maintains reliability and transparency in its contracts, as these are qualities I value. That said, the referencing and approval process takes longer time than necessary, which creates difficulties. In addition, it seems that personal circumstances are not always taken into account when gathering references or handling requirements. While I understand the importance of adhering to procedures, a more flexible approach that considers individual situations would make the process more supportive and efficient. However, I commend Malik, for going out of his way to make adjustments whilst still maintaining professionalism. Also for being very kind, supportive and patient. He is a good customer agent.

Fantastic experience: Caitlin, Bilal and Malik have been very helpful in the process of moving. The best lettings agent in luton by far. Would 100% recommend.

Negative experience: As a landlord and using Leaders of Luton for a number of years, they were very disappointing to deal with the deposit which was owed to me after the tenant was in £11,000 in arrears and then I had to spend £15,000 in refurbishing the whole property. After showing them the evidence of the court proceeding to evict the tenant and the damage that I had to deal with, they still would not release the deposit. It’s taken me 6 months and a few threats for them to finally to release the deposit, no landlord should not go through with this hassle. I must say Richard Sharps was helpful, but the account department was just awful.
