Negative experience: DO NOT RENT. If you’re thinking of renting with these, here’s your sign not to. It’s very clear from the other bad reviews that there are recurring issues. My first sign should have been that they were more than an hour late to the viewing, stating they thought the tenant was going to show us around?? Why would the tenant do a viewing??? But it seems we were lucky someone showed up at all! I initially wrote a bad review years ago, and then had a call from Michael who was very nice but seemingly most interested in getting the review removed. Well, it’s obviously necessary to stay up because I recently had a friend go through the exact same issues I did. Never known such unprofessionalism! Keeping the deposit for issues that were present at start of tenancy, REFUSING to maintain the property, blaming the tenant to force them to repair it themselves. The only reason they have a good rating on here is because they serve the landlord, not the tenant. You’ll see the 5 star ratings are from sold properties. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Fantastic experience: Having sold my house this year with the team I can honestly say it’s been a great experience. With the support and interaction with the team with each viewer and then finally the buyer: It only took 11 weeks to sell: I am well pleased and recommend to go with this estate agency team: Great communication though out … from day one. Fantastic experience: A massive shout out to Chloe Baker who throughout the whole process of our sale, was tentative, helpful and always done extra to ensure everything went as smooth as it possibly could. At one stage during the sales process, our buyers pulled out purchasing our property. After several discussions with Chloe, she went back and liaised with the buyers and convinced them to continue with the purchase of the property. Chloe was an absolute diamond from start to finish. Positive experience: As a landowner they collect the rent and deal with maintenance issues for me. They usually respond to phone calls promptly. They deal with the tenants and resolve many issues without needing to involve me. I used them to sell a house recently and although there were numerous holdups caused by the buyer, Belvoir dealt with all the issues with patience and professionalism. I basically just left them to it.

Fantastic experience: I have found Belvoir to be reliable , informative and open to deal with. All the people I have dealt with are easy to communicate with, respond to queries and are happy to deal with any concerns. The first contact with Sam set the tone, the house listing was well produced and the property was marketed effectively. This has all been backed up by others such as Liam , Harvey and Heidi, who have kept me informed about progress. I also found Ashley James solicitors (recommended by Belvoir) pleasant to deal with. Negative experience: In the same industry my self for 15 years. Been rejected for a property, no reason given. Not even a call back after weeks, not even a response on email with a complaint! Utterly applauded with the customer service from all the staff in lettings, you’d think working in the same industry you’d help each other! THEY CLEARLY PICK AND CHOOSE THEIR OWN TENANTS. As discussed when we called, I must stress that every application was put forward to the landlord, the landlord and it was the landlords choice not to move forward with your application. The application the landlord did choose to move forward with did fall through and we did ask if you would like us to reach back out to you but they requested we re-list the property and find alternative applications.

Negative experience: My experience with Belvoir has been extremely disappointing. Despite completing the sale, I still haven't received the keys. Multiple calls to their office have yielded no results, and their lack of communication is appalling. Throughout the process, I was bombarded with calls for updates, given unreasonable deadlines, and practically threatened with the seller pulling out. Now, at the crucial moment of completion, I'm met with silence and no keys. This level of unprofessionalism from the estate agent is unacceptable. I urge potential buyers to think twice before choosing Belvoir.

I must clarify the points you have raised, as there seems to be a misunderstanding.
First of all, all communication with yourself during the sale process has been consistent and still is today. Our role is to get the property marketed and a sale agreed, and we continue our service to help each party with this, with the aim of a smooth transaction for everyone, however, the bulk of the work after the sale being agreed is with the solicitor.
Regarding the threat of the vendor withdrawing, the vendor gave a deadline by the end of January due to the length of time the transaction went on, as much as you weren't happy with the deadline, the vendor was equally as unhappy with the time the sale was taking. We updated you with the vendor’s intention to withdraw, and had we not updated you with this and the Vendor had withdrawn, you would have been unhappy for us not letting you know.
Finally, surrounding the completion date and keys, the vendor has not dropped keys to us despite our chasing each day since. Again, we facilitate a key handover, but without keys, our hands are tied. We have as much power getting you to collect the keys from our branch, if you didn't turn up, as we do with the vendor dropping the keys; all we can do is call. I have checked call logs from you, and we have not had any correspondence from you in this time.
It is unfortunate that you are dissatisfied, but all communication has been clear, and we will always help where we can and will continue to chase keys for you. However, your solicitor will be able to advise you more.

Negative experience: Beware tenants and neighbours of properties let by these people. I had a party wall knocked down in high winds in November 2021 and despite providing proof it's shared and confirming we're liable for half landlord is allowed to ignore all requests for repairs and Belvoir as the letting agency are allowing this. Poor tenants have an unsecured home and we are left with property needing repairs. Almost 2 years now and still no further on. This company feels its OK to let their landlords reduce the value of your property. Stay well clear. In response to the reply, there is plenty you could do to assist. You manage the property on behalf of the landlord, you won't provide me with the landlords details to take this up with them directly, you are the only link I have to the landlord and you will not act proactively in supporting the repair of a jointly owned brick wall on behalf of not only me but your tenants. The tenants have confirmed you are not helping them either. So, now almost 3 years later we still have a fallen wall and the tenants have an unsecured rear garden. I stand by my comments.

Negative experience: If i could put 0 stars i would, absolutely the worst tenancy agency i have ever had to deal with. They don't answer the phone, it literally rings and hangs up. I was overcharged on my electricity bill and they couldn't do anything because the apartment was privately owned so they were blaming the billing agent who also couldn't do anything because they management company didn't receive a notification from belvoir that my heaters weren't even working. Stacey was the one who i was in contact with and she was literally ignoring my emails and replying back as if she was using a template to respond to my emails. if i could describe in one word on my experience it would "shambles". DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL.

Fantastic experience: We have rented with Belvoir for the past two years. Unfortunately our landlord decided to sell & so we were served a Section 21 notice. This could have been the worst news in the world but with Stacey Robertson holding our hand & doing a brilliant job of communicating between us & the landlord we managed to extend the date a little to allow us time, in this very difficult market to find out perfect home. Once we had moved she continued to work hand to ensure all of our final bills & deposits were handled in good time. She has always made herself available any time we have had any questions & has really looked after our family. We couldn't have asked for a better experience of being evicted. We will always be grateful to Stacey & to Michael (the top boss) who even stepped in to help when things felt really difficult. I get it, it's up to the landlords discretion of who they want in, but I enquired as soon as a property went onto the market, I called and was told to speak to Jack, he then told me it was vacant, what that fast? I thought you was getting the place refurbished as your own email states that when you emailed it to me and that once you have keys, you will let me know. YET NOT even a week later you tell me it's been taken. Other estate agents always call or email me whether I'm successful or not. Fantastic experience: In 2023 we thought we had found our next and last "forever home", so eagerly got in touch with Belvoir to begin the process. It had been 47 years since I had been in this situation so you can see I was a little worried even nervous and definitely emotional! My fears were completely unnecessary, the staff at Belvoir were very sensitive to my feelings, they took time and care with me and I never at any time felt under any pressure. I felt comfortable, if I needed to ring a few times and never felt it was too stupid a question. All through the process I knew I had made a good choice to allow them to sell my home. Unfortunately I had to take it off the market, the property we wanted accepted a cash buyer. Belvoir staff were very understanding , fully explaining that we were under no obligation, financial or otherwise and that they would gladly help in the future if they could, no pressure to try and get us interested in another property, just commiserations. Fantastic experience: When I think of Belvoir, I think of Liam and Katy!! Liam went above and beyond to help me when I was at my lowest with a tough situation with a landlady, he was my oracle, he helped me get through a really tough time by being kind, professional and with good advice. Liam will never be forgotten, such a pleasant, genuine and empathetic lad and nothing is too much for him. This lad deserves so much. Katy every step of the way you had to deal with me, a complete pain in the backside!! I didn’t have a clue what to expect selling a house but this girl talked me through and held my hand throughout the process!! Professional, kind with loads of communication throughout. I could not have dealt with all this without the aid of you both. Fantastic experience: Liam is an absolute Legend!!! Contacted Belvoir with a complicated sale situation. I won’t mention how quick he got us a sale, because I don’t think anyone would believe it! But he procured us a quick sale, £20k above our asking price! So understanding and discrete, really broke the process down for us and accommodated our list of requests with no questions asked. Negative experience: Pretty poor experience with belvoir, we had been renting for 7 years from them and I don’t have any positives. The lack of communication is awful, unless they want something from you. On more than one occasion we have spoken to someone from the office who have said they would get back in touch regarding our enquiry, for us to have to keep chasing. Don’t expect any deposit back from them, they clearly don’t take proper inventory upon handing the house over. Aren’t clear on expectations regarding decorating and to top it off use the problems logged with them (that hadn’t been resolved) against us on departure.

Fantastic experience: Had a free valuation done recently by Sam. He was completely professional, polite, respectful and complimentary of my home and explained Belvoirs role simply. Free valuation was just out of interest so I know how much equity I have just incase I need to sell. There has been no pressure to pursue a sale from them unlike other agents have done in the past. Fantastic experience: Night and day difference between another estate agent I have used previously. Whereas other EA just seemed to be only concerned with selling the property asap with minimal effort on their part, and being pushy for me to accept offers as soon as they came in; Belvoir carried several viewings and then passed on all the offers received in an easy to understand email. At no point were they pushy and allowed me to dictate the process. Sam, Liam and Louise kept up good comms throughout the process and kept me updated at all stages. I would certainly recommend them to others.

It is unfortunate that you have taken the time to write this review, I can only presume you are not aware of all of the information.
We have done everything we can to assist and help the tenant of the property, we are certainly not trying to take any money that would not be lawfully due.
We of course cannot go into detail but providing the tenant consents we would be happy to speak with you and explain the situation.
As an agency we have tried to help and your relative is actually in a better position financially then he would have been should we not tried to help.
Hopefully we get the opportunity to speak so we can explain.

Negative experience: I rang up about a property to let on Friday afternoon and got booked in for the following Thursday at 5.30 gave all my details and then realised I had given the wrong mobile number by accident so rang back the following day to change my number and was told I wasn’t booked in for that time as they “don’t do late ones” I was booked in for Tuesday at 3pm which I would never of booked as I’m at work so went to cancel it as didn’t like the attitude of the staff member on the phone but then he hung up on me instead. So rude and very argumentative think I had a lucky escape!

It was my first experience of selling a property and it has been a completely painless process.
