Fantastic experience: Having instructed Peter James to handle the rental of a property for several years, I have been nothing less than completely satisfied with their services. Lucy and Kelly have handled every aspect of renting the property with 100% professionalism and attention to detail. I would recommend Peter James to anyone looking for a letting agency to manage their property on their behalf.

Negative experience: The most unprofessional and poorly managed agency. They were contacted to arrange a valuation 2weeks prior to appointment, all details shared and appointments qualified, only for a call a day before appointment to cancel as they don’t feel they have time to waste. Little did they know the appointment consisted of 2 additional homes also I wanted to sell. I have also had previous experience when viewing a property through this agent, when the person turned up 20 minutes late, no follow up and no proactiveness. From the 4 agents contacted in the Codsall area, by far these have been the worst. Berriman Eaton, Tidmarsh and WE were heads and shoulders above when it comes to true sales, service and professionalism. A name will only carry you so far, service speaks for itself!

Negative experience: Peter James estate agents are so rude and unprofessional, (especially the tall skinny lady) Firstly, they never answer the phone, and when they do, they have chip on their shoulder. Secondly, if you put in an offer, that they don't agree with, they start lecturing you, about how they know better and you can only offer what they think is acceptable, even though, by law they have to tell the seller of every offer (good or bad). They've rang me three times, just to argue with me. Absolutely ridiculous company. EDIT UPDATE: Well you unjustly claimed that I am misogynistic but failed to mention how your employee referred to me as, “little man,” as well as insulting my wife, saying that even she was horrible despite her remaining silent throughout the ordeal. You also failed to mention the spray foam insulation on the inside of the property’s roofing, renowned for causing wood rot and requiring replacements for the ridges and rafters which is easily £50,000. Insurance companies will categorically refuse a mortgage reflecting your own deceptive business dealings as your wife actively hid the tool to access the loft, withholding necessary information from potential buyers this is entirely unacceptable and I would hope that the actual buyer is aware of this. This property was initially priced at £550,000 so you evidently are not as skilled in the market as you like to believe. There were only three bedrooms, all in need of extensive renovation, with the kitchen and bathroom resembling a relic from the 1980s with an outdated heating system, questionable electrics and worn out carpets. I find it incredibly ironic that you wish to claim that I am a bigot when you implied that I am fraudulent for using a Western name for business dealings, when I informed you that this is due to issues I have had in the past with people struggling to pronounce my name, you shrugged me off and said, “yeah, yeah i know what you Indians are like,” as you know, “plenty of Indians.” You’re language is laden with archaic attitudes to foreigners, which was made clear to me when your wife was pleasant over the phone and upon seeing her in person, she became incredibly standoffish, hostile and intentionally inflammatory. As an employee of a business, regardless of gender, a certain degree of respect is expected from employees which certainly does not include rolling your eyes, being offended when a buyer raises concerns about a property nor being irritated at having to be present at a viewing. It is simply unfair to claim misogyny when I would have had the exact same response if she was a male employee, constantly speaking over customers and actively degrading them at every given opportunity. Rather than resolve the issue like a responsible business owner, you instead chose to call me in the morning, ranting at me and further provoking the situation. Your volatility is a poor attribute in business and I hope that instead of taking any more offence from this interaction, you chose to actually take this on board with your team. I’ve previously seen your responses to other potential buyers and it’s incredibly juvenile to constantly accuse customers of being fraudulent and contentious instead of gracefully taking the valid criticisms made.

Fantastic experience: A real top class firm of Estate Agents. Having had "Priorsfield" on the market for over a year with another Estate Agent and no success we felt that a fresh approach was needed, This proved to be exactly the right decision. Within 6 weeks we had a buyer albeit not an easy one but nevertheless with guidance all the way through a successful sale was achieved. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful throughout, guiding us gently what at times felt like a very difficult transaction. Fantastic experience: Peter James property are best. They’ve sold for us twice now which is obviously testament to our belief in them and their performance. This last time has been very challenging insofar as the other protagonists in the chain needed a bit of a push (understatement ). The initial viewings were with Grace who is extremely charming, knowledgeable and compelling. Negative experience: **⭐ 1 Star – Absolutely Appalling Service** I am beyond disappointed with the way Peter James Property has handled my issue. My electricity fuse went down *for the second time this week*, leaving me with **no heating or gas**. When I called for help, instead of urgency or concern, I was questioned about why I was calling at 5:25 PM—clearly because they finish at 5:30 and just wanted to go home. I have **two small children (3 and 1 years old)**, and despite the fact that they could *hear my baby crying in the background*, they showed **zero consideration**. If I was late on a payment, they wouldn’t hesitate to chase me, but when it comes to them doing their job, they act like it’s an inconvenience. Yes, they’re sending someone **tomorrow**, but what about *tonight*? How am I supposed to manage with no heating for my children? Terrible service, no empathy, and no urgency when it truly matters. I will be taking this further. **Avoid this company if you expect even the slightest bit of care or professionalism!**

Negative experience: Asked for a market appraisal for a rented property on 10/06/2024 was promised a callback from Peter on two occasions with no joy to date. Is it any wonder the tenant's refused to engage with the agency hence leaving me to manage the investment 4 years ago. After the owner's response, I would like to say this is a lie, I am not obliged to sell my investment to the tenants in situ and this is breach of my GDPR as I requested Peter NOT to disclose any information or figures but this wasn't the case. Not trustworthy or reputable at all hence I leave Nick Tart to manage my investments from now on.

Negative experience: I wanted to share my experience with Peter James estate agents. As tenants, we expected to be treated with respect and have our needs considered. Unfortunately, that hasn't been the case. They have shown a lack of respect for our privacy and disrupted our sleep by scheduling property viewings during our designated quiet hours. Fantastic experience: Got to say the whole team at PJP ( and our own PJP contact Julie) have and were so helpful in our efforts to secure an efficient purchase. Being proactive was the key to pushing the legal side through with speed. As we know Solicitors are busy and a polite chase up and push does no harm , PJP did that with both legals on the sale and purchase. What was also welcomed was the relationship PJP had with my own sale agent - the communication there did ease the stress on us and as a consequence our own purchasers. Never had such a team working for the benefit of all from sale , purchase and related purchases down the chain. Five stars + all round.
