Negative experience: DO NOT TRUST THIER WORD FOR IT WRITE A CHECKLIST OF THE SMALLEST TO THE BIGGEST AND ENSURE YOU HAVE THEM ALL BEFORE YOU HAND ANY MONEY OVER! Paul is disgusting and they are liars! Told me they had the keys and then the day of collection no keys! I asked for the EPH box they hang up and the actual partners straight away was able to assist and ask the previous owners! Hope one of your siblings, mother or farther feel some karma for your nasty behaviour and disgusting customer service and the problems you cause people!

Negative experience: After working in the industry myself for 5 years I have a good understanding of how an estate agency should operate and this is the poorest outfit I have ever come across, at the start of the tenancy they left us without an oven for 35 days and basically just fobbed it off as the landlord and tradesman's fault which in turn cost us an arm and leg in food after we had just jumped through hoops to pay 6 months rent upfront to secure the flat, we then had an awful leak at Christmas which was still not fixed in the middle of March (this is a health risk as well as a nightmare to live with, the whole hallway was soaked). Then the boiler exploded on the 18th of April while I was visiting home, the agents failed to notify me that this had happened even though they knew and I only discovered this when i returned 2 days later to the whole flat flooded, the agents also lied about calling myself and my flatmate we even sent them our call logs and they just fobbed it off... i honestly cant even put into words how unprofessional and poor this company has been throughout our tenancy and to top it off they have now tried to charge us £1000 of our deposit to replace a single mid spec carpet for a small mark which was caused accidentally. This is complete betterment. The flat was uninhabitable due to the leak and we were unable to live there for 18 days of which we have not received our rent or any compensation back for, we are both busy people who have tried to be fair and liase with the agents on numerous occasions but trying to speak to them is like talking to a brick wall. I am now going to have to waste more time taking legal action to sort this out due to the agents incompetency to deal with it themselves. After nearly 2 months of waiting for my deposit to be returned mid cost of living crisis the deposit has finally been returned, Liberty Gate or Leaders whatever you are called, you are the single worst agency i have ever dealt with. The fact I have still been robbed of £185 'cleaning charge' when I wasn't even able to live in the flat due to flooding for the final 18 days of the tenancy is absolutely disgusting. The landlord still owes me 18 days rent but this agency have just completed fobbed me off since i moved out as unless there is money involved for them they could not care less. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Negative experience: Absolutely awful agency – avoid at all costs. From day one, this agency was unprofessional: left me waiting 30 mins for my key, Joelle failed to mention the NDO had a monthly fee, and their “all bills included” contract turned out to be a “mistake” that cost me a large sum I’m still owed. Ellie conveniently left right when she was supposed to update me on my reimbursement, and Charlie Smith even hinted at ending my tenancy early – effectively trying to kick me out and not own up to their mistake. Dishonest, disorganised, and utterly untrustworthy.

Fantastic experience: I rarely take the time to leave reviews but it felt particularly important to me to make the effort to leave a review for Alexandra and her team at leaders. Having previous experience, I know just how brutal the renting market can be in Nottingham, but Alexandra made the effort to understand what I was looking for and I felt she genuinely wanted to help rather than just tick a box. From dealing with more agencies than I can count on my hands, Alexandra at Leaders was by far the most genuinely interested in what I wanted in a property. I received multiple courtesy calls before my viewing so I knew exactly where I was going and what was going to happen, which is really valuable when you are going through the process of a lot of house viewings. Negative experience: If you want someone to manage your property then DO NOT choose leaders. They are unprofessional and incompetent from the rental team to the sales team. They took months to sort out simple tasks that required me to chase them. They added stress and added to my work load when I delegated to them to make my life easier. I would not use them again or recommend to any family or friend member.

Fantastic experience: If you're looking for an agent who’s efficient, down to earth, and won’t vanish the moment you sign, Alexandra’s the one. Highly recommended. If renting were an Olympic sport, Alexandra would’ve taken gold and probably still had time to help the silver medallist with their paperwork. Above all, Alexandra made the whole process feel easy which, let’s be honest, is not something most people say about moving house. She’s professional, approachable, and has a great sense of humour although she doesn't reply to her Instagram dms.

Positive experience: Very detailed explanation by Owen who showed me around the flat that I ended up renting in Nottingham. Definitely put our mind at ease. The flat was also very clean and presented well. The only issue we had was with the referencing as this was quite long winded and did leave things until the very last minute to have us collect the keys. This being said, we viewed on the Friday and it was bank holiday on the Monday so just bare this in mind.

Negative experience: Letting agent did not show up for an evaluation appointment (multiple households arranged their schedule for the meeting and waited almost 2 hours). No prior communication, no texts or email reminders ahead of appointment and when chased on the day, absolutely no response. Contacted office to inform the next working day; again completely unapologetic and offered no response - literally ignored by the manager. Potential landlords - stay away.

Fantastic experience: I am currently trying to sell my house with leaders, although the process is slow I've been helped massively by the team at the Nottingham branch (Paul and Leah). Excellent customer service, prompt email communication and openness is what I have experienced while selling with this company and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to sell in this area.

Negative experience: Had the unfortunate experience of dealing with this agent for a property in West Bridgford. Which is not local to them. The agent first turned up late, I had to call them after 5 mins after my appointment slot to confirm they are still coming. His name was James. He’s now moved to Holden Copley I am informed. I wonder why? I then spoke to Leah. She was good, But I was put through to a manager called Paul Unwin. I offered considerably over the asking price on a property. I provided my AIP and proof of funds on the same day. I was the first person to view. I believe they have not put my offer forwards to the vendor, nor have they contacted me back over 2 weeks later. To make any further offers. Now I believe they have sold the property to someone in house! Friend or family. Rubbish agent. I will never do business with them again. Stay away from them!

Negative experience: Absolutely shockingly appalling experience with Leaders. My wife and I found a property and called on a Saturday to schedule a viewing for the following Thursday. We were told it was a popular property but we had the first available viewing. We thought this would give us the opportunity to apply first. On Tuesday my wife noticed the property was no longer available online. No call or email from Leaders. Midday Wednesday they still hadn’t informed us our viewing had been cancelled so I had to call them and they confirmed someone else had rented it (how? We were told we had the first viewing). Then they called me twice more while I was at work to tell me the viewing had been cancelled and ask if I want to view other properties from them. Clearly absolutely zero communication between their employees. The following Monday we noticed the property was listed again. Of course we were wary from our previous experience, but we really liked the property so tried again. I called on Monday and was told I was the first person to reach out and they hadn’t even begun calling people back yet. Great, tried to schedule a viewing and was told they couldn’t get ahold of the current tenants to see when they’d be available, but he emailed me directly to keep in touch when he was able to schedule the viewing. By 430 on Tuesday I still hadn’t heard back, so I called and was told the tenant wasn’t available all week, but Monday would be the first available viewing. This time I asked if we could apply outright now or reserve it somehow. Was told no, they are not allowed to let it until we’ve viewed it, but rest assured we’re the first viewing. Well today, Monday, a half hour before our viewing was scheduled we get a call letting us know it’s been cancelled as the property has been let. How? How could it be let if we had the first viewing and you’re not allowed to let it without someone viewing it? I was told “I guess someone had already booked a viewing for Saturday”. When I was told I was the first person to speak to them after it became available the second time and that I had the first viewing. So now I’m sure they’re just flat out lying to me, wasting my time and my wife’s, and having me waste two days off work just to be cancelled at the last minute. And then to really drive home their unprofessional practices, I get a text 10 minutes later stating I’m booked in for a viewing tomorrow at another property. When I called to ask why they say someone called “Catherine” called from an anonymous number and booked a viewing on behalf of her sister, my wife, and put my number down as the contact. The agent even confirmed my name and my wife’s name. Now, not only is my wife an only child, but neither of us even know anyone called Catherine. So best case scenario they are booking new viewings on our behalf using our information without our consent and then once again lying to us and making up a whole fake person and story to explain it (poorly), or worst case they have a SERIOUS data privacy issue. And a very odd woman who books viewings for strangers. I know this was too long, but to summarize Leaders are poorly managed, don’t communicate with each-other or potential tenants, and at the risk of sounding overly dramatic, flat out liars. Completely untrustworthy and sketchy company.

Fantastic experience: When my wife and I first got to this country, Haart was our lettings agency. Now that we are with Leaders we realised that we were not getting very good customer service from Haart. We are totally ecstatic with this switch and the guidance, application process and quick responses from Leaders. I am sure all the agents here are superb, but shoutout to Kulvinder - he is a legend at what he does!

Negative experience: Title: Appalling Service and Breach of Contract Review: I rented a property from Leaders Nottingham with a move-in date of November 28th, expecting it to be ready and habitable as promised. Instead, I arrived to find the property in an utterly uninhabitable condition: Construction debris, mold, and garbage were everywhere, both inside and outside the property. Repairs were incomplete, with hanging wires and unusable facilities such as a broken sink and bathroom appliances. The property was a health hazard, completely unfit for living. Despite providing detailed evidence (photos and videos) to the agency, my complaints were dismissed as "minor inconveniences." The agent I was in contact with, Jamile, has repeatedly dodged my calls and emails, and when I call the office, I am told he is "in a meeting with a client." Over a week has passed, and the agency has offered no resolution, no compensation, and instead demands a £540 termination fee and rent payments for a property I cannot use. This experience has caused me significant financial losses, including paying for temporary accommodation, pet care, storage, and rearranged movers. The negligence and unprofessionalism displayed by this agency are appalling. I strongly advise against renting with Leaders Nottingham if you value transparency, accountability, or basic professionalism. The pictures I provided are just some of the issues. There were far worst things which I couldn't upload because they were in video format. Keep in mind these were taken the moment I stepped into the property.

Negative experience: Unprofessional, negligent and unreliable. Leaders will take on a house, but do not monitor the state of it. There is zero concern for safety, hygiene and tenant wellbeing. As a fourth year uni student, I have never experienced anything like this. The state of the house on move in day was atrocious and it hasn’t got much better after raising concerns 4 weeks ago and counting, with next to no communication. Would not recommend.

Fantastic experience: Called today to book a property viewing and spoke to Kulvinder Landa. He was professional, helpful and cheery. Fingers crossed that the viewing goes well and my future dealings with Leaders are just as positive.

Negative experience: Do NOT sign fixed term contracts! this agency works with commercial landlords who have those watertight 12-month FIXED contracts without a break clause. That means you cannot move out even if the flat has issues that come out after you move in. I was not able to move out easily and when I finally did, the landlord still wanted the remaining rent of £4000 even when they got a new tenant!? But they were silent when I complained about the state of the apartment. It's outrageous. There is a lot of pressure on tenants to find accommodation quickly but if your contract does not have a break clause allowing you to move, do not sign it. Find a private landlord a bit further from the centre and save yourself a lot of stress. The Liberty Gate staff is professional but the contract is so unreasonable that it should NEVER exist so I regret not realising that the contract is not with them but with a ruthless company that probably owns many apartments and they simply don't care about anything if it's not in the contract. Read the contract and if it's one of those, walk away. If students and professionals refuse to sign unreasonable conditions, they will have to put pressure back on landlords.

CJ has been an absolute champ, was very honest and made sure I asked all the right questions and had things sorted out. Would definitely recommend.

Negative experience: Absolutely appalling. If you're a landlord I would avoid at all costs. I have been using their rent collect service for 3 years. They have tried to sneak on additional charges to my statements, not once but twice. They are terrible at finding tenants. They told me they had secured a tenant and on the day she was moving in, told me she didn't pass her referencing, but still strong armed me into letting her move in, 6 months later she couldn't pay rent and had to move out. After that they didn't find me another tenant and left the room empty for 5 months, until I finally decided to take my business elsewhere. Oh and when you do try to leave they squeeze you for all the money they can.
