Negative experience: We had a disappointing experience with the way our application was handled by Amelia. From the beginning, we were encouraged to proceed and submit an offer, with the impression that things were moving forward positively. Based on this, we acted quickly and in good faith. However, after submitting our offer, the process changed unexpectedly, and we were informed that further viewings would continue before any decision would be made. While we understand that landlords may wish to consider multiple applicants, the lack of clear guidance and inconsistent communication from Amelia made the process feel unclear and, at times, misleading. As prospective tenants on a tight relocation timeline, clear and consistent communication is extremely important. Unfortunately, we felt that the process was not managed in a way that reflected this. We hope that in future, applicants are given clearer expectations and guidance from the outset to avoid unnecessary uncertainty and inconvenience.

Negative experience: Would leave a 0 score Poor communications through the tennancy Allow the landlords to keep deposits as they don't have a back bone to get stuff for tenants So they end up loosing out constantly. Never rent a place from these guys numerously asked for paperwork and evidence of stuff never ever give despite always chasing. They take your money 0 intrest in belong you have issues sorted in the property with landlords and then end of tennacy they act like they don't know you and don't give a hoot. Appealing all round and never ever use these. Worse type of people and how andy is manager when he can't even send forms or proof of stuff to help deposits back. Because they are in the landlords pocket. Have lost over £600 due to there incompetence.

Fantastic experience: I doth my cap to the team at King and Chasemore, Chichester. They have restored my faith in Lettings Agents and property management. Having previously received superb customer service from an agency in Littlehampton, I have found there to be a lacklustre service from subsequent competitors. Tenants appear to be a nuisance. On one particular viewing through another company recently, I was told to ‘Have a look around’ (yawn), and ‘fill in the form if you’re interested’ (sigh). The agent bordered on the brink of abject boredom when I asked him one or two pertinent questions. These he glibly responded to whilst ushering me towards the door following a tour which lasted approximately three minutes. This behaviour is not a raison d’être of current soaring tenant demand, but a common experience which I have encountered over many years. So it was an extremely pleasant surprise to meet Jessica Allnutt, Senior Lettings Negotiator, at King and Chasemore, Chichester – a breath of fresh air. I was struck by her professionalism. Also her extremely courteous, friendly (and dare I say it), caring attitude. Subsequent revisits to the property, constant communication from me to Jessica and Andrew Mundy (Executive Branch Manager), were all met with the same 'nothing is too much trouble' approach. I am moving in to my new home over the weekend and thoroughly looking forward to it - the help I have received from Jessica and the team is exemplary. If you are looking to rent, I would highly recommend this agent. She goes above and beyond the service offered by her competitors.

Fantastic experience: We are new expats in the UK and just made one call to K&C over a listing they had with Zero hope of any response. Now it’s two weeks and we are about to move in and I think it’s because they went beyond their call of duty, moved mountains to help us in EVERY step of the way even though our rental was of microscopic value compared to the large properties they manage. There’s customer service and there’s customer service, Jess and her coworkers offer the latter. Messed up end of last tenant contract costing me money to repair damage done by tenant. Poor communication. They don’t answer the phone or emails. Poor customer service. They know that they have made mistakes but have made no attempt to fix this. All in all I would not recommend this estate agent if you are looking to rent out your property. Save your money go elsewhere.
