Negative experience: I was a client of Millard for almost five years, and unfortunately my experience ended very badly. After years of renting without major issues, I was suddenly informed that the property had been sold and that I needed to move out within a very short time. This came as a shock, especially after such a long tenancy. I was told that once I moved out, my deposit would be returned. However, after I left the property, Millard created multiple excuses to avoid returning my deposit, despite their earlier promises. Later, I found out that the property was rented out again, which makes the situation even more disappointing and unfair. Based on my experience, tenants should be very careful. You can be asked to leave the property at any time, and promises regarding your deposit may not be honored. If you ever need to move out, I strongly advise making sure you receive your deposit before leaving, as they may later find reasons not to return it. I would not trust this company again and do not recommend them to others.

Negative experience: Regardless to the fact that they ask you to rate them with 5-stars when you first move-in. They really need to step up their game in assisting their tenants. Unfortunately, when I decided to move-out, they were uncooperative and took side with the horrible landlord trying to suck out every last penny out of the deposite. Gladly, I said no and asked SafeScotlandDeposite to investigate the situation. A third party (external investigator) looked at the claim and released my money back to me.

Negative experience: Disrespectful and uncooperative staff. Edit: They also try to make you take down the review, and if that doesn't work (like in my case) they leave a comment underneath it in an attempt to delegitimize the negative feedback. To Milards: you know full well what this is about, because after I had posted the review, your owner called me and we had a lengthy conversation about the issue. You are commenting over a year later because you were hoping I wouldn't notice it and in turn you'd be able to invalidate my review in future readers' eyes. Shame on you!

Fantastic experience: Great experience with Milards! Anytime we had any sort of problem it was fixed within a day or two as they were very responsive. Whenever an appliance broke down it was replaced with a brand new one immediately. Communication was always easy, friendly and professional and they always had us in their best interest. Entire renting process has been great and stress free which we really appreciate. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I was searching for a rental from overseas. I tried to book viewings online and called multiple different Lettings agencies - it was becoming difficult to view or secure somewhere. Only a few agencies were very polite and helpful. The milard team were definitely one of them. They where very responsive via telephone and e-mail. I secured the perfect place for me and the team were very flexible, efficient and effective in the process. Very happy with the service. As a landlord also, I would use them as a property management team if I owned in their area.

As a student from India, other agencies have straight up refused to help us out.. but Milards was there every step of the way helping us. Once I found an apartment I liked, all other processes happened so quick- I shifted there in 3 days! Special mention to Craig, who was the one who showed me the apartment and helped move things along. Any issues with the apartment and he would resolve it asap. We have never done this before and where expecting that getting all the health and safety checks done and finding tennents might take a few months. But we literally got our keys on the Friday and had people moving in the next Monday. We have had great communication. I actually can’t think of one thing I would change. Couldn’t recommend them more.

It was my very first house viewing ever and he took time to explain to me how loans work in Edinburgh, what to ask, what to be careful about and other tips and tricks. Also he did this after I told him that I was not going to loan the house! People who take time to help others are rare today, but some still exist apparently. I would definitely ask about him to the agency if I had to loan a Millards house. 5 stars but I would give him 10!
