Fantastic experience: Initially we found Halliday Homes via Rightmove when searching for properties in the Stirling area. After narrowing our search criteria to 3 areas of Stirling we soon realised that Halliday were the most popular estate agents for those areas. Negative experience: Have never experienced a more pompous and yet simultaneously useless estate agent in my life. I can only presume the time they’re meant to spend actually doing any work or following any legal frameworks has been spent jelling back their hair or picking out gawdy, ill fitting suits. The pretence of a “high end” estate agency is only that, a pretence. **always happy to edit. We had no issue with Safe deposit Scotland, and in fact the whole process made your employee’s seem even more inept. Perhaps it was the fact you missed entire rooms in your check in report due to the fact you use a 3rd party (something someone else has already complained about) Or perhaps it was that you claimed a professional clean had been done prior to us moving in in September, when in fact the clean had been done in January. Almost all the points made via deposit Scotland were proved to be false. Shall we also discuss the fact that Halliday Homes drew up the agreement of the previous tenant (and elderly lady) for the landlord, before he went and made her homeless, claiming the exact same thing about selling. Shall we mention that Halliday Homes then did act illegally by allowing another tenant to go into the property, lying to us until we learned the truth from our neighbours, about the same time the landlord decided that again he had to sell. Shall we talk about the fact one of your employee’s referred to me in a mysogynistic way as “ratty” when I complained it took 3 months to have a leak in the bath and toilet repaired. We could have stayed in the property but then we would have had to carry on dealing with yourselves as estate agents. Something I really don’t wish on anyone. So Austin, perhaps spend more time actually training your employee’s, or sending yourself on a customer service course, rather than desperately trying to phone me up to demand I take this review down without a hint of apology, or trying and failing to suggest I’m in anyway scamming council tax. After all, if you had phoned me up to apologise and recognise that things happened that you regretted, as they sometimes do, I would have been more than happy to amend this. Unfortunately all that is happened is I have had to further explain why exactly you are 1 star.

Fantastic experience: I had to sell my late father's house in Bridge of Allan which is 50 miles from where I live. Austin met me there to discuss what Halliday Homes could offer and it very much suited my requirements being a remote seller of an empty property. I dealt with Marie who was very proactive and frequently in contact. If Marie wasn't available, other team members were usually up-to-speed with the sale. Also, messages left were passed on quickly to Marie and answered. Pulling together the home report was done quickly. One offer was made after about a month on the market. Unfortunately that fell through when the buyer could not secure finance. This did not stop the team at Halliday Homes kicking back into action for a second time and securing a second offer which completed. I would highly recommend the team at Halliday Homes for making the process smooth and stress-free.

Fantastic experience: Very helpful with the purchase of flat in Bridge of Allen- any detail was not too much trouble- they went the extra mile. When purchase was completed they left a lovely welcome hamper in the flat. And still helped with any question's.
