Fantastic experience: We had a great experience with Hunters Leigh from start to finish. They worked efficiently and responded quickly to all of our enquiries, making the whole process as smooth as possible. A special thank you to Antonia, who went above and beyond to help us when we encountered a few difficulties. Her support, was greatly appreciated. We wouldn’t hesitate to use them again and would happily recommend them to others.

Negative experience: Overall, I was disappointed with the level of service I received during the sale of my property. The process didn’t get off to a great start. The property advert was published without including details I had specifically asked to be added. Before that, I had arranged to take my lunch break at work so the photographer could access the property, but they arrived around 25 minutes late. I wasn’t contacted to let me know they were running behind, which meant I was left waiting during my break. I also ended up conducting most of the viewings myself because there was limited availability from the estate agent, particularly outside of standard working hours, which is when many prospective buyers wanted to view. On one Saturday, I rearranged my day before attending a wedding to carry out two viewings, but neither buyer turned up. While I appreciate that no-shows are outside the estate agent’s control, I felt that confirming appointments with buyers beforehand would have helped avoid unnecessary inconvenience. Following this, I specifically asked for another viewing appointment to be confirmed in advance, as I didn’t want a repeat of the previous situation. Unfortunately, there was confusion over the appointment time in the email correspondence, which didn’t fill me with confidence. The viewer did attend in the end, but I felt I had to prompt the estate agent to chase and confirm appointments when I believe this should have been managed as part of the service. After my property sold in February, communication became very limited. I rarely received updates unless I contacted the estate agent first. By April, I stopped chasing and dealt directly with my solicitor instead, as I wasn’t receiving any proactive communication. From April until completion in June, I heard nothing from the estate agent. On the day contracts were exchanged, I was informed by my solicitor first, with the estate agent calling afterwards. Thankfully, the sale completed successfully, but overall I found the communication and customer service lacking throughout. I would have expected more proactive updates, better organisation, and clearer communication during what is a significant process. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I wouldn’t choose to use this estate agent again.

Fantastic experience: Used them to buy my first house and to sell and buy my second. I would 100% recommend! They are personal and lovely. Easy to get hold of (which is important when you want updates!) lovely family and want to make sure others use them too

Fantastic experience: I have had the best experience ever during my whole time of renting with hunters in Leigh and all the staff in the office are extremely helpful and efficient. Hunters would always be my number one choice whether it's buying or renting. And a massive thank you to Antonia the manager for everything.

Negative experience: ⭐☆☆☆☆ 1 star (would give 0 if I could) Absolutely awful experience with Hunters in Leigh – especially Antonia. Completely disorganised from start to finish. Her inability to do basic counting nearly cost me money – it felt like I was being scammed. The whole process was a shambles, creating more hassle than help. They sent me two different invoices for two completely different addresses, including someone else's bank details – a shocking breach of data protection. If that’s what they’re doing with sensitive information, it’s frightening to think what other errors are slipping through. They failed to meet key parts of their contract, including regular property checks. When I asked for records, they couldn’t even find them! How they’re still in business is beyond me. Avoid at all costs. Double-check every single document, because they clearly won’t. Pure rubbish service.

Mark showed us around the house and was able to negotiate our offer to the seller which we are extremely grateful for. Fantastic experience: Hunters was one of 3 Extate agents I asked to value the property .Mark was the most thorough of the 3 agents and really had a good look around the property and took in all the good selling points which I think the others missed . He. Gave me a realistic view of the market and his valuation was slightly below the other 2 but perhaps more realistic at the time . Communication with the girls in the office was good and we got a buyer a few months later for more or less the asking price . All went to plan even though sales were taking longer than normal at the time . I Was particularly impressed with the support and assistance from hunters to get it over the finish line when tight deadlines were imposed by the buyer Overall a great service and would recommend

Negative experience: Mark Littlewood from Hunters Estate Agent what a salesman! Firstly, he will overprice your house, ours was overpriced by 75K in comparison to other estate agents, he will tell you he can sell your house and get the most for it. He will tell you he has a waitlist of people waiting for houses in your sought-after area, that he has a list of potential cash and Chinese buyers and that he will take drone shots of your home and have open days to get people through your door. He will tell you his sales fee like you’re getting a fabulous deal (but don’t tell anyone any other vendors you may be having in to value) its 1% by the way and the same as everyone else. He will tell you if you need to take your house off the market it’s not a problem. When we approached Hunters and requested, we take off the market with them because we wanted to use another estate agent due to service, Mark Littlewood then became hostile and threw various threats at us. Think long and hard before using Hunters.

Fantastic experience: As a landlord, finding new tenants can be a stressful experience. Hunters in Leigh provide an excellent service for a fair price that makes it a stress-free process. Very knowledgeable and pro-active team, I would definitely recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Viewed a property with Hunters, communication was very good. On viewing, any questions that i had where answered very well. I was very pleased with everything and as soon as I said that i was interested they dealt with everything. they kept me in touch with where the application was, and gave me a moving in date that was workable for me and my family. Some agents want you in as soon as they can but my circumstances where slighty different, but they worked with me on it. The staff are fantasic and i have no doubt anyone dealing with them will get 100% customer satisfaction. A big thank you goes out to Antonia for her professionalism dealing with everything

Fantastic experience: Hunters Leigh have been fantastic so far, we had our initial buyer pull out but they we're quick to help resolve the issues and calm me down, securing another buyer within a few days. Mark has answered numerous calls from me when I have been having a meltdown (often out of hours) and has been a constant support in the process up to now. I have dealt with many estate agents in the past, and I have not yet come across a branch manager as good as Antonia. She always calls and leaves voicemails to keep me updated, and responds to any emails in record speed. Not the typical estate agent who sits on emails for days on end. Thank you for your help so far!

Negative experience: Secured a buyer fairly quickly but that's where the service seems to end. Nice people but I am now totally fed up with the lack of communication and action in chasing completion of a sale that has been going on for 7 months.

Negative experience: Booked for a valuation at 1.30, got a call at 11.30 to say they can't make it as short staffed, whilst I understand in this current climate people are short staffed, a call the day before or even in the morning so I didn't waste my time waiting in would of been nice.

Fantastic experience: Mark, Antonia and Melanie at Hunters are 1st rate, professional and extremely, very helpful. I decided to sell my late father home through them and not once did I regret this decision. They gave good, sound advise from the very start. Within 24 hours I had the first of many viewings. There was lots of interests and lots if viewings. Through the process which included the covid19, they kept me up to date. When a viewing was booked I received an email. But where they excelled was providing a back channel of communication between myself and my buyer. I had a very poor solicitor and the buyers solicitor was also very poor and really dragging this process out. Thankfully, Hunters allowed me as the seller and my buyer to kick our lazy arse solicitors up the backside so we were able to complete the sale. I cannot recommend Hunters of Leigh enough. They made a stressful situation a lot easier by going above and beyond. 1st rate Estate Agents a great shame my solicitor wasn't as good as them. An awesome team, Hunters of Leigh!
