Negative experience: Mean people

Negative experience: I rented a property for 6.5 years with them and paid the better part of £50,000 in rent with them. During the last 1.5 years, a new next door neighbour moved in and started making demands which we accommodated, then they started making more and more demands. The position thereafter of Jubb & Co was to side with them, despite documentary evidence and historical experience that the previous neighbours we were absolutely fine with, and the other side we had a great relationship with. Yes, we had an issue of looking after the garden to the landlord's standard, but again - this was addressed and we completely overhauled the garden to ensure that this would be okay. We received our bond back in full because we ensured that we completed polished the property when we left. On moving to a new property, they provided us with a positive reference. Thereafter our new landlord was a complete disgrace (which is nothing to do with Jubb & Co) not addressing any issues and leaving us without heating for 2 weeks, not to mention the problem of CO poisoning and that they were not actioning and putting the phone down on us. Again, not Jubb & Co issue. However, when I decided that I had to move in order to protect my family, I reached out to Jubb & Co asking for a reference which they refused to give, citing problems with my previously occupancy and that they were not obligation to provide any references. Whilst I accept the latter issue, the former issue was addressed in full and given the amount of money which I released in order to occupy the property in question and they had provided a reference previously, I did not see it as an issue. I did not get kicked out of the property, I followed the rules and their guidance/requests and ultimately, they could not be bothered to give me a second of their time in order to show me a little mutual respect.

Negative experience: Worst experience ever!A house good for a horror movie, full of dump, cold...The ladies from the agency where nice with us only until receiving the keys, until that no support in 5 years of staying in one of there houses...And on the end of the tenancy no deposit back.

Negative experience: one star is too much but i cant put none.we arranged a viewing for a property but the day we was viewing was told we couldnt view because there had been a mix up and the property had already gone joke of a company

Fantastic experience: My property has been let through Jubb & Co for around 9 years and in that time I've never experienced anything other than professionalism and honesty from their perspective. During this time my property has suffered damage at the hands of a tenant, however they went above and beyond to ensure that repairs where carried out in a timely manner over the festive period so we could resume rental in the new year. They are knowledgeable, polite , and helpful and I would recommend their company to both tenants and landlords alike.

Negative experience: Very poor service. Booked an appointment to view a property. Was told a few had viewed but no one had applied. Lady told me she would contact me if the house was no longer available. No more info given. Rang on morning of appointment as no one turned up to show round to be told that I should have confirmed at 9 am (lady never told me to do so) and to also be told that the house was no longer available anyway. After taking time out of work to view this property at a time that was ‘better for them’ not myself, disappointed. Very unprofessional estate agents.

They have contact me promptly when any concerns have arose with the property and carryout any work needed quickly and to a much higher standard than if I was to arrange contractors myself. Positive experience: small but efficient. limited parking available behind the building

Negative experience: perfectly happy to let us a property which turned out to be riddled with damp and mould, did absolutely nothing to help get the situation rectified. Blamed lack of action entirely on the landlord, not professional at all. All suggestions of economic ways to address issues were ignored. Inspected property whilst we lived there, agreed damp and mould issues were bad and were a health hazard and still nothing was done. Company was told repeatedly about pipe which was leaking raw sewage as part of the larger problem with the collapsed drain under the yard and again, we were ignored. This went on until the pipe burst and spewed raw sewage across the yard and our back door. No out of hours emergency contacts given so there was no way for us to contact their approved plumber to deal with it. Only dealt with this when informed that if they didn't we would call a plumber and either bill them or take it out of the rent. Attempted to illegally withhold deposit when told we were leaving their falling down, health hazard of a property. Needless to say, they did not succeed. So glad to see the back of this useless bunch!

Negative experience: Applied for house was told it was a first come first serve basis, we were told that they wanted someone moving in quickly and it was close to the deadline for us to put in our months notice for our current house. We waited over the weekend and called to finalise some things they needed for the application at that point I asked about how long references and things would take as our notice deadline was one that day and we werent sure whether to put in the notice or not she said we would be fine as long as we didn't lie on our application but she would contact the landlord to make sure our application would be ok and call us back after lunch, didn't get the call so called back around 4:30 to be told that they have emailed the landlord to find out but that also another application had been put in for this so we were completely left in the dark whether we could put in our notice, we ended up having to going off faith of what I was told as long as we hadn't lied we will be fine, called back this morning been told there still wasn't an answer and when I asked about the other application I was told we will let you know if the other person gets it's which I thought was wonderful that she neglected to mention this before that it now wasn't first come first serve, around 4pm today looked on rightmove and it showed let agreed called Jubba and they have said that the landlord has picked the other application, hubby and co are absolutely useless never did anything that they said they would and now we've got to see if we can do anything about the notice I've put in to the landlord because of this useless companies inability to do what they say they will !!!!!!

Negative experience: I applied for a house advertised by Jubb. Me and my partner, a young professional couple, were made to jump through hoops for three weeks while they made promises to contact us, which they broke repeatedly, and when contacted became increasingly rude. We didn't get the house we had put an application in for (which by the end was a relief) As it turns out, my family know the land lady of the property in question (who they painted in a terrible light throughout). I suspect at best that there is a level of nepotism in this company which seems to affect both potential tennants and land lords at a reward only for the people who work at Jubb, at worst, something more sinister. I would highly reccomend using another estate agent if you are looking for a tenancy or an agency to manage your property.
