Negative experience: TailorMade Moves – Extremely Poor Service I made an enquiry regarding two properties and, after around seven phone calls, eventually had to speak to the office manager. Their response was completely nonchalant: “We’re only advertising these properties for the builder. I’ll pass on your details.” The person who was supposed to call me back never did, and my details were apparently never passed on. Roll on two months, I saw another property and made another enquiry. Exactly the same happened again — details left, promises made, and absolutely no call back or follow-up. I will be avoiding this agency for any future purchases or sales. The level of service falls far short of what should be expected within the industry. Shameful.

Fantastic experience: We were very happy with the service from Tailormade Moves. Our agent was Travis Shaw, who was communicative, professional and friendly. He organised the valuation, home report, and photography very quickly and arranged the online adverts. He did all the viewings for us - the organised and pleasant staff in office kept us informed when the viewings would be - and then he gave rapid feedback after each one. The house sold in a fortnight. Recommended as an excellent experience. Travis went over and above what can be expected to make this a success.

Fantastic experience: I have been preparing a flat which I had previously been renting out with Tailormade. The staff and agents could not have been more helpful in advising me and showing the flat to prospective buyers. Negative experience: Called twice to arrange a viewing and ask a question?.Well get back to you...no response. Day two..tried again ..we'll get back to you...question?..how much would you like to offer for the property you haven't viewed yet. Raised a formal complaint...ignored..still no contact from these cowboys. This is day three and still no viewing...if only the seller knew the level of incompetence that is on display here...id be pretty upset if potential buyers were being ignored in this way.....you pay your money and make your choice....I know who will be marketing my property...you might have guessed who it won't be...

Negative experience: We instructed Tailor Made Moves to sell our home at 62 Drummond Road late last year while we had a reservation on a new-build property with a strict deadline attached. The purchase depended entirely on achieving a sale within a defined timeframe. This was explained clearly from the outset and the agent indicated they were confident working within that timeframe. Concerns about the practicality of the deadline were only raised much later, which was difficult to reconcile with the position taken at the beginning. There were some positives. Communication was generally courteous and viewings were arranged once interest emerged. From the outset we also made it clear that we were motivated sellers and were willing to act on any feedback or guidance provided during the marketing process. We were later told that the level of viewing activity achieved was considered exceptional, although we had assumed it would be fairly typical for a property on the market. However, the early stages were concerning. We waited around a month for the first viewing and during that period no change in strategy, pricing or marketing approach was proposed. It was only after we prompted discussion that adjustments were considered. In a sale where timing was critical, that lack of early momentum felt significant. There were also practical issues during the early marketing stage. We had to prompt both the installation of the sale board and the property being listed online. Photography required two rounds after an initial set appeared to have been taken in haste. In our view the final photographs were not of a particularly strong standard, which may have made marketing the property more challenging. More broadly, the process often felt reactive rather than proactive. Periods without activity required us to initiate conversations about next steps and these concerns were raised during the marketing period rather than only afterwards. When feedback from viewings raised questions about the condition of the property, we again made clear that we were prepared to act on any guidance given. However, we were reassured that nothing needed to be done and this did not develop into a clear or structured plan. Pricing and marketing decisions were also made in line with the advice we were given. In the final week before our onward purchase was withdrawn there was also no further discussion about strategy or intervention despite the known deadline attached to the chain. Given how critical that stage was, we had expected some form of escalation or renewed effort to engage potential buyers. From our perspective there was no meaningful shift in approach during what was clearly the most time-sensitive point of the process, and we would also have appreciated a little more empathy for the situation we were in. When we eventually concluded that Tailor Made were not the right agent for us and raised our concerns, the response from the office felt defensive. Some points appeared to be refuted before there had been an opportunity to properly clarify the issues we were raising, which made what was already a difficult situation feel more uncomfortable. To be fair, no agent can guarantee a sale and market conditions always play a role. The property did attract some interest and we recognise that selling a house can be unpredictable. However, given the clear time pressures attached to our onward purchase, we believe a more proactive and structured approach may have improved the chances of achieving a sale within the required timeframe. For anyone selling without time pressure their experience may be different. For those selling against a hard deadline or dependent purchase, it would be sensible to ask detailed questions in advance about how strategy will change if activity slows and what practical steps will be taken to maintain momentum. ** worthy of a comment following Tailor Made's comment that they chose to focus on the timeframe (which they knew from the start and did not take that seriously) and not perhaps the other far more significant issues.**

Fantastic experience: Selling was never going to be a stress-free process, but Katherine really helped us with her efficient and calm support. It was so reassuring to know that we could contact her easily at any time. As with the rest of the Tailormade team a fast helpful response was guaranteed. Organised, calm and reassuring at all times. Negative experience: I phoned them to rent out my property, but the lady on other end been not in a good mood to talk she cut off the phoned twice without any warning. Avoid this agency if you can seems very rude, so many good agencies around Inverness.

Negative experience: We attempted to get a price for selling through tailormade but noone ever got back to us so we're currently under offer with another estate agent. Tried to get a few viewings but found them quite unaccomodating not willing to help with viewings outwith the standard 9-5. Found Anderson Shaw and Gilbert much more accommodating by getting us a viewing on a Saturday. I've found I donteven look at houses listed by tailormade on rightmove/zoopla now. Hope sellers are aware of potential viewings their missing out on

Negative experience: The second time in a row I contacted the agency regards the property and they told me they're too busy now so they call me back, but never happened. Property was gone and they didn't even give me a call back. Disappointed and highly not recommend

Negative experience: Im absolutely shocked how they treat people , after giving my all details , my friend bank details , payslips , I've been told that we are not getting a house which we wanted. I've been told that i can take keys to the new house , 2 days later they told me we need to give them more details and more references. We already gave them all our details, I was suprised they didn't ask me about my shoes size too! I'm wondering why they said we were allowed to move to this place and after that we started packing all our staff they said that this place is already taken by someone else. One lady from the office started recording me when i was speaking with her , i don't know why . I guess they are .., I'm really disappointed how they treated me.

Fantastic experience: I contacted two letting companies in Inverness regarding two apartments and the difference between them was chalk and cheese. Tailormade Moves were excellent and their staff extremely polite (the owner of other company, who we found extremely rude, laughed when I asked if the price was negotiable). We had a viewing of both properties and opted for the property through Tailormade. Rob has been our main contact point and has been excellent throughout. People will primarily choose a place to rent based on the property and location, but Tailormade Moves have made the whole process simple and all the staff have been very polite and professional throughout. Highly recommended.

Negative experience: Review only for the rental side. Company itself seems good, office staff are great. The rental side is looked after by an employee that seems not to care about your property. No feedback from him, had property for weeks and no tenant found.
