Negative experience: I was to view a property in Ballyclare today, but I was ten minutes late for my appointment because of roadworks, after driving 36 miles from my home. I was very disappointed that the agent did not wait a few minutes for me to arrive, so I had to drive another 36 miles home again,

Fantastic experience: I purchased my property through Nest Estate Agents Ballyclare in June 2025 and I cannot recommend this estate agency enough! All the staff including Leah, Victoria, Cheryl, and David were excellent at their job and kept me informed each step of the way, drawing upon their wealth of expert knowledge regarding the entire process. Nest were simply the best and if I'm ever selling my property I will definitely be giving them the business!!

Negative experience: Buyer beware!!!! To say they are disingenuous is an understatement. As a prospective cash buyer on what was clearly an unmortgageable property, I was caught up in a bidding war when told I was bidding against another cash buyer. This ultimately turned out to be a lie which I questioned multiple times with a certain agent as the seller herself had told me that all bidders required a mortgage ! The other prospective purchasers who required mortgages were simply pushing up the selling price. It was only after a conversation with a senior agent that I was inadvertently told the truth. I retracted my original offer and put on a lower cash offer around the asking price which was more realistic and reflective of the properties condition. However what Nest neglected to tell me when submitting my "cash" offer was that the property had already been "sale agreed" to the highest bid who required a mortgage. My own agent from Abbey who was dealing with my sale, contacted them multiple times regarding my offer due to the lack of contact from them to myself. I had my own buyer and was waiting on them to negotiate but they failed to contact me even once.At no point during any conversation was my agent told the property was "sale agreed "and going through a mortgage application.He was led to believe no decision had yet been made. My husband whom they didn't recognize, called into nest out of frustration to ask about progress on the property. It was only then that they unknowingly told him it was " sale agreed "pending a mortgage. They witheld this information from both myself and my agent and were using us as the" plan B" with the expectation that the mortgage application wouldn't be approved due to the houses condition. Despite their lack of transparency and contact , we decided to keep our offer on the property as we were confident we would receive a call in the upcoming weeks. Two weeks later I was contacted again by Nest and told the sale from the previous buyer fell through. After negotiation with the owner I increased my initial offer.Nest informed me the vendor would sale agree the property to us conditional on the surveyor being instructed straight away. However it materialized after a phone call to my mortgage advisor (Mortgage IQ) for advice on doing a private home buyer report,that he was actually actively trying to process the mortgage application for the other buyer but was doubtful it would complete due to the poor state of the property. They had actually sale agreed the property to 2 buyers at the same time!!! , with the expectation that the mortgage application was going to fall through ! Had I not made the phone call I would never had known.I have dealt with every other estate agent in Ballyclare and can honestly say they are all very professional. However I have never had misfortune of dealing with Nest before and am absolutely dumbfounded by their incompetence, deceit ,lack of transparency, and underhand tactics. Absolute Amateurs when dealing with complex sales. Professional integrity is everything when dealing with vendors and buyers alike, and to blame the vendors instructions for their total lack of professionalism is shocking ! If I could give no stars I would .

The dedicated portal online let's you track progress very quickly and handily with lots of details included within. I would say skip the rest and go with the best.

Fantastic experience: I recently sold my house with Nest estate agents. I cannot give enough thanks for the amazing work done. As probably many others before me, I was trying to sell with another agency. Unfortunately that did not go well and spent a lot of time trying to sell my house with no success. One day I was walking by ballyclare sq and saw the agency. I thought they only sold expensive houses as the office looks very professional from the outside. However due to my circumstances I decided to go into the office and just pop the question to know if they would be up for selling my house. I met up with Leah and from the very first moment I was not disappointed. On the very first meeting (without appointment) I explained my situation and all the advice and help from the very beginning was more than the help I got previously from other agencies. Once we agreed on the change of agencies into Nest everything went much smoother. Professional pictures taken, social media advertising and recommendations to other people that might’ve not been looking for my specific house type but might’ve been an option of interest.
