Throughout the time I owned the property, Dana was outstanding in handling the lettings and property management. She was always professional, responsive, and a pleasure to deal with. When it came time to sell, Helen did a fantastic job. Her knowledge of the market, communication, and negotiation skills helped secure a sale above the asking price, which I was delighted with. The team have been extremely proactive, always looking for ways to assist in order to move to a completion date as quickly as possible. Zoe has even obtained further quotes for us for Solicitors, which has been very much appreciated. There is always a friendly voice at the end of the phone to assist with your queries, and when they say they will get back to you, they do! Negative experience: Refused to value a propery for probate which is in the same village as their shop. Rubbish customer service will not be using them to sell my house later in the year.

Negative experience: I recently worked with Portfield agency in an attempt to purchase a property, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. My family and I were highly interested in a home listed with this agency and even submitted an offer above the asking price. However, the agency informed us that the property had already been sold, which prevented us from viewing it or continuing the offer process. Later, I learned that the home was still on the market at the time of our inquiry, which left us feeling that the agency may not have been fully transparent. We felt our genuine interest and offer were not conveyed to the seller, which was both frustrating and disappointing. I would encourage future clients to verify information carefully, as our experience suggested a lack of transparency that impacted our ability to pursue a property we were truly interested in.

Fantastic experience: What an amazing team … Portfield’s Tickhill office undertook the recent sale of my property. From my first meeting with Julian for a valuation - to my last visit to the office to hand over my keys to Julie - they have been brilliant, Their pro active approach really made for a quick sale , when hitches in the process with buyers and sellers arose they were so helpful in chasing matters up. They kept my solicitor in the loop and their patience was outstanding, they far exceeded their role. Positive experience: Probably not the worst but definitely not the best. Was a bit of a pain making a viewing. Eventually had the viewing on Wednesday and only just got a call to ask for feedback. We had a viewing with William H brown on Wednesday night and they rung us first thing on Thursday morning. We will be going with William H Brown because of this. I worry that if we purchased a house through them, we would end up having issues as their communication doesn’t look to be great.

Fantastic experience: I've been a tenant via this agency for just over 6 months. From the moment of walking through the front door on the first viewing to our recent inspection, the staff from this company have been warm and friendly while maintaining a professional demeanor. Our house was exactly as advertised, absolutely lovely and in the perfect location for us, and when we had an issue with our plumbing after a cold snap it was resolved quickly. The staff were flexible around our working hours when it came to viewings and signing for the property, and again when it came to organising the plumber and the inspection. I would wholeheartedly recommend using this agency to anyone. Edit to add: After moving out we got our full bond back with absolutely no shenanigans. Sad that it's noteworthy really, but still.

They were always helpful and knowledgeable, assisting us towards a successful sale with, hopefully, a happy purchaser. who is now enjoying living in their new home.

Negative experience: Unbelievably terrible, put an offer in I was told it was accepted but I would l need to provide prof of funds, etc. They suggested I email all my personal details. I emailed them asking if they could send them the details in a mode secure manor. They just black holed my question, never got back to me. I tried calling a couple of times but they were closed, not a problem but they just never chased and now sold the house to someone else. Disappointed doesn't cover it. I complained but nothing they can do. Can't take the house off someone else. Could not recommend them for selling or buying. imagine trying to sell using this company. You would never know if they have got anyone interested if they just can't be bothered to follow up. 0 competency from there actions and attitude when I spoke to them.

Negative experience: Bi-annual house inspections aren't appreciated. Just another reminder that we're living in someone else's house. Leave the tenants to enjoy their homes please without feeling like they're under interrogation.

Negative experience: Absolutely, 100% useless. Knew nothing about the property. Not one viewing. I cannot describe how lazy and uninformative they were. Avoid. Sitting around in a good market and doing nothing to be paid. Overpriced the property and set us up to fail.

Fantastic experience: We bought our current property from Portfield's and are now using them as agents to rent out our old home. They are always friendly approachable and helpful. When our first tenants did not leave the carpets or kitchen in the expected state Portfield's negotiated that we kept their bond and pointed us towards tradesmen who fixed the problems providing good quality and value. The property was turned around and rented out again within a reasonable timescale. Portfield always communicate quickly, professionally and responsively about any issues the Tennant reports so that these can be fixed immediately by our choice of tradesman. They have a bank of reliable trades people that they use regularly who provide good value for money and sort out issues quickly. We are really happy with them and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Negative experience: Not recommended. Overvalued the property. No professional photos. Didn't try very hard to sell the property. Felt like they were just lining up the property for a landlord to buy on the cheap.

Negative experience: Dishonest and unprofessional. Absolutely disgusted with the service. I had an offer accepted to purchase a house with them, paid my solicitor to drawn up the documents then the following week Portfields et al rang to say the sellers had ‘taken it off the market as they could no longer sell due to their finances with their new build house fallen through’. I had seen it has been taken offline from Rightmove so believed this. Now, only a few days later, it has a sold sign outside by Portfields et al and was sold while my solicitor stuff was going through behind my back! Extremely snakey what they do for a few extra quid. Not open and honest at all. Was warned about this by a friend who had the exact same experience, but said it could be different for me. It wasn’t.
