Fantastic experience: When my mum passed we needed to obtain a valuation for Probate purposes. We contacted 3 local Estate Agents the third of which was Rob Kahl from Scott and Stapleton. His professionalism immediately stood out. His relaxed style put us at ease during this stressful time. On this basis we decided to choose the company to act on our behalf for the sale. He was up front with the fees and was the only agent to advise us of the added VAT costs.We were kept up to date at every point. Viewings were arranged within a short period and we accepted an offer from the fourth prospective buyer. Completion took place 6 months after listing. Rob and his team had to contend with many rental properties coming to market as a result of tax changes for landlords. They worked so hard for us. I would thoroughly recommend Scott and Stapleton to anyone buying or selling property in this area. Thank you again Rob

Negative experience: Poor communication, broken promises. Holds on to your money and do not complete any works.

Negative experience: I came across Scott & Stapleton last year when they took over the management of Leigh Marina, my advice is stay well clear, and do not use Scott & Stapleton. Adele Moore is so rude, she has no customer service skills whatsoever and they most certainly do not act in the best interest of the customer. They are a shambles. This organisation is horrific, do not deal with them.

Negative experience: I don't recommend this agency!!! They're very unprofessional, they was very unfair with me I don't know why!!! I was applied for a rent 1 bedroom flat, I was the first person applied and called them plenty of time, every time I called them they said someone gonna call me but I didn't get any call from them. Finally again I called them requesting to book the flat but they saying fully booked now!!!!!! How can this possible that I was fullfill all the requirements they wanted and I have exellent credit score, I don't have any kids or pets, I was ready to pay deposit whatever they want. Truely it was very rediculas and very very unfair. Please don't do this. This's so unfair!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: I've been blown away by Anthony and the supporting team at Scott and Stapleton! From the moment i heard Anthony speaking to prospective tenants about a neighbouring property, i knew i had to have him rent out my own flat. Firstly, he sent me full details of the service on email. Then we arranged a visit, once i'd refreshed and tidied the flat. He was super informative, super efficient and had a lovely nature. No question was too much. He took photos and the ad went out a day later. Day after that the flat was rented! Two weeks later, having fulfilled all the legal requirements, completed tests and checks, the tenant is moving in today. I've just signed the contract! Simple, stress free process from start to finish, very impressive. Thank you all so much! I would very highly recommend.

Negative experience: We had a horrible experience while letting a flat in Southend-on-sea. Initially when I approach them the agent was very polite and co-operative and showed me the flat and made several promises to us that they will look after the property and solve maintenance problems in future. After renting the flat when some maintenance issue emerged, and I called them, I came to know they are no longer looking after it and the landlord deal everything. There response was very harsh and unprofessional. unfortunately the landlord was very difficult to deal with and I had great trouble with maintenance issues throughout next three years of tenancy. Eventually I didn't get my deposit back as the landlord claimed several lame excuses like repainting minor scratch and so on. I felt I have been played false by Scott & stapleton who denied all responsibility.

Fantastic experience: We rented our flat with Scott and Stapleton and they were always following up and checking up that the Landlord had taken the necessary steps to rectify the situation. They were regular property inspections to ensure all was well. Great job they did!

They were understanding of our needs and helped us find and move into our new home in a matter of weeks. The communication was excellent and I was kept up to date regularly. Chloe Mitchell took over and looked after the progression of my purchase, liaising with myself, the seller and our solicitors. Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Scott and Stapleton enough. We’ve rented from them for 3 years nearly and they are super efficient at getting back to any queries and no job is ever too small. Yvette, Adele and Tom have mostly dealt with us during our time with them and they have all been outstanding. The whole team are friendly, kind and efficient at all times. Their contractors are also super helpful and kind, and all repairs needed have been done with such care. We are so sad to be leaving rental with this team, but would recommend them whole heartedly to anyone who wants to rent in southend.

Negative experience: Bad experience from start to finish during a 12 month tenancy managed by Scott and Stapleton. Made to feel like a convict rather than a paying tenant. I rented for 8 years throughout London and have always had good relationships with agencies, being fair and reasonable from both sides in reaching agreements whenever minor issues have arisen. However, receiving rude and deliberately abrasive calls from S&S staff threatening to charge extra days rent due to an end of tenancy clean unfortunately delaying the key-return after I had already made them aware, no communication from them whatsoever throughout the 12 month tenancy and now on my third week of them withholding my deposit whilst they source contractors for very small, minimal jobs is unbelievable.

Fantastic experience: Chloe was particularly helpful throughout us buying a house that Scott & Stapleton were selling - there were a few issues along the way with the chain and Chloe could not have been more helpful, friendly and efficient in working with me to speed things up and keep us in the loop! 5 star

Scott and Stapleton assisted to get a new place, although, it was not a smooth process, due to the circumstances, Scott and Stapleton did all they could, to ensure we were temporarily placed somewhere for 6weeks. Anthony and Sam were so helpful! The landlord for the property was not relatable, however, no fault on the part of Scott and Stapleton!

Negative experience: From a massive GDPR breach (they divulged personal information of another tenant to me) to not having any hot water for 6 days (and refusing to take any responsibility, putting the blame squarely on the landlord), this company is shockingly bad. Customer service is non-existent. Avoid.

Positive experience: Very good fancy place,everyone tries to look really important, however I guess if yiu don't come and make them big profit you are on the second track and low customer service. Rented property through them. Not that their provider did not switch everything over as they said it will, but they did not even made sure that their old tenants properly discontinued their bills and energies from the property. Not to mention that if you call and ask them to pass anything on it will never happen

Negative experience: I had a poor experience with Scott & Stapleton. Everything is automated and they don't really take responsibility for the service they deliver. I found them unhelpful and pretty much like every other agent; they are good until they have your money. The image they project is a long way from their offering.
