Fantastic experience: My Renting a property from Stoke Property Shop (66 Keary Street) having been referred by a family friend was an amazing experience that I will not be in a hurry to forget. The polite customer relations, quick to action attitude, the humane attendance to customer needs, and assurance of tenant prestige all informed my decision to note this review. I enjoyed the wonderful support from Team led by Sue, Stu, etc. which demystified my impression about first time house renting in the UK. I must say, my two years stay in that house with my family was simply peaceful and the deposit refund process was seamless to say the least. Bravo SPS!!!! Tochy Anyiam.

Negative experience: Rented out a cockroach infested house and does the bare minimum to actually try and resolve it, keeps on coming around to the house to snoop around without giving the 24 hours notice stipulated in the contract.

Fantastic experience: On arrival at Stoke, myself and group of friends were desperate to find an accommodation especially with the surge in student applications to staffs Uni in early 2022, found out about the Stoke Property Shop, was assigned an amazing lady called Sue” who literally made my living in stoke an amazing experience as a student. Sue also helped myself and partner get our second accomodation when we couldn’t stay in student apartments anymore. In general the guys at this establishment has been amazing for the past 2 and half years, they’ve been very supportive and always help contact landlords and get issues sorted ASAP, I’d recommend SPS any day to any of my friends, it’s been an amazing journey (more than just a let agent for us). Negative experience: Seems all the honest reviews have been deleted . My own personal experience with Stoke property show was anything but pleasant .Nice enough during formalities so you sign the contract but once that’s done good luck they’ll make your life hell given the chance .Any concerns are brushed aside and told that your loan is for rent not for anything else which is false .The staff they employ need a lesson in manners and etiquette and presume just because we’re students we’re gullible idiots and none the wiser .I at one point when I had concerns regarding my room was spoken too in such a manner on the phone I was visibly shaken , led to my mum taking the phone and when she asked what on earth was going on the tone changed and told they’d only speak to me not my parents .Literally preying on students hoping they know nothing .Also received numerous threats when I wasn’t in the property as it was in such a state that I preferred saying on a friends sofa then live in the Property and told on the phone I should be there when I clearly explained it wasn’t inhabitable.Led me to leaving early and thankfully I found another room rather quickly .Advice to any students either rent privately or with a different agency Update Hi With regards to my review it is regarding your business as I rented with yourselves three years ago . I dealt with a member of staff by the name of Tom Cullinan , I’m aware that he’s now left but frankly him and the rest of the staff were appalling when dealing with issues . I’ve never dealt with such rude and incompetent people in my life . Letting out a sub standard property and it lacking basic safety precautions and when explaining any issue being spoken down too but expect rent to be paid which is hypocritical. Just seems an automatic response to protect your image when you couldn’t care less about your tenants just interested in making money for yourselves .

SPS continue to provide an exceptional management service and a high occupancy rate when i have switch of tenancy. They always go out there way to provide assistance and guidance even when they do not directly benefit. And continuously keeping me uptodate with my portfolio of houses. I would without doubt recommend SPS to any landlords looking for a professional management service.

Negative experience: Edit: There's been a burst of 5 star reviews which were all written a few hours after my review was written. Since there were 2 reviews before my review was written as they were all deleted before, I believe these were WRITTEN BY THE EMPLOYEES, especially as the reviews are all from accounts that have made under 5 reviews each. It looks like all reviews were wiped, so I will be re-writing my one star review. I know SPS had many reviews, and have been in Stoke for a while now, so seeing all their reviews gone is odd. I used SPS for student accommodation and was appalled by the service I was given. I was not allowed contact with my landlord in case there were any issues, and it would take a long time for any issues to be addressed. Upon leaving the property, I had documented property damage that was established before moving in, deducted out of my deposit. This was a headache, and I had to speak to trading standards to sort out the details, which was not ideal while studying for exams. The staff were friendly to start with, but after the contract was signed, I found them to be less friendly. If you do use SPS, make sure you get EVERYTHING in writing, spoken word does not count, students. Although with the prices of private landlords in the Stoke area being cheaper, I can say I have not regretted going private since.
