Negative experience: From the start Fraser was very professional , we were given a ball park figure by Fraser which was never reached also after the initial signing it was downhill from there , there was no communication between the girls as we had said on more than one occasion that we were not doing the viewings also called to say I would be late for a viewing which wasn’t passed on , if Jacqui had been in charge of our sale I think there would be a different outcome. Positive experience: Donald Ross is a very slick and professional organisation, and EXCELLENT to deal with. Living just outside Edinburgh, I was selling my parents' rather unique property near Ayr - and Donald Ross provided first class customer service. After both viewing days, (thankfully I only had two Sundays) Naomi was superb at phoning and sending emails as to what viewers thought...over and above info on "The Street" app which you need a Smartphone to download it onto. Naomi really was absolutely A1 in every respect. The Schedule with the Photos looked excellent and everyone involved was a pleasure to deal with. The property sold (subject to the usual legal stuff) in circa 2 weeks at close to the price I was wanting. The reason I've only made this 4 stars is that one of the Partners wanted to put this on the market at £20K below the Home Report. I just found that bizarre!

Negative experience: Very disappointed with service. After initial signing to promote sale, felt ignored by Donald Ross. Fraser implied he would do the viewings, but Naomi said he was “ too busy” She was never available when I tried to contact her for feedback from viewers, and when she did return my call, her stock reply to all was “I am waiting for a reply from my email”. !! Negative experience: Purchased a house from them a few years back, day i got the keys the house was absolutely putrid, thought in this day and age an estate agency would at least do a basic clean, bathrooms and toilets filthy with mould, fridge had been turned off with food left inside which caused the house to smell badly, when I approached Donald ross about the state of the home they state"its not our job to clean homes" so as far as future business is concerned that's a no from me, where I come from estate agents do a complimentary deep clean to welcome new owners to their home.

Negative experience: Horrible experience when renting , left house in great condition and they still continued to take the deposit. Money grabbing to say the least , staff behind the reception desk were heard when I was in blatantly bad mouthing tennants. Very unprofessional. Avoid at all costs. If i could score less than 1 star then i would.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic company! They have a deep knowledge of the local market and have been extremely professional (and super friendly) at every stage of the process. Do not hesitate in using their services.

Negative experience: After 5 months of not selling selling house, they want a £500 cancelling fee for NOT selling your home, this is after already paying them hundreds of pounds in marketing fees. Then block your own property on Rightmove to stop you from switching to a different agent. They then re-list the property that you have purchased from them as a new listing trying to sell to someone else. NOT IMPRESSED WITH THIS COMPANY !!!!

Negative experience: Donald Ross have to be the worst, most dishonest and unprofessional estate agents I have ever come across. Their staff and management are arrogant, sly and don't think twice about twisting the truth. There are far better estate agents out there who won't try to rip you off and do a far better job. Donald Ross should be ashamed of the way they do business.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience from start to finnish. Staff where extremely well mannered, warm and professional. They kept me informed through every step of selling my home and sold it in a matter of weeks. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Negative experience: We have arranged to view the farmhouse, the person who was showing us a house was young and had no clue about the property, he actually asked us what price of the property is at and what the listing description says while the lady on the phone said we’d have a person who can answer any questions about it. The house was said to be newly refurbished but in realty it was all dump with signs of slugs slime all over carpets, mould and insects, there was even poison present on the floor which looked like it was for either the slugs or rats. The floor in the kitchen was damaged with holes in it, while the sofas in the leaving room were dirty, dump and with mouldy bags under the sofas pillows. The garaged was also mouldy, smelled very badly and was cluttered with dirty and dump brick o brack. We were yet still interested in the property due to location and were willing to refurbish the interior fully, the person was showing us the property was supposed to call us with an update but after a longer while we decided to give the agency a call to enquiry about and got told the property has been taken by someone and it’s now gone. We are very disappointed and offended that no one gave us a wee call as we would have been waiting forever. One star because i can`t give 0

Negative experience: Terrible service, arrogant an very unhelpful. My partner and I were going to rent a property through Donald Ross and paid our deposit but swiftly asked for it to be returned after they told us they will not proceed unless we pay £65 per person to conduct reference checks. This practice is illegal and they are the only letting agents I have ever dealt with that had attempted to do this. Avoid at all costs.

Negative experience: I've been renting from Donald Ross for the first time and it will be my last. The way the treat people is very wrong and the way they handle this is out of order I'd recommend you try any other place it will be 10x better there was a viewing at the property we was renting we are okay for anyone to come in and have a look firstly they didn't let us know when they're coming but we was still okay secondly when the agent came in he barged in my daughter stays unwell he really banged on the door and the way he spoke was out of order since then my daughter is scared of the door being knocked and we're in and out of the hospital since that time she's had a lot of sezuires ive told the agency but they didn't seem to bother or care which is inhumanity they're was being very racist and judging by the skin colour.
