Fantastic experience: I have been a landlord since 2011. I have used several letting agents over the years. I was, until recently, using one letting agency which I thought was excellent until I was dropped by them because my rental properties weren't in the high class and expensive areas of Sandbanks and Canford Cliffs. I had to look for another letting agent. I chose Goadsby. Goadsby's branch at Wareham covers the area of one of my rental properties. I met Hannah and Molly who are the staff which deal with lettings. In super-quick time Hannah came round to my property and that same evening my property was on Rightmove. Five days later Molly conducted the first, and only, block viewing of my property. The very next day I had two offers and, having accepted one offer, my property was let. I can't praise the teamwork of Hannah and Molly enough. They were both exceptionally efficient at keeping me informed at every single step of the way. Additionally they are both very friendly and polite ladies. They have made me feel as though I am a valued client. Fantastic experience: I can’t speak highly enough of the staff at Goadsby (Wareham Office), from my first contact to arrange to view a property (with Fiona I think), right the way through to purchasing our property. Buying a property can be stressful, often with unforeseen issues but Henry was always on hand to sort out any problems immediately, ensuring things moved along as smoothly and quickly as possible, liaising with the relevant parties in a prompt and professional manner. We’ve bought and sold a lot of houses over the years and I always think a good indicator of how competent an Estate Agency is, can be gauged by how they treat you as a buyer. All dealings with every staff member we spoke with showed them to be efficient, personable and a pleasure to deal with. I’ve had no dealings with Goadsbys prior to this as I’m from outside of the area, but I wouldn’t hesitate to appoint them again should we need to sell, or recommend them to others. Estate Agents traditionally have a poor reputation but, in my opinion, the staff there were exceptional and second to none, always ringing back, responding to emails promptly and when our contact Henry wasn’t available, Gavin stepped in to ensure there were no delays. All round fantastic service and will be using Goadsby every time. They just know how to sell property and have a great way of doing it. The benefits of using Goadsby is simply the fact that they are big, but not too big. They have a huge database of potential buyers, they ensure the chasing is handled instead of focusing just on more instructions once you have a sale agreed, and they have the capacity to always have staff to help you, unlike a lot of other agents. A lot of people know that a house is never really sold until completion, in fact, 1 out of 4 in the UK fall through but Henry along with Goadsby ensured my sale reached completion and had no chance of falling through. We originally went with an online estate agent and after not much luck thought we would give Goadsby a try. It is easy to see the advantage of a high street agent when you receive customer service like we received from Alice, it makes the extra cost in fees worth it - other high street agents take note!

Negative experience: AWFUL from a lettings perspective. Right from the beginning our move in was delayed due to a fault with the boiler needing repair. Understandably no ones fault, until we needed to end the tenancy and they had not recorded any details on their system about the change of move in date. Lived with rusty, leaking radiators for a year and a half which we continuously reported and were not replaced until the week before we were leaving the property. We had the hassle of the repairs only for the benefit of the next tenants. Furthermore, with over 20 years experience of renting a property, I would class the wait for any decison on our deposit as long - have usually had it returned within 10 days. Apparently, Goadsby don't have any time clause written in the lease for a decison on the deposit so the landlord may take as long as they wish to make a decision. We left the property cleaner than we found it (3 full days if cleaning and professionly cleaned carpets) and they wish to deduct £445 for cleaning! They seem very reluctant to chase anything from the landlord - and have even told us that we have been waiting for the landlord to obtain a breakdown of cleaning charges - which one would hope had been obtained prior to requesting deductions from our deposit? Will never rent with Goadsby again.

Negative experience: I have contacted this company twice recently regarding a rental property they are advertising, heard nothing back from them at all - obviously not bothered about new customers/clients. I wouldn't bother wasting your time. I would have given them no stars but you have to give at least one to be able to post a review....

Negative experience: If you're looking for somewhere to let/rent don't bother with Goadsby. Worst estate agent ever! Have never ever in my whole life had ANY of my deposit taken by any other estate agent in the last 15 years that I have rented. Tenancy Deposit Scheme? Useless as even they will take the Landlord/Agent's side even when you submit evidence
