Rook Matthews Sayer Estate Agent in Ashington

Fantastic experience: Excellent service. Helpful and friendly staff.

Fantastic experience: Wendy & Diane were absolutely amazing and were always in contact when I needed them. Thanks to all from RMS!

Fantastic experience: RMS were very helpful in my house buying process. They were responsive and professional. I would recommend.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service from Mortgage Manager named Alistair. Much appreciated

Negative experience: Dealt with Wendy, she arranged a house viewing for me but forgot to tell the homeowner about it.

Negative experience: The service was disappointing & frustrating at times, RMS provided a patchy service, particularly when it came to arranging viewings. Several potential buyers complained to us about non returned calls, we even had a viewer arrive and we had not been notified (we were not at home). Despite several requests we never had any sort of profile on prospective buyers just their name & if they were in a position to buy. Unacceptable if we are doing all the viewings. Most of the staff were great, it seems that we were unlucky.

Fantastic experience: I recently moved home. I used RMS Ashington branch as they came highly recommended and believe me they did not disappoint. The whole team are amazing. From the start of my journey to the end. I was given regular updates and help or information requested was followed up without quibble and always quickly. To move with such a professional team makes such a stressful time easier knowing you are in good hands. I cannot thank them all enough. If you're moving home in the Ashington area, you will be in good hands with these people .

Fantastic experience: I went to the offices of this estate agency almost as an afterthought after a day of rental property hunting. Almost immediately they made me feel invigorated with their attitude. The staff - Wendy, Angela, Graham and Madalyn showed professionalism and care. My relocation was handled as swiftly and helpfully as I could hope for. I am seriously impressed with my experience here and they secured a really good and satisfying improvement of my circumstances.

Fantastic experience: RMS were great from start to finish. The fees were very competitive. Wendy in particular was incredibly helpful in the office whenever there were any issues with solicitors or timescales that needed chasing. Everything was dealt with professionally and promptly and as a family we are very grateful for the service they provided.

Fantastic experience: Cannot fault the RMS Ashington team from valuation to completion. Professional and friendly at every turn. Thanks to Graham, Wendy, Angela and Lily.

Fantastic experience: The staff at the Ashington branch were lovely and so helpful. It was a really quick sale and everything went smoothly we were emailed regularly to keep us up to date with what was happening. Thank you Angela and your team.

Fantastic experience: Staff dealt with our sale very efficiently at all times, with courtesy and professionalism. Our queries were answered quickly. Unfortunately our sale fell through due to the buyer pulling out, but Angela informed us with tact and kindness. Special mention to Wendy, Angela and Lily. Highly recommended agent.

Negative experience: Absolutely shocking. Worst communication with an estate agent that I have ever had do deal with. Would recommend anyone but these.

Fantastic experience: Very helpful and friendly, so supportive from start to finish, thank you to you all

Fantastic experience: Alistair the financial advisor was amazing from start to finish. We were first time buyers and he couldn’t have assisted more if he tried. Rook Matthews Sayers were also brilliant and so friendly throughout the buying process and there was constant communication. Brilliant service all round

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff and they dealt with all our Queries really quick. Would recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I recently had the pleasure of dealing with Rook Matthew Sayers and I couldn't be more satisfied with the service provided. From start to finish, the experience was seamless and professional. Angela, Callum. Wendy and the team demonstrated exceptional knowledge of the local market, providing valuable insights and advice that helped me make informed decisions. Their dedication and attention to detail were evident throughout the entire process. They were always available to answer my questions and kept me updated every step of the way. What stood out the most was the teams commitment to understanding my needs and preferences. They went above and beyond to find properties that matched my criteria and arranged viewings that fit my schedule. Their negotiation skills were impressive, ensuring I got the best deal possible. The entire process, from the initial consultation to the final paperwork, was handled with utmost professionalism and efficiency. RMS made what can often be a stressful experience incredibly smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend RMS and Angela to anyone looking to buy or sell property. Their expertise, dedication, and personalized approach make them a top choice for anyone in the real estate market. Thank you, RMS for your outstanding service!

Fantastic experience: Alistair the mortgage adviser was absolutely brilliant, looked after us all the way through our journey and got us the very best rates possible. Can't thank him enough

Positive experience: Would like to thank everyone at RMS and also Alistair for his determination to get us a mortgage on a Non-standard type property. Took us a few months of trying to work out how we would achieve it but Alistair took it all on board and sorted it out for us after lots of hard work . Many thanks, now happy in our dream home top marks, would recommend!

Fantastic experience: Rook Matthews sayer estate agents in ashington provided a friendly and efficient service during our house move from start to finish. Wendy was very helpful with any queries we had in the process and I would highly recommend their services .

Fantastic experience: Supportive and in touch throughout the process. Alistair has been excellent and goes the extra mile chasing up the other parties involved in our sale and buy. Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: I have used Alistair for our mortgage and re-mortgages for quite some years now and he has been absolutely brilliant! He has always been very informative and reliable. 10/10 would recommend!

Fantastic experience: I found the staff at Rook Matthews Sayers really helpful and very proactive!!! Would recommend then to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended, Alistair Bowman was a massive help with our house purchase/mortgage. Always proactive and available to explain the process and to push our solicitors.

Fantastic experience: The rating is for Wendy in the Ashington branch who could not have been more helpful, and such a lovely lady. Unfortunately the head office were not as good - paperwork not prepared in good time and other issues too. I would just about give 1 star to them.

Fantastic experience: I went with Alistair Bowman for my first house buy a few years back, I took out the lifetime cover and as such he's just also helped me renew my mortgage deal for no extra cost. He made the whole process very easy and painless, couldn't recommend him enough! 10/10!

Fantastic experience: Customer service is outstanding. My dealings were with Mr Alistair Bowman, he was amazing and always available, courteous and very knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience: Used RMS for a property sale and it sold in a few days. They were excellent at chasing up the solicitors if requested too. Will definitely use again

Fantastic experience: Lovely to deal with you........and your patience was greatly appreciated during the very long sale of our property!

Fantastic experience: Used RMS in Ashington in both original house purchase, and recent re-mortgaging process. On both occasions, I cannot fault the service provided. Alistair Bowman's services as a mortgage advisor in the branch cannot be faulted - responsive with timely updates throughout the entire process in very challenging economic times, as well as proactively monitoring interest rates in the slim hope a better deal might become available. It made navigating my first re-mortgaging process far more comfortable and less stressful. Would definitely recommend to friends and family!

Fantastic experience: Wendy is a credit to RMS Ashington! If it wasn't for her diligence and efforts during the last few weeks of our house purchase, in a long and complicated chain, it could have easily gone on for longer or fallen through all together. Thank you again Wendy!

Fantastic experience: Used Rook Matthews Sayer for a re-mortgage as a returning customer. Rook Matthews were quick to contact us approximately 6 months ago to remind us that our existing mortgage was due to expire, a service we had not received previously from a different mortgage service which had resulted in us transferring to a standard interest rate and costing us more. The Track My Case option was handy to track progress. Alistair Bowman was our advisor a few years ago and recently. He has been so helpful, identifying the best time to search for a mortgage deal, providing regular updates and an alternative contact if he was unavailable and once a provisional deal was agreed, Alistair continued to check the market to ensure we had the most appropriate deal as interest rates continued to change. He has been honest in his advice, confirming that as we are close to paying off our mortgage, this would be the last time we would require a broker as the range of options in future years would be limited. I would have no hesitation in continuing to use Rooks Matthews and especially Alistair and would recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Alister helped us with our mortgage and showed termination and excellent customer service. Always was able to get in touch and was always available when we needed him. Thanks again Alister.

Fantastic experience: Very happy with the service we received. Kept up to date weekly during the sale process.

Positive experience: Always professional, friendly and happy to help.

Fantastic experience: The Forest Hall branch were really good through my whole sale, especially my mortgage Alistair Bowman. Without him and the estate agents pushing the solicitors I am dubious if the sale would have ever complete! First house and I had zero clue, so I just followed all his knowledgeable advise.

Fantastic experience: Dealt with Wendy mainly at the Ashington Branch, to be honest if it hadn't of been for her and the sellers agent we would have never achieved a sale and purchase as the solicitors (Gilson gray) were terrible. We were never told by Gilson Gray we could move in and even up to today we have not been told that although they were mega quick with the bill! We were however told we could by the estate agents as they advised us they had received the money. Both estate agents have been brilliant. I would highly recommend Rook Matthews Sayer in Ashington 100% The whole team are excellent.

Fantastic experience: Mortgage advisor service is absolutely fantastic, Alistair is an expert with a wealth of expertise, and for the last 7 years has been able to set us up with three exclusive mortgage deals for his customers. All of which have been more competitive rates than I could find independently. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend using Alistair and the team for being a first time buyer. They helped with everything, and went above and beyond. Couldn't say anything but the best!

Fantastic experience: Yet again a fantastic service from Alistair at RMS mortgage advice. He was able to get us the best deal to suit our needs in this financially unstable time. We would definitely recommend him and use his services in the future.

Fantastic experience: This was our 2nd time using Alistair for our Mortgage. Couldn't recommend him & his team more. They've made the process as pain free as possible (even given the current climate!). Updates as and when they were needed, a listening ear for any concerns / queries. More than happy to recommend to anyone that is looking for a Mortgage advisor.

Fantastic experience: Alistair Bowman has made mine and my partners experience of buying our first home incredibly simple by explaining everything in extensive detail and supporting us each step of the way. Nothing was too much hassle for Alistair, I would recommend anyone looking for a helpful and genuine mortgage advisor to speak with Alistair. 5 out of 5 star service!

Fantastic experience: Alistair was amazing professional and very efficient i would highly recommend

Fantastic experience: Second time we have used Rook Matthews (Blyth) for a purchase of a property and Alistair from RMS Ashington for Mortgage advice and sorting a mortgage out. Can't fault anything, literally all stress is taken out of it. Alistair on both occasions we have been paired with him has been fantastic, really helpful, communication is brilliant, always there if you need him, and offers good honest advice. We personally wouldn't ever look to use another estate agent which as such is why we've always only looked at properties by RMS as we know staff right through from general admin to the mortgage advisors are good at what they do and won't let you down. We thank you again for helping us in buying such a beautiful house.

Fantastic experience: Friendly and professional staff who always go above and beyond

Fantastic experience: We had a fantastic experience with Rooke Matthews Sayer when buying our first house. Alistair Bowman, a mortgage manager in the firm was brilliant. He took my partner and I through every step of the way, keeping us on the right track and rapidly answering our (many!) questions. He made the whole experience a lot less stressful. We would highly recommend his services.

Fantastic experience: Re-mortgage of our home in a turbulent market and Alistair did everything he could to keep us ahead of the changing times. Thanks again for being so friendly, helpful and efficient.

Fantastic experience: Rooke Matthew sayer helped us by our first and second home, Allister Bowman helped us acquire our offer and he was brilliant he became like a friend to me and my partner explaining every step and checking in on us when he didn’t have to go that extra mile, we wouldn’t use anyone else.

Fantastic experience: Had a brilliant experience from start to finish with Rook Matthews Sayers in Ashington. Alistair Bowman and the ladies in the branch we all brilliant. Alistair from the off was really engaged and listened to my needs, and then in really good time found the perfect mortgage for me. He kept me informed throughout with regular updates, even if it was just a no-info check in but just to say things were still in progress and on track. At every turn he was there to keep us informed and most importantly kept his promise with everything along the way in terms of updates, agreed phone calls, and any general requirements. The ladies in the branch were also brilliant, they also kept me informed throughout, and every time I rang in and asked them to to organise things like additional viewings or general info updates they treat me like a priority, they always acted on the ask and kept me informed within a decent time, again even if they couldn't get in touch with the seller they would give me a quick courtesy call to let me know they have tried but left message and will chase accordingly. Overall I couldn't fault the whole team and the experience received from start to finish was nothing short of brilliant. Thank you all I really did appreciate all your support.

Fantastic experience: I would like to reaffirm my experience in selling my property through the Ashington branch of Rook Mathews Sayers. All of the staff involved were brilliant from start to finish. The initial contact was professional, on time and exact. The publicity photos were done extremely well, and must have helped in the very quick sale of the property in question. I was kept up to speed with progress, sometimes on a daily basis, when advice was sought, it was given freely and expertly. I cannot speak high enough of the service I received, and would highly recommend this company branch to anyone wishing to use there services. Barry Powell

Negative experience: Found to be very poor at communicating, despite leaving numerous voice msgs and sending emails no one replied to anything, I called yet again to speak to some one and they promised a call back with information I requested, no one called back so called again following day and nearly a week later no reply, call again today as still not one phone call back and told gone! would recommend either hiring more staff or really try and work on the communication side of your business!

Fantastic experience: Great advice and honest service - would use again!

Fantastic experience: We recently used the broker service at RMS in Ashington. Alistair Bowman has been a fantastic guide throughout the process of buying our new home - from our opening meeting where he extensively laid out the end to end process to supporting us at each step of the way. We have had a number of issues with solicitors during our purchase and Alistair has constantly provided reassurance with professional and valued input. Alistair was very proactive and chased a number of elements in the process to try and speed up our house move. We are incredibly grateful for the service we received.

Positive experience: A local firm and I was pleased with the service and speed of concluding the sale of my house.

Fantastic experience: After finding my second home on Boxing Day knowing It needed to be mine,I was on the case straight away and what a long wait it was from then till the offices opened. From then I was in touch with Kay Stafford whom was so professional from the offset. I’ve bought another property from another sales agent and I can say that the whole team at Rook Mathew Sayer know what they are doing, not once did I call and never felt like I had toto explain what I was calling for or even for an update. I can’t thank them enough for helping me get on the property ladder for the first time with them not helping me gain my second. I can’t wait to find more with them in the future thank you very much Kay and the team. Mr phone call daily :-)

Fantastic experience: All staff extremely friendly, professional helpful and courteous

Fantastic experience: We'd like to recommend Alistair Bowman as a mortgage advisor. He's helped us with (re)mortgages for a few years now and recently he helped us with the finances around selling and buying. Alistair is an extremely professional and hardworking advisor. Not only is he approachable and always there when you need him, he's also following up with you on a regular basis to see how things are progressing. You do feel that he cares for his clients and you're not only a pay check at the end of the process. When we needed to renew our mortgage offer due to overly long waiting times in the buying process he had it extended in minutes. He had the ball rolling for the fund transfer at the end of the purchase before we were even advised to start the transfer by the solicitors. He seems always on top of the game, which is superb. We would like to thank Alistair and do recommend him without any doubt.

Fantastic experience: Very professional and trustworthy. Helped me complete on my first home with little fuss. Despite the current challenges in the housing market, it seemed to be so simple and straightforward thanks to their help. Alistair in particular was a massive help and I can't recommend him and the branch enough.

Fantastic experience: Angela and the team were amazing from the start. They were honest, friendly and great at communicating throughout the sale of my property. Would definitely recommend them :)

Fantastic experience: Zowie, Angela and the RMS team made our house sale a seamless process! Our sale was completed well ahead of time, and this was thanks to their hard work and efforts in ensuring both sides played their part to meet the tasks and targets required to get us completed early and easily. They kept us up to date (more than they needed too - to put my mind at ease) Thank you again! Also to note - we used the RMS recommended solicitors and could not fault them either, between the two - they worked a dream together.

Fantastic experience: I have purchased 4 houses this year through RMS Ashington branch. I have been guided and helped first and foremost by the wonderful Zowie who has gone above and beyond. Angela and Kay have been there for me also. I would not buy though another estate agent.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fab service from RMS Ashington throughout the 6 months back and forth during our house purchase. Zowie & Kay were so forthcoming with information and kept on top of things for us - thank you for making it so easy, despite solicitors doing the opposite! ☺️

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff.the very professional first class very helpful definitely recommend

Fantastic experience: Myself and my brother recently had to sell my mum's house after her death. We had already had a stressful 18 month journey through probate and a few months of the house on the market with a not very proactive other agent. Due to frustration we gave Rook Matthews Sayer a try. They immediately had viewers and an offer, that sadly fell through but straight away they had more viewers arranged and we soon received another offer. They were in constant communication throughout the process and when there was an issue with first surveyor undervaluing the property they really went out to bat for us and the buyer to get this resolved. They responded to any queries quickly and made the whole process of selling as stress free as possible. My dealings with estate agents in the past both buying and selling have not been too positive so this was a revelation. I would definitely recommend this Ashington office to anyone in the area.

Fantastic experience: Rook Matthews Sayer in Ashington has recently completed the sale of my property. From start to finish they have been professional, approachable and have kept me up to date of any progress that was being made. They have been very helpful in assisting with liaison with solicitors. Excellent customer service throughout! I would definitely recommend and use them again in the future.

Fantastic experience: We worked primarily with Zowie throughout the sales process and she was friendly, professional and helped the process go so smoothly from start to finish. I'd be more than happy to use RMS again should we ever move again.

Fantastic experience: Recently sold my property through Rook Matthews Ashington branch and 5* star service from start to finish. Great prices & always kept in the loop, friendly helpful and efficient. Highly reccomend all the girls in the branch:)

Fantastic experience: Recently purchased with this agent. Had good communication and support from Zowie. Would use them again.

Fantastic experience: Zowie Robinson, at RMS is an absolute star, always helpful and extremely efficient.

Fantastic experience: Just sold my Mam’s bungalow, the service I received was spot on and couldn’t find a fault, I would highly recommend the team.

Fantastic experience: From my first phone call to my last phone call I could not have asked for better service. Zowie Robinson (and the rest of team when she wasn’t available) was absolutely amazing, going above and beyond to make the journey as stress free as possible. I was a first time buyer so a little unsure of how things worked but Zowie offered all the reassurance I needed, and in a language I understand, so there was no jargon or bamboozling. I would not hesitate to use their services again, hopefully not my last purchase. Thank you all so much for the lovely, nearly, hassle free experience. Jayne H (Norris) xxx

Fantastic experience: Good service.

Fantastic experience: Put my house up for sale with rook matthews the Ashington branch found the staff very helpfull, and polite all new they jobs, dealt with Angela nice professional lady and priced my house to sell within two day on the market spot on great team.

Fantastic experience: I've recently purchased a property in Newbiggin by the Sea. The sale was dealt with by the Ashington branch. A professional service throughout and I was kept informed all the way through the process, as to what was happening.

Fantastic experience: From start to finish an excellent service, I can't thank Alistair enough for what he has done for me, buying a home during these current circumstances was made as easy as it could be from him. Even when visiting RMS when it was safe to do so, I felt very safe entering. The team had everything they needed to keep themselves and visitors safe. I would definitely recommend RMS to anyone.. even in these tough times. Thank you all, stay safe

Negative experience: Would have liked to give a better review but feel let down was told that the cash buyer for the sale of the property would like to complete asap 4 months later with a lot of chasing on our part it finally happened. Poor correspondence unless it was to get us to reduce the price think they forgot they were working for and being paid by us to secure the best possible price in the shortest time frame for us the client. This is a Shame because we believed they are the best estate agents in Ashington clearly they are not

Fantastic experience: Alistair is fantastic, i have now used his services for the last 2 remortgages (4 years worth) and i will continue to use him. What he doesnt know about mortgages isnt worth knowing. I really like the way he keeps you updated whether it be small or big. During such testing times he has acted with utter professionalism and i cant recommend him enough.

Fantastic experience: I listed a property for sale in Newbiggin by the Sea with RMS in Ashington. Right from the outset they were professional, easy to deal with and very responsive to any and all of my queries. They sold the property very quickly within the price range that we had previously agreed and then followed up all of the links with solicitors to ensure that the sale progressed smoothly. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them to sell any property in the area.

Fantastic experience: Smooth purchase & all the common hurdles associated when buying the property transitioned without a hiccup. And, all from a distance of over 130 miles as I live in Yorkshire & the purchased property is in Northumberland. Thank you off a happy customer

Fantastic experience: Great service, amazing customer service.

Fantastic experience: All staff were so understanding with the difficult situation of selling a family home. Regular updates meant we were always aware of what stage we were at. Would recommend.

Negative experience: The Morpeth branch is the worst estate agent I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. I must point out this was back in 2014, it can only be hoped that they have improved.

Fantastic experience: 1st class professional service

Fantastic experience: Overall good service in such unprecedented times. Communication was rather difficult at times although this was not the agents fault. Thank you for acting as our agent to sell our house.

Fantastic experience: Great all round service. Especially in these unprecedented times

Negative experience: Not my first choice to use but had to as they were the sellers , always an excuse, short staffed , talk load of cobblers and accused of lying , not following up always had to chase , then couple of snags after sale and they wash here hands on you . Well thanks for nothing.

Fantastic experience: Fab professional service during my house sale. Lisa, Wendy, Kay & Angela were all amazing with me. Well deserved 5 star rating - would definitely use RMS Ashington again. Well done girls & thank you!
