Fantastic experience: Nantwich Branch have an absolutely fantastic Sales Advisor by the name of Tom. I can’t recommend him enough - he assisted us with several viewings recently, knew the history about the property and was very knowledgeable about each property we were viewing, not rushing us and give us time and privacy to discuss each property. He even went out of his way to collect keys for another property they were marketing that we had not made a prior appointment for whilst out visiting the several properties we were viewing. Whilst we were chatting with Tom, he even picked up on the fact we may have a property to sell and promoted Whitegates to manage the proposed sale. Super chap- polite, calm and professional.

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend Whitegates highly enough - brilliant from start to finish throughout my property purchase but I must say a big ‘Thank You’ to Sarah in Sales Progress. I genuinely don’t believe that I would have completed this side of Christmas without her sense of urgency, determination and perseverance (& good humour when I most needed it!). The process went on for almost 6 months and was tricky at best, but Sarah went the extra mile on numerous occasions and didn’t rest until various issues were resolved between solicitors on both sides! Each time we were let down they were quick to act and get us back on the market with viewings immediately and I cant fault them for that. Fantastic experience: James was brilliant in helping us with the enquiry we had for Martin & Co who are no longer working from this location. He called their office to try to sort some stuff out. Ben from Martin & Co promised to respond to my email from over a week previously within the next 10 minutes, so we waited at the office for 20 minutes before giving up. It is now 2 hours since then and I still haven't had the response I was promised. I hope the staff at Martin & Co learn to copy James's customer service. It was lots better than anything I have had from their staff.

James went over and above to help us with our property search and although in times like these, we could trust James to leave our house exactly as it was and were confident that we where safe. Negative experience: Put an offer on a house, got accepted, sorted the mortgage out and the solicitors, had the searches done then they pulled out and with shocking customer service.

Fantastic experience: We used Nick at Whitegates and found the service to be very good. He was very professional and personable and would highly recommend using him.

Negative experience: We looked at a property to buy, put in an offer. Either the vendor or Jim the estate agent lied and said there had been a family issue and someone needed to move into the property so the vendor hadn't considered our offer and he would get back to me with a update the next day. However no one has moved in and viewings are still happening, clearly trying to keep us on the hook while they wait for a bigger offer. No updates as promised and no need to lie

Negative experience: I only have experience of them as a prospective purchaser, not as a seller. As a purchaser they offer a pretty shocking level of customer service compared with other estate agents I have dealt with before now. They can rarely answer any questions you have and don’t even seem to see that as an issue. They never get back to you when they say they will and any communication you do have comes across as being complacent and indifferent. I wouldn’t choose to sell a house through them now I know how they treat prospective purchasers. Their attitude must have an impact on the amount of sales they make.

Fantastic experience: We were very pleased with the approach taken when the house was first inspected and a valuation given. We were confident that we would be entrusting the sale of the property to an efficient and effective agency with a good likelihood of an early sale. This was particularly important to us as we live a three hour drive from the property we were selling and it was imperative that it did not remain on the market for too long Our initial impression has been borne out over the past three months. The valuation was clearly on the mark as a number of viewings followed very quickly once the property was put on the market. A prospective cash purchaser wanting an early completion was identified and a purchase price quickly negotiated. When the purchase slowed down, we found Whitegates to be very helpful by chasing up the prospective purchaser. Because of the distances involved in us visiting the property, we found Whitegates assistance in taking meter readings and dealing with the handover of the keys to be extremely valuable. We always found the staff to be very helpful when speaking to them on the phone and were always phoned back promptly if we left a message.
