Positive experience: Only dealt with them 5 years ago as being tenants in a house that was sold. The agent made me feel very belittled and in the end I "presented" the property to the investor. We are still her tenants. She was also earlier at the estate than agreed and called the then landlord to ask why she does not have access. Be on time. That's the simplest answer.

Fantastic experience: Chloe - thank you so much for you help and apologies this review took a while to write. Myself and my partner bought a house through Chloe at Tate & Co. While my partner had a nightmare scenario with the selling of her property, we were so lucky to have had Chloe support us on the buying side. At 4 o clock on the moving day we still didn't have keys (selling solicitors issue). Without Chloe staying late and pushing the move forward, then myself, my partner and our 6 week old son would have been without a home for the evening. If you're buying or selling your house there's no one I'd trust more than Chloe. Thank you for going above and beyond

Fantastic experience: Tate & Co don’t sell houses. They sell homes. A small business means they really get to know you and you get to know them! Their marketing and selling of homes shows their keen eye for detail and putting your property in the best light. They provide ideas and recommendations to ensure you get the best price - Amy has the biggest box of tricks to make the images taken jump off the page. They use professional photography and take their time to make sure the pictures really show the wonderful (and sometimes strange!) details in your property. Chloe spends her days making sure your sale goes through as smoothly as possible, she will relentlessly ring all parties involved to push your sale through to the end. No matter how much is going on, she will always know where your sale is at and let you know what your next steps need to be. Throughout the sale of our home the whole team have worked relentlessly, always supporting us when things got tough, to make sure we achieve a sale that has led to the purchase of our dream home. I’m very excited to see how this business moves forward, the addition of Ken means a continued ambition towards excelling in their field. I would highly recommend taking the time to talk to this team when considering selling your home. If I ever take the plunge and decide to move again, I know they will be the first people I call! However, they came by recommendation and were absolutely wonderful to deal with throughout my house sale. It was sold before even appearing on their website and I was kept updated throughout the process. Without doubt a better class of service!

From Ben providing a strong but rational value for our property, to Amy showing clients around and to them ultimately securing asking price, right through to being able to deal with the ever-patient Chloe in the office they were wonderful. It just so happened that they dealt with our sale and purchase on this move, and I would honestly not move with anyone else in future. Their advice and support leave (from what I have heard) other estate agents standing, and you only have to look at their photos to realise that they are genuinely setting your property up to stand out from the crowd. Fantastic experience: Where to start! One of the ladies at Tate & Co has been outstanding and that lady is Chloe. For the last 4 months she has been phoning, emailing, following up, checking, phoning again, emailing everyone in the very long chain and offering reassurance. Tate is not even my estate agent but I wish it had been. We have just exchanged today and I am positive we would not have got to this stage after all the delays and problems if it had not been for Chloe. What an amazing and very conscientious lady. Fantastic experience: Such a wonderful team.

Negative experience: So heartless and unprofessional. We were packed up ready to move with a 3m old baby. These agents barely bothered to answer the phone, were rude when they did and eventually lied to our faces saying the vendors were taking the property off the market when in fact they had accepted another higher offer from a third party. Waste of time, energy, money and emotion.

Fantastic experience: Tate Rowlands sold our house within a few hours of the house being fully marketed. It was also sold to the first couple through the door who said "yes" within 30 minutes. Our house was immaculate to begin with, but the team at Tate Rowlands (including their professional photographer) put their marketing stamp on it to amazing effect. The marketing (digital and paper based) is far beyond anything other local agents can offer. Additionally the communication all the way until sale completion was outstanding... timely and professional nothing was any trouble at all. Amy and Ben have everything run like clockwork and are supported by their fantastic team. I would not hesitate to use Tate Rowlands again in the future.

Fantastic experience: Tate Rowlands were most helpful with my onwards purchase with them and also assisted me with my sale when it wasn't even their listing. Laura especially was calming, incredibly helpful, reassuring, and equally determined as I was to make the transaction as smooth as possible. Laura, Ben and Carol also went above and beyond to try to minimise the stress of the transaction and often unreasonable demands of the chain with professionalism, kindness, empathy and the will to carry on. Fantastic experience: Amazing service from Tate Rowlands. Sold our house within 3 weeks, couldn’t have been more helpful in the process. When the sale almost fell through because our solicitors and the purchasers solicitors weren’t listening to him, Tate Rowlands intervened and got everything back on track. As a result we spent Christmas in our dream home. We don’t plan on moving again, but if we did, our first call would be to Tate Rowlands and their fantastic team.

Fantastic experience: Lovely staff always there to help you with anything you need.

Positive experience: After a promising start it became a little rocky with a rather poor staff member who left shortly afterwards, but equilibrium was regained after a meeting with Ben, and renewed effort in marketing and pursuing leads which I don't think we'd have got with other agents. Some frustrations along the way, but on the whole, whilst more expensive they did deliver a sale in the end. So I'd recommend especially if you have a more unusual property to sell. But the key thing to remember is they are still estate agents and you do have to keep on their radar, keep in touch, push, cajole and chase. Not perfect, but certainly better than the rest, and maybe even better now almost 18 months has passed. Worth shortlisting.

Negative experience: Terrible experience dealing with these. My advice-if you can use anyone else -do so!! We sold with Reid and Roberts in 2 weeks - they were great. We bought with NewHomes4u - they were absolutely 5 star! Talk about different ends of the spectrum in service!! After the sellers pulled out on day of signing telling 3 sets of lies to different people (apparently we had pulled out?! Which left us homeless!!) the staff at Tate Rowlands said they were "horrified" and "so sorry" and they wouldn't deal with the sellers again as they had pulled out once before .... 4 months later it pops up on Rightmove that they are selling for them again!

Negative experience: Everything was perfectly fine with them until completion date - we got keys from their office and apparently - no one checked the house after previous owners left. The house we wanted to buy was looking completely different than the house we went into. Previous owners apparently decided to devastate the house they're leaving which will cost us a fortune to fix now, but neither solicitor nor this agency want to take a blame for it.
