Positive experience: AVOID GILSON GREY. No issues with the estate agents, but if they recommend Gilson Grey as your conveyancer, don't do it. I've never met a more useless bunch of "professionals". I've spent more than 2 weeks and 30 phonecalls trying to get someone to send in forms for my LISA deposit, a 5 minute task. Can't complete my purchase until then.

Without kyle, judy and the rest of the bridgfords team id have been lost. They do alot more than just the buying and selling. Fantastic experience: We brought and sold via Bridgefords Buxton in 2022. The land registry and both sets of solicitors left a lot to be desired, constantly using Covid backlog as an excuse for their lack of efficiency. I certainly wouldn’t be offering them a 5 star review but to say that, despite all of that I can still give the estate agent a 5 star review during what was likely the most stressful time of our lives is evidence of what a good job they (Judy) did. I’ve dealt with estate agents in the past and seen how they can be only interested when their commission was at risk. Judy was amazing throughout, nothing was too much trouble, communication was excellent and if it hadn’t have been for Judy we would have walked away from the transaction, during at least one of the land reg/solicitor setbacks. We’re now settled into our new home and can’t be thankful enough.

Fantastic experience: We switched to Bridgefords after a very poor experience with a local estate agent. From the initial meeting to the completion date(s) John, Judy and Abbey were always there making sure everything went ahead as planned. Prior to marketing Judy and Abbey visited the property to view for themselves so they could talk from experience when talking to prospective buyers. When we hit a problem at the bottom of the chain, Judy stepped in and helped rescue the situation enabling the sale to proceed at a slightly later date, but most importantly we were in for Christmas! The quality of viewers were all 1st rate, each viewer were what we would class as viable, either on the market or under offer, in the end we had 3 prospective buyers. This was very different to the previous estate agents we used, great deal of "House Viewing Tourists"! Fantastic experience: Honestly couldn't ask for any better. I do believe that we sold at a good time, but from the moment John came into our house to value I could tell that we were dealing with agents who went the extra mile. Not only did he give us the best valuation (in our opinion) he really went to the effort of 'selling' Bridgfords to us, backing up their performance with stats and insights. All other agents we had round simply valued then left - lazy. From the second we put the house on the market with Bridgfords they had people lined up to view it and I'm delighted to say that we had competing offers within days of going on the market and we'd agreed a sale at the asking within 4 days! All in, from going on the market to completing and moving out was 10 weeks, as I say, you can't ask for better than that. The whole team in Buxton were friendly, helpful and great at communicating with us throughout the process. A big thanks to John and his team, I can't recommend them highly enough!

Negative experience: Unfortunately I cannot report a good service, my experience of Bridgfords Buxton has been very different. Rude staff who simply do not contact you when they say they will. I have had to chase everything from them, and still do not have the paperwork. I would not use them to sell my house.

Fantastic experience: Would recommend the team at Bridgefords without hesitation. They were friendly, professional and always there when we needed them, nothing was too much trouble and they even helped us put in an offer on the house we were buying which is nothing to do with them! We needed a fast sale and they were able to achieve that for us, we really felt we got our money's worth and that we were in good hands. Good job guys.

Fantastic experience: Helpful staff to help you sell your house

Positive experience: Bridgefords weren't who we finally bought our house off, but I wanted to mention them here as they were extremely helpful in our search. We dealt with Katie Gooding at the Buxton branch who listened to our requirements and immediately understood what it was we were looking for so that she could recommend properties. It is amazing how many estate agents don't listen to what you're requirements are! I can't comment on actually buying or selling, but for the search I would definitely recommend Katie of Bridgefords

Fantastic experience: We sold are house with Bridgfords in January 2015 after having it up with a local estate agent (John Mellors) for nearly a year with no joy.
