Going to miss our regular Friday afternoon catchups, thanks Mark for all your hard work and support. WE GOT THERE!!!

Professional, punctual always and kept us informed all the time through the sales process. The result was a speedy, stress free transaction. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thanks Mark.

Negative experience: I have emailed several times via Rightmove and their website regarding a property to let and haven't had any response from either ,I have also tried calling several times with no answer, not really promising as a perspective tenant ...or for that matter landlord or perspective buyer/seller if they are this unresponsive to enquiries

Fantastic experience: Thank you so much to Sara and her team for finding me and my daughter our first home! From my first point of contact to handing the keys over, everything was seamless! Thank you! I would highly recommend the Bridlington Rentals office whether you're a landlord or tenant looking for a property. Once again, thank you!

Fantastic experience: Like them, very helpful.

Fantastic experience: Always sort out my problems finding a letting for my wood business, thank you.

Negative experience: Avoid!! Waste of time and unprofessional. I contacted Harris Shields on Thursday 11th to book a house viewing for Saturday the 13th at 12, they rang me later on Thursday to change time to 11am. I arrived at the property at 10:50, waited till 11am, Harris Shields no show. I contacted their office twice while waiting and no answer. I have not had any person from this company contact me to apologize or give me a reason for not showing up. Wasted my time and fuel travelling to the property.

Fantastic experience: I would just like to say, that we have found Fiona and John in the Bridlington Sales Office extremely helpful and very knowledgeable, as well as, very friendly and welcoming. This is our first foray into buying a property together and the whole team in Bridlington could not have made things any easier. I can thoroughly recommend them to anyone wishing to buy a property in the Bridlington area.

Fantastic experience: 5 stars for Harris Sheild and especially Fiona. She has followed our journey from before lockdown and at last we have completed on a property in Bridlington. The service has been excellent and the process easy. Thanks Karen

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Harris Shields, the lovely ladies did all my viewings for me, for sale of my apartment. Fantastic service.

Fantastic experience: Friendly, helpful staff kept us informed throughout the process, thanks you

Positive experience: Lovely apartments with a great view

Negative experience: I have been with them for 12 years, but recently signed a tenancy with another property of theirs, the property was dirty, some things needed fixing, it was almost like it hadn't been checked, the property I was leaving had a check list of how it should be left, CLEAN! when I told the agent I didn't expect to be doing a thorough clean before I could decorate, I got a shrug of the shoulders 'we don't have time to go through it with a fine tooth comb' no 'I'm sorry, it shouldn't have been left that way' just plain indifference!! I feel loyalty is with the landlord and certainly not with the tenant.

Fantastic experience: Harris Shield Bridlington would highly recommend John and the Team. Professional, friendly service from start to finish in the sale of our house. Thank you

Negative experience: Had a viewing they didn't turn up, cancelled me instead of someone else. Did send someone else out, booked another viewing on a different property when I phoned to confirm, they had the wrong date, then said there shouldn't be a viewing cause its sold. I dont think they know whats going on

Fantastic experience: We have just completed on a property and what a great service we received. Right from the viewing by John up to completion. Fiona and Vicki have been great at keeping us informed at what stage the sale was at from start to finish. And even helped us with the solicitors roll at times, to push the sale through faster when solicitors where dragging their feet. I would definitely buy, sell or rent from Harris shields they couldn’t of done enough for us. Thanks again Paul & Caitlin

They were personal, friendly and professional throughout which made the process much less stressful. Nothing was too much trouble and we would have no hesitation in recommending them. Really appreciated all they did. Ian & Margaret Gannon

Fantastic experience: My wife and I are currently in the process of seller a property and moving further north. We have found them to be really helpful, responsive and informative.

Fantastic experience: Today I have just completed on a house sale in Bridlington and used Harris Shields for the first time. Would highly recommend this local estate agent, from start to finish they have been very helpful, kept me up to date on what was happening and always there with answers to any questions I had. John & his team were excellent and especially Fiona in the office who made a point of always been on the end of the telephone when needed, and always went above and beyond to help. I will defiantly be using Harris Shields again in the future and would certainly recommend them to anyone looking at buying or selling.

Negative experience: Be very cautious when putting in an offer on 43 St Columba Road, Bridlington. The lady owner is the niece of John Harris so I’m not sure if this is the reason for his unscrupulous behaviour. We had a cash offer accepted by the vendor on Wednesday 3rd June. However we still hadn’t moved in and were nowhere near being about to move in on Wednesday 6th October when we withdrew our offer. The extension and alterations that have been completed don’t have any paperwork or were checked as building progressed by the local authority building inspector. On the searches this property is listed as having an unauthorised extension. The vendors constantly told the ladies in the office that they were talking daily to the council and that the certificate was on its way. They also claimed that the electric certificate was on its way as well. It later turned out that more work needed to be completed before he would issue one and that no application has been made to the local authority for a building certificate. Our survey showed a partially blocked sewer under the garage but the vendors claimed that there was no problem. We are absolutely amazed that given all of these issues that Harris Shield has put the property back on the market. I just hope that some other poor people don’t end up being in the same situation as us. We didn’t want to loose our buyers so bought a small touring caravan, which we thought we would be in for a few weeks, but have been in it since 9th July. The ladies in the office are lovely, but John Harris doesn’t ring you when he promises to and clearly has no conscience or sense of responsibility towards his buyers.

Negative experience: I enquired about a property for sale in Bridlington by email, not once but twice! No reply what so ever. This must be very concerning for the seller that the agent doesn’t follow up sales enquirers. So, sellers beware, this is not the way to sell your property. No wonder most of us are switching to on line services.

Fantastic experience: The property was beautiful. The agent who showed me around the property was very polite and knowledgeable about the property and the area/demographics. I'm still deciding what to do but the information I got is invaluable.

Negative experience: It's too much like hard work to reply to your emails or queries via Rightmove. It might be silly season for sales right now but if you can't look after customers then you don't deserve the business. Sellers heed my warning.

Fantastic experience: Excellent.

Fantastic experience: Well what can I say, this is the best estate agents I have come across, sold our house in no time. The staff are a credit to Harris Shields they are absolutely dedicated to their work. They have been there for me all the way. Always happy , cheerful, you can ring anytime with any problem they will help and it’s not a problem to them. Keep up the good work ladies.

Fantastic experience: John Harris is second to none in the Estate Agent world, both commercial and residential. Top Class attentive service every time.

Fantastic experience: a big thank you to everyone at harris shield for their efficency ,professionalism, great practical knowledge, commonsense approach in dealing with every aspect of the housing market. It also helps having a good sense of humour[which they all have ].I would highly recommend them to everybody.

Positive experience: Just a basic coffee and sandwich cafe a bit dark but comfortable and inexpensive

Positive experience: Professional and polite

Fantastic experience: We had the property up with another estate agent in the town for 6 months and had one offer that fell through, we then changed to Harris Shields and had as many viewings in a month with an offer and a sale. They worked very hard on my behalf and I thank them for this. Over the years we have had a number of buy to let properties and I have had no problem with this company. Well done and keep up the good work! Tony

Fantastic experience: A great experience through out, many thanks everyone

Fantastic experience: Great team at Harris shields ,great relaxed experience house sold in two days....what more can I say ,thanks again.

Fantastic experience: I have recently been dealing with Harris Shields in Bridlington and the girls in the office are really helpful and friendly they are looking after two flats I have and they are managing in them very well I recommend Harris Shields for buying selling and rentals they are 10 out of 10 to me anyway

Fantastic experience: Lovely people to deal with, friendly, approachable, go the extra mile to accommodate you. It's good to have an estate agent with genuine local knowledge, mainly because they were born, raised and live right here in Bridlington. Harris Shields gives a personal touch to the often chainstore feel of many of the big estate agents.

Negative experience: Your web site is not very navigable. I asked for properties in Bridlington and did NOT want to look at properties in Scarborough .
