Fantastic experience: Liz Wright has been an amazing agent with our journey in looking to rent so far, is very supportive and informative (: very happy with the company and recommend to anyone searching for a place to live to go to them. Especially being a young couple, we find some estate agents do not take us seriously in my previous experience however Porters has proved me wrong and that some are incredibly nice.

I found one through Porters and I have to say they were amazing throughout the application. I also had some issue on my end with the application, which was quite stressful but I was reassured that all would be fine the stress was taken away by the hard work and effort from the staff at Porters. Fantastic experience: Porters have been managing my rental properties for many years and I have always found them to be excellent. They communicate very well with me and with the tenants and they take care of any issues that arise with the properties quickly and efficiently, always keeping me well informed and involved in any decisions that may need to be made. On the few occasions that a tenant has left one of my properties Porters have found good new tenants and I think that their fees for managing a change of tenancy with a new contract etc. are quite reasonable. The last tenant that left after some years in one of the properties told me that he was very happy with the way that it was managed by Porters and that they responded quickly and effectively to any issues that he raised. They have also been excellent at keeping abreast of all of the changes required by the Welsh government, giving me good advice and taking care of practical changes such as the fitting of mains powered smoke detectors. I don’t need to worry about any regular maintenance requirements such as annual Gas Safety Certificates because Porters take care of everything. To summarise, I highly recommend Porters to any Landlord and to anyone that may be considering renting a property that’s managed by them.

Negative experience: Took over £300 out of the deposit. It was cleaner when we moved out than when we moved in. I've been renting for 20 years and never lost a single penny from a deposit. Can't recommend obviously

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing estate agents! The whole team was fantastic during the initial process of renting a property, so friendly and always there to help with any queries we had. Having never rented before, they made us feel so supported and lessened any anxieties that we had around the renting process. Throughout our tenancy so far, they have continued to be brilliant! With any issues we have had, they have kept us constantly updated on any progress and have continued to be friendly and professional throughout it all. Would highly recommend porters, especially if you are looking to rent for the first time!

Negative experience: The worst agency we have used as tenants ever. Every slight issue was neglected and it took weeks for it to be sorted. In some cases they issues such as water leaking from upstairs bathroom to the kitchen were never solved. The whole team is just a bunch of kids throwing fits and shouting and screaming at you over the phone when you want basic things to work in the property such as opening/closing windows in the bathroom. Honestly, I strongly advise to stay away. As I said, you cannot take the blame for poor cleaning standards and issues simple such as window handle being stuck. I had to chase you for 6 weeks as you did not contact me once. You can listen to the phone call where you had no idea how to deal with the issue and the attitude that one of you colleagues had. You treat tenants as we are less than a human. Luckily, we purchased a property so we don't have to deal with people like you any more. I hope that you have lovley time and maybe learn something about customer services at some point.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic ladies working here! Sherrie and Liz are absolute legends!! They guided us through all the legal processes required to be able to let a property out! I cannot emphasise how much these lovely ladies know about the pit falls and certifications, legal requirements that they bring to your attention before you end up making a decision.. They’re really considerate an conscientious of people’s circumstances and really take that into account.. They’ve guided us through the process with letting to the utmost scrutiny, and what is involved, with fees, safety certifications, maintenance, and fees! I first went with Peter Alan to try and sell the property… But they couldn’t sell a worm to a Robbin… That’s how dire it was! So, if you want to do a rental then porters are the ones! They’re not doing sales at the moment.. But maybe within the future?? Who knows Highly recommend them! For sure!!!

Negative experience: Horrible people if you are a Tennant. They must all follow the managing directors attitude. She's vile. I would not rent,buy or sell a house through them if they were free.

From our viewing to the process afterwards, they provided a quick and efficient service but most importantly were lovely to deal with even in the middle of Lockdowns where everyone was unsure of pretty much everything! All our questions were answered and we were kept up to date without having to ask for updates. We received a follow up email today checking in on us and how things are going which is a lovely touch. Fantastic experience: I've been using Porter's managed tenancy service as a landlord for a number of years now and they're always incredibly easy to deal with. The staff are courteous and helpful every time. Arranging new tenants, property inspections and property maintenance is always done promptly with minimal effort needed on my part.

Fantastic experience: I recently bought my new home through Porters. This was after many months of looking for something suitable, via a number (pretty much ALL) of the local estate agents. During this time, I viewed quite a few properties, and naturally got to see how the various agents worked. Matthew, who greeted me at all of my Porters viewings, was fabulous. I was impressed that he remembered me, my situation, and what I was looking for, from viewing number two onwards. Also, while most agents were pretty passive (and some, completely disinterested!) during viewings, Matthew was positive, and great at making suggestions as to how the various properties could be used or modified, to match my needs. Really, I didn't see any of the other agents go to the same lengths. As for the rest of the team at Porters - I received great service from them too. They were all very professional, friendly, and responsive. If/when the time comes for me to sell my nome, I will be definitely be giving Porters a call.

Negative experience: Estate agent didn't do a good job of trying to sell the property to us, felt like he judged us immediately and started talking negatively about the property and suggested we wouldn't be able to afford to look after it. Seems he saw us as buyers who wouldn't be willing to pay above the asking price and cares more about the bonus he'd get from convincing someone to pay over.

Fantastic experience: I have used Porters for the sale of two houses and bought one through them. They are a fabulous team, professional, approachable and understanding. Matthew and the team were absolutely amazing helping me with my most recent sale in which there were numerous complications and they worked with me to make sure I didn’t lose the sale. They dealt with the situation proactively but delicately given circumstances. While I had more to do with Matthew than other members of the team they were always helpful when Matthew was on holiday or caught up on viewings. I can’t recommend Porters enough!

Fantastic experience: I’m so happy I went through Porters! The most efficient estate agents I’ve been with. I had contacted to enquire about a rental. I was responded to very fast! I asked a question which was passed straight on to the landlord and I got a response the same day. It made things a lot easier as we were really keen on this place. Matthew was incredibly friendly and professional during the viewing. Very understanding and helpful. He made sure we knew what to do by explaining to get our application in as soon as possible as he knew how much we loved the place. Maintenance is fantastic compared to what I had been through Peter Alan. I had constant emails from Paris updating me with the property and referencing. Professional and caring which makes all the difference. Everything was taken care of fast, which was great. I’m so thankful she was so efficient because it made everything run smoothly. Fantastic experience: So after a traumatic 18 months dealing with some awful estate agents like Peter Allan selling our house we used porters to find our next home !! Well all the stress and worry disappeared Sherrie and the porters staff were a different class in fact for sure the best Estate Afentd we have dealt with in Bridgend . Fantastic experience: As a landlord i use Porters to manage my property for me. I find the service excellent in every aspect, from finding tenants through to the move out report. The regular property inspection reports are very informative giving me confidence that the property is being looked after and well maintained. Would highly recommend to anyone else thinking about using their services.

Negative experience: Absolute scam of an estate agents. I've used many in the past which I thought were bad but Porters takes that cake. They charge you a non refundable fee on a house that isn't even ready to be moved into, they lie and give you dates then go past those dates again and again with little to no communication. The house advertised was "available immediately", yet the previous tenants were still there almost 2 months later when we were finally given a move in date which obviously was not needed anymore as we had to change our plans. Then no refund is given as if it was our fault they took 2 months to give us a move in date. Absolute joke of a company avoid at all cost. Will be getting my refund through small claims courts.

Negative experience: Turned up for a viewing today, along with another couple to be told that it had gone that day. The agent said that he had asked the office to cancel with us. Having checked with the office, who said they had called us twice but was unable to leave a voicemail. The mobile number is able to receive voicemails, there was no missed calls and no text message! Wasted an afternoon off work to travel 46 mins for an unnecessary journey. Very poor service. Would not recommend.

Fantastic experience: After reviewing several estate agents in the area of Bridgend we decided to put our home on the market with Porters Estate Agents. We felt the company was professional and offered the better value for money in regards to a fixed fee. We also felt they knew the area well and would sell the house better with this knowledge. We were certainly not let down and the house sold within 48 hours of being on the market - Matthew and the team handled the sale really well and made it a stress free experience.

Negative experience: Rude, arrorgant, unhelpful, Particuarily Matthew, who is unable to pass on messages and return calls. If my wife did not like this rental, I would never use them. I know I now have a year of having to deal with this agent. I cannot knock the v pleasent lady who showed me and my wife around the property. Think it may of been Lynn

Negative experience: Awful customer service. They were fully aware we had to travel 25 miles to the property but then cancelled on us 10 minutes before the viewing with no real apology. If we've travelled all that way, chances are we were already nearby, would have been nice to have called us into the branch to talk about some upcoming properties that would suit us. Instead it was a swift goodbye. Well Wyn, it's goodbye from us too. Avoid this place like the plague.
