Negative experience: I was selling my property through another branch of Pygott & Crone and hopefully purchasing through them. Quite frankly they have caused me so much stress I wish I had never heard of them! So I will not be doing either. They fail to understand what it is like living with a Physical Disability. And excruciating pain! Which I have learned to live with! But I can do this/that . Perhaps I should do a half marathon while I am at it! Not all Disabilities are visible!

From our very first contact, Adam was incredibly quick to respond and provided us with all the information we needed to arrange our house valuation. The information sent through by email was clear, detailed and really helpful. Ed Nearn then came out to carry out the valuation, and the service he has provided has been brilliant. Nothing has been too much trouble, and he has always been professional, personable and extremely helpful. He has genuinely gone the extra mile for us, and we have really appreciated his time, advice and support throughout. Negative experience: Dear Buyers or sellers after the way my wife and myself were treated by Pygott and Crone in them selling my father's house they should be totally and utterly ashamed of themselves. Ian Pygott came out to my father's property, valued the property and then showed their charges in which to sell the property. Which was too much, so I then called their offices and spoke to Kevin outlined our situation and he dropped the fee price and over ruled Ian Pygott and put £1,500 on the asking price and then indelably told us he would personally oversee the progression of the sale to which was a lie. We then found ourselves several times a week chasing for updates and answers to questions, to no avail. Also I bring to your attention they use the services of a warehouse conveyancing team and from the start of the sale we were talked nearly into going with them, but even before we had sold the property bearing in mind this warehouse conveyancing team was strictly no sale no fee and what do you know even before my father's property had sold or even people interested they were hounding ourselves for monies upfront!!!. So we then went with our own professional solicitor and then once the sale got underway my solicitor became very agitated with this warehouse conveyancing team because they had been talked into using these substandard conveyances who held up the sale by many many weeks. It is with great regret that I have had to put this review on Google but unfortunately Pygott and Crone are in total denial of the fact they were only predominantly worried about getting their fee. We only but wished in hindsight we would have gone with Newton Fallowell and after reading this if you are about to sell your property give Newton Fallowell a try. As Pygott and crone are all about the money.

Negative experience: I would not recommend this company or the solicitors they recommend, Howells to anyone. Our purchase was chain-free, so it should have been straightforward, yet it turned into an incredibly stressful and frustrating experience. We had our offer accepted in the first week of February, and months later we were still waiting for a completion date. Throughout the process, communication was poor, there was constant miscommunication between parties, and no one could give us a realistic timeframe or any clear updates. We were left completely in the dark. In the end, we had no choice but to withdraw from the purchase, losing money in the process because there was simply no indication of when or if the transaction would ever complete. This has been an extremely disappointing experience, and I would not recommend using this company or their recommended solicitors.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service and communication. Very good price and by far the best agents in lincolnshire, I wouldn’t use anyone else to sell. Other agents valued my house lower and tried to suggest that Pygott and Crone over priced and it would take ages to sell. Well they were wrong and I sold on the second viewing at their ‘inflated price’. I had loads of viewings too! Over 15k more than other valuations. Money in my pocket!

Negative experience: Extremely poor service from the Sleaford branch. The staff were unhelpful and showed no real interest in assisting with renting a property. Despite meeting all the stated requirements, I was still refused viewings, with no clear explanation. The process felt biased and unfair, and communication was dismissive and unprofessional. A very frustrating experience. I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere.

Negative experience: Chose Pygott & Crone despite being quite expensive but everyone told us we would get a flurry of viewings but for us nothing which we were surprised about as we live on a popular street. We did take a break over the Summer and now have taken our property off the market being jaded with the whole process. I imagined selling would be like a partnership between us and our agents but honestly we got not contact unless it was to say did we want to drop the price. No suggestions or real feedback from the team and we just felt like we were unimportant and not getting a service. Lets face it, houses mostly sell from being on Rightmove and the 'art' of selling houses is gone. We will sell but will choose another agent who dont charge £300 for taking our home off the market and will choose wisely in future.

Sold our house in just a couple of weeks and guided us through the particularly tricky procedure of actually completing the process. Lucinda and Emily were very thorough in initial proceedings, giving helpful advice on marketing etc and Tina kept on top of all the important stuff dealing with all the relevant parties in a very professional manner. Would definitely recommend them and although I hope not to move again in a hurry would certainly not hesitate to use their services again.

Negative experience: Doesn’t keep you updated or your property marketed so you get a flurry of initial viewings and then nothing afterwards. They booked viewings where the viewer had already put in an offer on another property and will accept potential viewings even if the prospective buyer isn’t on the market let alone in a proceedable position, so a lot of time wasting for everyone involved. Despite repeated requests to improve marketing and stimulate interest, there was little movement. Then when you wish to exit the selling agreement because you feel as though you aren’t getting the care and attention you expect, the managing director won’t budge on the £300 termination fee that is written into the contract. There seems to be no responsibility or accountability for them, but will hold you fully accountable if you attempt to leave.

Negative experience: As a tenant, I would not recommend Pygott & Crone to ANYONE that is looking to rent a property. Pygott & Crone, specifically Gabrielle who works for their rental team, represent atrocious landlords that treat their tenants as if they are a cash cow. I am a single occupant, under 30 years old, and I have lived in 5 different rental properties, this is the first one in my life that has claimed my security deposit; for something as silly as a missing light bulb. I have stayed at the property for over 4 years, which when I moved in, still required work. The carpets were not cleaned, parts of the stairwell needed repainting after damage was caused by the previous tenant, there were no curtains on the windows (which I left behind after my tenancy) and the boiler was already on it's way out, but never replaced in the 4 years I stayed there, despite the fact I needed to let pressure into it practically every other day to maintain working order. Pygott & Crone's post-tenancy report stated, and I quote, "Based on the duration of the tenancy, it would be unreasonable to make deductions to the tenant's deposit." and yet they allowed the landlord to do so for 3 light bulbs, an oven tray (which was cleaned before I left by a professional cleaner), gardening fees (despite having been moved out for 4 weeks in the height of summer), and costs for removal of an LED light strip that I left behind in the office simply because I thought the new tenant might appreciate them. I was charged a total of £240 from my security deposit for cutting back a hedge, taking down an LED strip and repainting a single wall; despite the tenancy being over 4 years long. Pygott & Crone emphasizes an already terrible power imbalance between landlord and tenants, then claims they are impartial when they have the potential to protect young tenants that are already struggling in the current housing market; and as such I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. As guilty as the landlords they support. Stay clear and do not use them.

Negative experience: I spent 8 weeks with this agency at the prime selling time trying to find someone there who was interested in selling my house and at the right price. I felt at each stage I had to do the thinking for them. The person who did the 3 viewings didn’t appear to know significant information on the house: price, how long on the market, mains drains. The only efficient activity they achieved was to send me the £300 cancellation bill when I told them I was going to transfer to another estate agent. The reality is I’d have paid double that to move on. They’re big, so don’t expect a proactive personal service. If you want to do all the thinking for yourself try Purple Bricks. I just chose a smaller agent.

Negative experience: Absolutely appalling thier requirments and unreasonable and a farce stay away from this company !!!

Negative experience: I would not buy a property from these people even if it was my dream property!! Due to their lies, being told our offer was accepted and no viewings would go ahead, we then were told the next day that a viewing took place and a higher offer accepted. Now there is nothing else on the market in our price range and we have to move in with my mother!
