Negative experience: After telling my parents their house was worth £75k more than they got for it and over a year without viewings, after reducing the price by above said amount they finally got a buyer. They had done nothing up until that point and still stayed relatively mute whilst the sale went through! Was not impressed at all with their customer services. Would not recommend!

Fantastic experience: A fabulous service from start to completion. Everyone at Millbanks was friendly and professional and the level of service and care is above and beyond what I expected. Emails are sent out regularly which link to your very own portfolio of properties based on your search criteria. The online media packs for the houses that are on the market are the best I have seen and include not only photos and floorplans, but lots of other info including planning history, info on services at the property, EPC and local infrastructure too. Once my offer had been accepted, I was updated every week with exactly what was going on with my purchase, without having to chase. Overall a great service and I would highly recommend!

Negative experience: AVOID AT ALL COSTS An updated review as my two year tenancy with millbanks was pure hell on earth. They bungle repairs, send unbelievably snotty and unhelpful emails and have an inability to do the work that they are seemingly paid to do. Not only was the property completely not suitable for habitation due to damp, mould and leaks but I genuinely believe I have shaved years of my life from the stress of living in a property managed by them. Renters beware.

Negative experience: I would strongly advise renters against using Millbank as a letting agency, and even moreso against landlords entrusting their property assets to this team if they intend to see them safely and professionally managed. Property inspections are overly frequent, and can sometimes lean towards the nitpicky - occasionally advising on details about one's property that are simply incorrect. Utility breakdowns in a rental property - indicated as the landlord and agents' responsibility under contract - are essentially treated as the tenants' job to solve. The Millbank letting team will simply give up coordinating repairs at your property if doing so risks becoming hard work for them, and will fob off the responsibility of coordinating said repairs to tenants, contrary to contract. Millbanks seemingly believes it is appropriate for significant harm to both the tenant's home and the landlord's property asset to go unsolved for over six months. If you point out the questionable ethics and legalities of this situation, you are met with gaslighting, misleading statements and genuine bafflement. The team are extremely biased towards landlords over tenants, and demonstrate a shockingly poor appreciation of tenants' legal rights, up to and including outsourcing the landlord's administrative duties through false urgency, harassment and coercion directly towards tenants themselves - all while collecting a handsome fee from the landlord for doing so, and your rent money besides. Only rent from Millbanks if you believe a tenant is legally bound to fully conduct the management duties, reparation coordination and administrative arrangements of a landlord's property, and should pay Millbanks for the joys of doing so, concurrent to them being paid to email commands at you and pass your phone number around to anyone they feel like. We also happen to live close to the Millbank office, and many of the members of staff are rude, dismissive or can be heard making snide remarks about our household when encountered, long before the issues as above materialised - quite surprising conduct, considering we literally pay their business to live here!
