Negative experience: I am sharing this based on my personal experience as a former tenant of LCL Lettings. My deposit repayment request was left unactioned well beyond the 10 day Housing Act requirement and the 14 day DPS requirement. I was told it had been “sent to accounts,” but the DPS portal showed no action. Calls were not answered, and I received messages such as “sorry, with the client” and “have you logged on and made the request back” despite being told it had already been sent for approval. I eventually had to complete a Statutory Declaration from abroad. The deposit was only approved after Ipswich Borough Council ward councillors intervened and warned of escalation to Trading Standards and Housing Enforcement. The director has also previously appeared before a Propertymark Disciplinary Tribunal (Ref: Y0001881), which is publicly available. Based on my experience, I would not use this agency again.

She would patiently explain everything to me, she would discuss every part of the process and kept me calm when I found parts stressful. Fantastic experience: I never have to worry about my properties when they are in LCL's hands. I know that they are well managed, with Lucinda always informing if there's repairs needed and recommending reliable tradesmen to do the job at a reasonable price and if we were ever to encounter a tenant that is late on their payments, she is always on the case and explain the situation thoroughly and then help to recoup it back. LCL is honest and while not the most aggressive agent in the market, you know you and your tenants are well look after and that could only end up making the whole Buy to Let experience a pleasurable one for all parties involved.

Fantastic experience: Nothing is ever a problem. In the few Years LCL Lettings have been managing my property portfolio, everything has been done in a timely fashion. I can always speak to someone if I need to and responses to queries via email are rapid. On the odd occasion a problem has arrisen, they have dealt with it post haste and taken the stress away from me.

Negative experience: Extremely rude staff. I was trying to enquire on property listed on their website, and the first thing I was told were none of the 5 property that I saw on their website are avaliable. However they have got one which the price was above my budget, the next moment, the staff just said she is so sorry and she hung up the line without saying anything else.

We was not expecting a response until monday due to it being the weekend but to our surprise we got a response.
