Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend! From the selling process with Jess and Andy, to the sales progression and completion with Jenny, we couldn’t fault their service. Jess was quick to get it on the market and book viewings in, with fast responses to emails and calls. Jenny kept us informed at all times on the progress of our VERY messy, complicated and long chain, and was always at the end of the phone if we needed anything. We don’t plan to move house again, but if we did, we wouldn’t hesitate to use Moores!

Negative experience: Disappointing & Untrustworthy. During a part-exchange process, Moores provided significantly different valuations for our property, with figures varying by tens of thousands of pounds. When we sought an explanation, we were told the valuation had been challenged and later revised. When Will from Moores came to visit and value our property, he said the “good news is the value of your home has gone up”. In his subsequent report, the price had decreased by £20,000. This left us with very little confidence in the consistency and independence of the valuation process. We also found the attitude towards our concerns dismissive and unhelpful. Unfortunately, we left feeling more confused than reassured.

Fantastic experience: We dealt with the Moores team on a recent purchase - one that was not without its complexities. Jenny drove the process and was absolutely fantastic throughout; she went above and beyond, and was a real pleasure to work with.

Negative experience: Upon viewing a rental property with this establishment, we were left feeling very annoyed by the unprofessional attitude of the inexperienced letting agent who dealt with us. After several phone calls being unanswered, we expressed concern in the delay for a response to the property enquiry (Four days after the viewing and application being submitted) to which we received lies over the phone as well as very rude and unprofessional responses, full of attitude and excuses. - I have received better customer service from teenagers on work experience!. I do not recommend using this amateur estate agency for anything.

Fantastic experience: Buying a house during the Covid-19 pandemic has at times been stressful to say the least however Jenny and her team have gone above and beyond to ensure we have been able to complete the purchase of our first home and ensure we were able to move in! Negative experience: So we've just sold our family home of 62 years. It took just over a year. Vernon from Moore's reeled us in with fancy talk and reasonable commission February 2019. Then things started to go awry. For the first month a new employee at their Grantham office did nothing and so we had no viewings. Vernon came and apologised. Great . Then an open house which resulted in an eccentric couple putting in an acceptable offer last March. This couple were still asking questions in January this year We were advised on several occasions that this couple should be allowed to do their own conveyancing and Jenny Moore advised us that her gut feeling was to go with this couple.. Because of this the house was off the market for several months. We made the decision to stop talking to the eccentric couple in January 2020, the house was put back on the market and it sold. Jenny talks over you. We've not heard from Vernon since .Today, on completion, no call just an email asking for a review so hence this. Savills rang me personally although it was a client from Moore's who bought. I wouldn't use Moores again.

Negative experience: Appalling service from Moores, stay as far away from them as possible. Incredibly shady business practices and are now going out of their way to make it difficult to sell my flat. I was trying to sell my flat with them tenanted, however on a number of occasions they took non-buy to let investors round and even went as far as telling my tenants they could be removed at 2 months notice and they don't have a choice in the matter without any sort of prior discussion with myself. Often late for viewings if they showed up at all and in some cases, cancelled viewings without informing my tenants. Having now moved my property to another estate agent, Moores have now placed a "Sold STC" sign outside my property despite the fact it was never sold and are refusing to remove the property from Rightmove which is causing confusion for potential buyers. I have reported them to the ombudsman who I hope will take action.

Negative experience: Well I can only rate on my personal experience. Went to Moores to help sell our home: * full of the joys of spring on initial contact "I can sell your house by tomorrow" * over the course of about six weeks they sent a grand total of zero viewers (when others were sending a steady stream). * their only real suggestion was "we need to get to the top of Rightmove again by reducing the price". Funny how estate agents play down Rightmove at the front end when they know that we could list online independently for a few hundred pounds, yet when they can't generate any viewings it is all down to Rightmove!

Negative experience: Beware - Prior to moving into the rented property the agented promised me all the world to get me through the door, carpet cleaning, new carpets (in some rooms), full professional clean and other small adjustments to me done to the house... NONE of this was carried out. After the first 6 months in the property I received a letter from Moores increasing my rent and demanding that I sign another 6 month contract and pay an admin fee of £50 for the pleasure (Not once was did it state that this was optional until I called in that same day). After moving out, Moores demanded that I have the carpets cleaned, the house fully professionally cleaned and oven professionally cleaned - which adds up to a grand total of £450. Which I would have been happy to pay had the house been clean when I moved in, the carpets been cleaned as agreed, the oven had been cleaned and the fact that I had spent two days solid cleaning the house, to the point where it was cleaner when I had moved in. Luckily enough I have pictures to prove that state of the house when I moved in, although Moores are now dragging their heals with the DPS, forgetting to send in key information, fill out the right forms and taking the full allotted time between each stage. This is either due to incompetence or snide behaviour, I feel the latter. Make sure you have pictures of everything when you move in and everything in writing. Luckily enough I do, else this could have gone very differently.
